Acrobat 9 pro will not open and run Error (129:6) Please Help!

Error Message:
you cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling or contacting you IT administrator or Adobe support for help (129.6)
Everything was working fine and it just stopped. Please help me fix it.

This is a user forum, but with Adobe you might find better help here than in other places anyway. Many of the users here have been through most of the problems and if you hit one that has been there you will likely get a good answer. Some of the folks are good at making suggestions to try (as they would try) and others will try to replicate the problem if you give enough info. Many of us are a bit crazy for spending so much time here, but we learn along with helping, an aspect we enjoy - takes the edge off the day! (OK, maybe I am speaking for myself.)
If you run into some other specifics that may help others provide you ideas to try, do come back. If you find a solution to your problem, please report it also. Bill

    1. What is the version of Acrobat and Operating System?
    2. Have you tried repairing the product? if not then Go to Help -> Repair Acrobat Installation.

  • How can I run Photoshop Elements4 with Windows7. The operating system will not open and run it.

    My New computer has windows 7 installed, and it will not open and run my photoshop elements 4  programme. Do I need an upgrade, or can it be run in any other format on this computer.

    Did it install and you're just getting errors trying to run it? If so, try clicking on your Start button. Then, go to All Programs, find the entry for Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and "right click" on it. Select Properties, and in the Properties dialogue click the Compatibility Tab and try running it in XP Compatibility mode and see if it works that way.
    If not, then it is really not compatible. Just buy the latest (Photoshop Elelments 9) while they offer $40 mail-in rebate (Ends January 5, 2011)

    My Adobe Acrobat stopped opening pdfs. Now in the past it was Windows 8.1 playing tricks by thinking that the Adobe software was a trial which expired
    Doesn't launch after 30 days | Installed as part of a CS6 suite Tried it and it worked.
    Tried the fix again now no change.
    I suspect that a Microsoft patch stuffed it up. They have had a few problems.
    I used Reader with open with but I want pdf to be opened by Adobe.

    I installed Design web premium on my computer and all programs work and adobe acrobat pro worked for 3 weeks and now it will not open.  I am at a loss. Help!!!

    If Acrobat will open, go to Help>Repair to try to fix it. If not, go to Control Panel>Programs & Preferences and update from there. After the update, go back to the help menu and do the updates.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro will not open

    I recently purchased and installed some programs from the creative suite on my computer.  All worked well for a few months but now for some reason adobe acrobat refuses to open.  I have tried using the "Open PDF with..." option as well as opening from the start menu.  Nothing seems to happen; no error message or anything it just does not open.
    I am running windows 7 64-bit os on a lenovo w530 laptop.  The computer is almost new and lighting fast so it's not an issue of just being really slow.
    I would uninstall, clean, and reinstall but I'm not sure where the install file is and I believe I installed all of the creative suite at once. 
    Anybody have any ideas?

  • My iTunes 7.7 will not open, and no errors are showing up!

    I am running a Dell Inspirion 9400, with Windows XP SP3.
    I was using iTunes one day and all was well, I came back the next day to find my computer was restarted in lue of windows forcing updates on me, ( I have automatic updates turned off ) I am not sure which ones they were. When I tried to log onto iTunes 7.6 it would not turn on, so I tried to turn off some of my processes to see if they were holding me up. I must have turned off the wrong process because everything got all screwy, which forced me to turn off my computer and restart it.
    Once my computer was starting to run I immediately went into safe mode. Once I was in safe mode I ended some other processes and finally iTunes opened up. When iTunes opened I was notified that a new version was available 7.7, so I messed around in safe mode for a minute until I realized it would not recognize my iTouch.
    I restarted my computer normally and immediatly went and downloaded the newest version of iTunes 7.7, and once installed I told it to launch after installation. When it finally launched I noticed that still it would not accept my iTouch, but still I continued to play around with it. I had to restart my computer later in the day for a seperate issue, and iTunes has yet to work ever since. That was about last thursday.
    I have searched these forums numerous times, and even gone to apples in house support page, and tried a couple different things like deleting some files that apple said to do, and to run some program somebody said to run with a similar problem, and still nothing has worked yet.
    I am getting quite frustrated with this issue and I am about two shakes of a lambs tail on giving up and just trashing iTunes, and selling my iTouch.
    If anyone could possibly give me some insight on what I may do inorder to conquer this problem it would be very much appreciated.
    I apologize about the wall of words that you must go through to figure out my conflict.

