Acrobat 9 Standard serial key invalid error

My Acrobat 9 Standard Serial number is not working. It keeps saying the serial is "invalid". The Chat support said it's a valid serial number. I'm not sure if it's ok to post the serial number here, so I won't. I need some assistance as soon as possible. This is killing my productivity.

Equally, even if you posted the number there is nothing we could do with it. (Except, possibly, install the software, which would leave you without it).
It's really a cop-out. We can't look up or check serials (unless you happen to find an Adobe staff person who happens to see your message and help).
Things to double and triple check.
1. That you have the right software, for the right platform (Mac or Win)
2. That you are using the ORIGINAL installer - disk or download. Don't assume you can download a replacement for a disk.
3. If you are typing the number try copy/paste. If you are copy/pasting it, try typing it. Problems can happen e.g. with copy/paste a serial starting with a space.

  • Serial Key Invalid: Conspiracy?

    Hello,
    I have the full version of Creative Suite Premium. I uninstalled it from my computer, reformated the hard drive, and reinstalled Windows XP. I went to reinstall CS and it says my serial key is invalid. I have done this in the past and have never had a problem. I also have 5 other computers in the house and same thing on all of them. Yes it is the full version and I purchased it from Adobe. I called Abobe and have since talked to 4 people and a supervisor. None of them can help me becuase my version is not supported anymore. They all want me to upgrade to CS4 and I really dont get anywhere with anyone. I personally do not need the upgrade, I am ok with just using the version I purchased in the past. For the amount of money these programs cost I am suprised the customer support only works for the past 2 versions. So currently CS4 and CS3 are the only supported versions right now. But when CS5 comes out CS3 will no longer be supported. So support has nothing to do with a time frame, its purely based on new versions that are produced. I asked them that if I upgrade to CS4 and it still says serial key invalid, will I be under warranty to get my money back? They stated it is impossible not to work. They said they will just issue a new serial number and then it will work. However, right now they cannot issue me a new serial number for my old version becuase they dont support it. Now I have read about alot of people saying this same exact thing has happend to them, not just the fact that it doesnt work anymore, but the fact that Adobe in no way helps with this matter unless you pay for an upgrade. My opinion now is Adobe makes the codes invalid on purpose after a certain period of time to force you to upgrade. Maybe this is a little far fetched, but what other explanation can their be? Adobe has confirmed wih me on the phone I am in the system and the serial number I have is a valid number. They do not deny that, but I am pretty much at a dead spot here. I either upgrade or cant use the software that was purchased just a few years ago. What I would like people to post is not only ideas of anything else that can be done to resolve this issue, but your opinion to the invalid serial number idea and if this has ever happend to you and if you were forced to upgrade by Adobe...........Thanks.

    I can understand your frustration but the complaint loses a lot of its impact if it is embedded in so much padding.
    So the serial key is invalid and Adobe Customer Service won't help?
    Escalate it until you get a supervisor that talks sense.
    What do you mean "I also have 5 other computers in the house and same thing on all of them"?

  • Acrobat Standard XI key verification problem

    There is not an option to select Acrobat Standard XI to verify the product key.  I read some other posts related to this.  I bought the program from the website.  I have never purchased a program from adobe before now.  I have downloaded reader in the past.  I'm also not horribly knowledgeable with all of this so simple fix suggestions are best,  Thanks!

    As "Test Screen Name" have said correctly this is verification steps to check upgrade eligibility.
    Which means you have purchased Acrobat  XI standard as Upgrade from the previous version. It is looking for the serial number for the previous version you own.

  • Creative Cloud, Photoshop serial key invalid...help

    I have creative cloud. Within creative cloud I have purchased photoshop and acrobat xi pro.
    I just did a clean reinstall on my mac. I downloaded creative cloud, logged in and went to the www.adobe.com to get the serial key for my photoshop.
    When I install photoshop and enter the serial key I get a message displaying "The serial key is invalid".
    Photoshop is quite expensive so I do not want to buy it again
    Can anyone help me with this problem?

