Acrobat 9 Pro - Print Number of Copies

At times I want to print to paper 2, 3, or 4 copies of the same document.  With the printer window opened, it allows me to select the quantity, but when I click OK to proceed to print I received another popup window reading:
The printer cannot support this many copies.
Number of copies will be set to printer maximum of 1.
What/Where/How do I find the setting to resolve this issue?

Bill...  do not misunderstand my words as your views are not my intentions.  Take into account, there is a difference between asking the OP, "Have you checked the Print Drivers", and or, "If so, what did you learn?"; rather than telling the OP what the issue is before all facts are gathered, then becoming defensive or insulted.
Example:
I am cooking.  I taste the food and say, "Something doesn't taste right.  You say, "You didn't add salt".  I respond, "I did, it's not salt, it must be something else".  Instead of asking first if I added salt, or offering another suggestion, you are insulted and or become defensive.  Case in point.
I hope this cleared up your unjustified comment.
Back on subject:
I posted the screen-shot on the fly and first time using this forum and its UI.  When it is clicked on, it expands (as you saw).  After it expands.  Change the "Zoom Level" on your screen to find the correct resolution.  Hint - It tells no more than the words in my original post.
Thanks for your help.  I'm going to sleep before the sun comes up.  Have a happy Sunday.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro serial number will not install or register

I just purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and tried to install it on my computer.  I entered the serial number and registered it.  However, every time i open the program, it warns me that my 30 day trial will expire in 0 days.  I click on "license this software" and enter the serial number again, and register it again.  It works for one instance of use, then the insanity begins all over, and the trial expiration message pops up next time i open the program.
I have tried uninstalling the software, then running the adobe cleaning tool, restarting the computer, then installing the software again.  This did not solve the problem.
It is nearly impossible to talk to a human being at Adobe customer support.
    Can anyone help me?

    what os?
what file(s) (name/extension) have your downloaded and is their file size?

  • Acrobat Pro - Printing Problems

I've just started having problems printing from Acrobat Pro 9.0.  I've heard there might be a patch or something to solve this issue, but can't find anything.  I realize that this is an old program, but don't have the funds to upgrade, so have to stick with what I have.  The problem occurs every time I try and print a PDF that was created in Illustrator or InDesign (it says that there are no pages selected or it just funnels through like it's going to print, but nothing happens and it disappears from the print queue.  Occasionally I have a problem printing PDF's that were created from other sources (or downloaded from the web) - most of the time these take at least 15 minutes or so to print each page.
This just started happening.  I don't have problem printing from other programs, just Acrobat Pro.  Any help that anyone can send would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you for responding to all of my questions and helping with this problem.  I'm sorry, but I'm not sure how to apply these.  I've opened up the link and it wants me to connect to a server…I selected guest.  It doesn't connect to anything.  I'm not exactly sure what I am supposed to be doing with this.

  • Can't enter 24-digit Acrobat Pro serial number

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac which has a 24-bit serail number. I had installed and registered it before. I have changed my system and have to reinstall, but the install process only lets me enter 3 digits per field. How can I get around this?

You should contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

  • Acrobat Pro Print Settings for digital presses

    Hi everyone,
I am a digital printer running a xerox 700 digital press with Kodak Creo Rip Software. I have had some issues printing from Acrobat pro where the colors get real dark or distorted. I am sure it is just a color profile issue but I am not sure where to look for info. Does any one have settings(color profile, color handling)  that work well for them? I feel a little like I am grasping straws to get this color right. I would call Kodak to ask them about what they recomend but they have stopped supporting thier software( by the way printers don't let Xerox talk you into using Creo. It is completely unsupported). Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

Because when you start a new thread someone inevitibly gets on you for not searching for an existing thread.
I have an HP 2509m monitor.  There is no luminance setting but according to specs it's 300 nits.  Brightness is set to 90.  I can't find anywhere that will give me the cd/m2.  I really don't think it's the monitor since my Epson R1900 does not have the same issue.  I played with the settings some more and it seems color density is the only thing that make a noticable difference.  I turned off color controls on the printer and used CS4 for color management.  Set the ICM to the right printer and paper.  That DID make a difference but not much - still very dark printout.  And I'm not talking a little darker than what's on the screen - I'm talking black where it shoud be gray.
Here's the picture I'm having trouble with.  This is reduced in quality so I could post it, but you can still see what I'm talking about.  Note the building on the very bottom.  To the right of that are some hills that are dark green and you can make out some of the detail of a road with parked cars along it.  They're dark, but you can make them out.  In the printout, pretty much everything except the building is black.

Can you see the green hills on your monitor?
I thought it might be the paper so I tried it with glossy instead of semigloss.  Same result.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Printing Problem

Hello everyone I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5 and when I print a file I have some issue with the design elements.  I have a american flag and has some areas which expand.  Below is a picture of what the file should look like:
No what happens is the file prints like this:
Please not the expanded white area in between the red stripes on the american flag.  This may vary from file to file, but I cannot have this since these will be sent out to a customer for approval.  I have tried Adobe Illustrator, and have no problem with the file.  I have saving a PDF from Adobe Illustrator and then printing in Adobe Acrobat Pro for proper color.  Any suggestions would be great!  I can provide more information also.  Thanks!

Without actually having the digital assets to look at, it is a real cr*pshoot to guess as to what is going on here.
What is the pseudo-American flag in term of object types? Vector, raster, what? Perhaps you can point us to the objects to examine?

  • Acrobat Pro Serial Number

Just purchased/upgraded to Acrobat Pro and need my serial number to install. Where do I get the serial number? Right now I can't open any PDFs at all, though I could before I purchased this.