    I went to the link you said to and then clicked on the "Firefox Free Download, 9.0.1 for Windows, English (US)" and that took me to ''http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-9.0.1&os=win&lang=en-US'' which had another limk to click on to start the download.
    The file downloaded but when I tried to run it my AntiVirus (ZoneAlarm) said that it was corrupt. So I removed that file and downloaded another from the same site and ZoneAlarm said that was infected and a contained possible malicious virus.
    So now I have no Mozilla Firefox and do not know how to get it back in a version that will run.
    Anyone, please help if you can.

    Photoshop CS6 on Windows 7 will not work,
    When machine is first started the program works, for about 10 mins, then
    I can not open files, create new ones. When it does work it can not perform functions like transform etc.
    I tried disabling third party plug ins
    I tried creating a new account on my machine
    Nothing seems to work.
    Can any one shed some light on the problem?

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

    Hi,  Two days ago I was able to type this in my browzer (Safari, Macintosh)  and open the page.  Now for two days I have tried this again and get a massage that the server at this location (192.168.1.1 ) is not responding.  How can I get onto this page.  I need to change the settings on my WRT54G V8.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Sorry to hijack your thread but my issue is very similar and driving me nuts!
    For some reason my wireless network at home started playing up.  I thought I'd do some quick fixes....not so quick.
    Original set-up was AM300 DSL modem (192.168.1.1) with desktop pc cabled into port 1 of WRT610N (10.10.10.1).  I used to be able to access both ip numbers to get into menus.
    After trying to troubleshoot an issue with my mrs wifi connection, I am now unable to access 10.10.10.1 via port 1 on WRT610N direct to my PC's LAN port (I have 2 LAN ports on PC and no luck with either).  If I plug into my laptop and not the desktop, no issue accessing 10.10.10.1 (router).
    I have pinged 192.168.1.1 as suggested above and get 0% loss on laptop but when plugged into desktop I get 'geenral failure' and 100% loss.
    I'm no expert at PC's but was able to build the desktop I had and had it running for a year without issue.  So why are my LAN ports on my desktop giving me grief?  And it always appears to be showing as a 'public netwrok' on my desktop when in 'network and sharing center'.  I change it to private (as it sound like the right thing) but ends up as an 'unidentified network' (or similar).
    I assume more detail is better than too little?  Thx for reading.

  • LR 5.3 will not open Sony A7r files, can anyone please help?

    I installed lightroom 5 from disc, then updated to 5.2 and 5.3 so I could open files from the Sony A7r.  After hours, I keep getting "files can not be read".  I am able to open the files in PS 6.  I have reinstalled LR twice.  I probably need to be frustrated with me for something, but I am at a loss?  Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

    my mail app on my macbook pro will not open and i've had problems with it since day one. i simply use to ignore this problem and use a different email source, but now the computer won't even restart because the mail app will not quit. how do i fix this?

    I found that the problem with many gmail installations in Apple Mail (and other mail clients) is related to Google's two step verification process. If you remember getting text codes on your mobile device(s) asking you to verify your email account, this is a possibility for you. You may have to log onto GMail from your browser, got to the "gear" icon->settings->Change account settings->Change password recovery options, then put in your password again at the resulting verification window, and turn off secondary verification via text in the ensuing windows. This prevents the mail client from failing to verify via a password you may not even have access to in order to go online. Once you have done this and saved it, you should be able to send and receive mail and no longer be prompted for your password unsuccessfully over and over. MAke sure, of course, that all your regular email settings are correct again (like FULL email address in user name fields), now that you may have changed lots of things in the vain attempt to overcome this rather obscure problem
    P.S., it's a Google issue, not an Apple issue. It seems Apple and Apple Mail hs been getting a bit of a bad rap here for being asked to do the impossible based on what it has been given to work with.