    There is no serial number for the Creative Cloud Membership.
    The activation is being done via your Adobe ID/Email address.
    I have verified your account and I was not able to retrieve any membership.
    Would you have another email address?
    If yes, could you please try to activate your subscription with that email address?
    If still you are being asked to enter a serial number with the right Adobe ID, please follow instructions below:
    1. Sign out - Sign in

  • Adobe acrobat standard serial number  is not recognized and cannot install?

    I purchased acrobat standard and have a serial number and order number but in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome it is marked as invalid number when I try to install it.  I have tried the serial number with and without dashes but same results.  I have spent a lot of time but no results.  Not happy about this.  Installation should be simple and user friendly.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I had Acrobat Standard 9.5 on a laptop that broke.  Adobe Acrobat Standard is paid for and all I need. I had to get a new PC (Windows 8.1) and I did downloaded Standard 9.5 but when I went to install it the installer gave me an “Error applying transforms please ensure specified transform paths are valid”.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

    No error numbers other than the message I mentioned previously.
    I tried the transforms repair and it reported no Acrobat product (correct, none yet installed) or no administrative privileges (I am the administrator and have done previous administrative actions).
    When I unzip the Acrobat file this is what is in the setup ini file:

    I bought a student edition LR 5, paid and dowloaded it, received the order number and serial key. Did everything accordingly but all I get is a reply saying SERIAL NUMBER invalid pls contact costumer support.  Tried to do that for about 3 hs still no success. WHAT TO DO????

I went to re-install it on my new MacBook Air (OSX 10.9.3), by downloading it from the link provided in the 'orders' section of the Adobe website and entering the serial number, but it will not let me proceed as it says the serial number is invalid.     No. I already tried to run it by the Adobe support via chat, and they said to try here as the serial number was 'valid' :-S
    It says 'The serial number you have entered is not valid. Click OK to retry entering the serial number.'
    Note, I do not have the full CS, only Adobe Acrobat Pro, Reader, and Photoshop Elements installed.

    (1) I just downloaded Adobe Acrobat XI
    (2) After clicking the icon I receive a message that theSerial Number is Valid but product could not be found on computer.
    (3) There is a dropdown list of Adobe products to look for but Adobe Acrobat XI is not included.
    (4) Now what?

    You've entered an upgrade serial number.
    The XI installer is saying that it accepts your upgrade serial number but cannot find an earlier qualifying product on your computer. You must have upgraded at some point in the past.
    So it's asking you to select an earlier qualifying version from the dropdown list (Acrobat 9 or X) and enter the serial number from that version to prove you are eligible to use the Acrobat XI upgrade serial number.

  • K450e motherboard replaced now says error code 00ce machine type and serial number invalid

    Hey guys i just got a replacement motherboard, after motherboard was replaced on bootup the computer says error code 00ce: machine type and serial number are invalid. How do i get rid of this error it was replaced by the same motherboard type that was previously in the system. How can i reset the bios or enter the serial etc? Lenovo tech support was no help.

    Actually, you are out of luck if you are looking for Acrobat Standard. I have run into a problem because the link is for Adobe 9.0 Pro and the serial no. for Std. won't work. I asked Adobe customer (chat) service for a downloadable of the Standard and they said they don't have one. Did you get the Std. version as part of the preinstalled software on your computer? If so, it would be on the recovery media of your old laptop but I don't know how you would retrieve it from there. I am in the exact same boat as you are. Let me know if you find out how to get the media for the Standard by responding on this thread. Thanks.

    The X to XI upgrade price is less than the full price for XI. As Test ScreenName points out, purchasing X now would cost even more, because it's a "legacy" product. Contact Cutomer Service http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/return-cancel-or-change-order.html  and they can help you to "change the purchase" from an upgrade to the full product.