    Hi Sara,
No dice. I can't open any PDFs at all right now, and I could open them just
fine before I paid for the Acrobat Pro subscription. Initially, I continued
to get the request to enter my serial number when I tried to open the
program today, so I uninstalled the download and reinstalled it. When I
tried to open it after downloading again, I received this error message:
I continue to struggle with this app. Can you please assist?
    Thanks,

  • Unable to print number of copies on label printer

    Hi Everyone,
I am able to print smartform any number of copies on standard printer.
But when I change from standard printer name to Label printer name and execute the smartform with number of copies ( greater than 1 ).
For label printer I am able to print only one copy, irrespective of number of copies specified. However I can able to number of copies specified for standard printer.
Can anyone help me what could be the reason? Is that any settings should be done for label printer ?
    Thanks.

    Paddy,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
The problem might be a corrupt preference. Does this problem occur with all applications? If not, which application?
Try Repair Disk Permissions using Disk Utility.

  • I never received an Adobe Acrobat Pro serial number

I can't read any pdf files even though I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro specifically to get a serial number which I never received, in order to read pdf files.  EVERY time I click on a pdf a notice pops-up telling me to enter my serial number.  How do I get my serial number?

Did you buy a subscription? If so, there is no serial number. Just make sure you are signed in to Acrobat with the same Adobe ID as you used to buy the subscription.

  • InDesign CS6 print number of copies issue

    Hello!
I have a document that I needed 25 copies of, so I set the # of copies to 25 and off it went. No issue. However, now when I go to a different doc and I print, the # of copies stayed at 25 when I only needed 1. I have to remember to change the # of copies every time I go to print. I was wondering, if there is a preference or setting within the print options for InDesign to return each doc back to 1 copy instead of keeping the previous # of copies?
    Thanks!

    Eugene,
Oh, ok. That's a bummer. Oh, well, lol. Thanks anyway!

  • Printing number of copies problem

    Hello,
I have a problem printing a smartform. In the printing dialog If I choose for example 3 copies, it only prints 1. No matter what I choose it always prints one copy only. I would like to print the 5 copys in the same spool order. For example If I saves the file in pdf format, I would like to have only one pdf file with 5 copies in the same file.
    Is this possible?
The client says it's an error...
    Best regards,
    Mario

well this is possible, if the driver program is coded accordingly.
SAP standard driver programs normally offer that functionality. Often you can find following line of coding in those programs:
    Do nast-anzal times.
      "print form
    enddo.

While on Adobe's site I had a chat with tech support. Once I gave them the serial number they said that it was volume license (I am a teacher and the school supplied the program) and that I would have to call the volume licensing number. I just spent 33 minutes on the phone with Adobe being bounced four different times. I called volume license number given in the chat, went through the problem. They transferred me to tech support where I gave them the same information again. They transferred me to Acrobat support. I gave them the information again and they said that I needed a service agreement (looks like the school does not have one) and would transfer me back to volume license. The last transfer just said that I should have been told that on the first call. I still do not have Acrobat Pro printing to my printer. All of my applications will print except Acrobat Pro. Any other suggestions?

  • How do i find out a serial number for acrobat Pro on a computer?

One of our staff has left the company and I want to transfer the license over to another computer. I have called Adobe Support and they kept on asking for the registered email address which I do not know. Phone support has referred me to this forum. Is there any way i can find out the acrobat Pro serial number on this computer?

    Hi bachus.d1,
Please check the KB : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html
Else you need to provide the registered email address or the Order number for us to track.
    Regards,

  • Unable to print multiple copies in Acrobat Pro

I am trying to print 2 copies of a 5 page PDF using Acrobat Pro 8.2.6
When i send the PDF to print 2 or more copies it goes as 1 document of 10,15,20 pages depending on how many copies I asked for.
It then prints page 1 of the second copy onto the back of page 5 of the first copy. not what I want!!!!
I have updated Acrobat to the latest version, deleted my printers including the drivers but no joy.
    Any ideas?

What OS? What printer and printer driver? What are you printer driver settings?
If you have an odd number of pages in your document, you might consider adding an intentionally blank page. If your printer will not print an intentionally blank page, print a page with white text on a white background.

  • Mac Acrobat Pro 9.3 can't print : pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err number 13

    Summary
Can't print PDF files from Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.3.0 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.2) to Brother MFC-7820N Printer (connected via USB).  Print queue consistently shows "pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err number 13".
    Steps to reproduce
Launch Acrobat Pro 9.3.0 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2
    Open SimpleOnePageDocument.pdf (attached)
    From File menu select Print
From Print Dialog select Brother MFC-7820N printer
    Click Print Button
    Results
Printing immediately fails.  Print queue shows "pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err number 13" (see attached picture)
    Expected Results
    Document prints
    Things I have tried
Downloading latest drivers from Brother for Snow Leopard (fall 2009 drivers)
System Preferences->Print and Fax->Reset Printing Subsystem
Print->Advanced->Postscript Options->Font and Resource Policy - Greyed out so I could not change from Send by Range to Send for each page
    Notes
I can print PDF files from the Preview application without any problems.
    System Info
    Operating System
Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2
    Product
Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.3.0 (installed as part of CS4)
    Printer
    Brother MFC-7820N connected via USB
    Printer Driver
    Brother MFC-7820N CUPS version 1.41

I have exactly the same problem since I changed my Mac for an Intel one (10.6.2 instead of Power PC 10.4).
My printer is a Canon MP610 but this has nothing to do with the printer and it's software. Adobe seems to be completely deaf to this issue which is very annoying as most of the downloaded documents you need to print are pdf nowadays.
I surrounded the issue by copying/pasting the pdf image in a jpeg file... This is very time consuming and I'm still waiting for a proper answer to this bug by Adobe.
Let's continue to write, hoping Adobe will begin to move on the subject...
