Acrobat 9 user guide? help files????

I'm using Acrobat Pro 9.5
When I click on help I get an HTML page:
file:///C:/Program%20Files/Common%20Files/Adobe/Help/en_US/Acrobat%20Pro/9.0/help.html?con tent=WS76F8368A-2F01-421d-9437-06EEB1C68BA4.html
all it does is list community help, user forums, tutorials and  articles..... there's a nice search box on the left, but anything I type in there results in absolutely nothing happening.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS....  Is it too much to ask for, for an actual user guide that I can see a table of contents and search through it?  How about a PDF User Guide?  If there is one, why don't they show us where it is?  You'd think for this amount of money it would include a user guide.

You can download the Acrobat 9 Help file (in a PDF form) here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Professional/acrobat_pro_9.0_help.pdf
If you'd like to access the most up-to-date Acrobat 9 Help content, please visit: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Professional/index.html
Sorry for the trouble you've had.  Please let us know if you have any questions.

Hello AKA_TG,
There are manuals installed on your PC. You can find them at
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2010\manuals
Hope this helps.
But of course these do not include anything like a complete set of manuals like in the 'old' days'. The only included manuals of much help to a beginner are the getting started and quick reference manuals.
AKA_TG,
If you want a hardcopy, your only real option is to do a print of the LabVIEW Help. I have not done a print in a long while. What I tend to do is look at the release and upgrade notes to see what has changed and then look it up in the Help. I'll also open any new examples with Context Help turned on.

• FYI: Numbers for iOS downloadable user guide (Help)

If you click the link below, the web page that displays has a small printer icon in the upper right corner.
If you click that icon, it displays an option for Book Numbers Help.
If you click Numbers Help, a print sheet displays and you can either print to paper or save to PDF.

Hope this helps!

After clicking Book, however, I only see an option to print, not an option to Save to PDF.  (Well the browser and OS might make a difference. I looked at it on Firefox, Windows.)
Probably the OS.  On a Mac, the print dialogue always includes a PDF button.  If you want the pdf, I could try to send it you (2.3mb) if you email me (tom at bluesky dot org).

• Acrobat 7.0 Help PDF

I have v. 7 and want to copy/paste some of its text into a Word document. I cannot find the A7.0 PDF help file on the adobe.com site and the Help function provides a window that you cannot copy. Help!

Use the help menu in Acrobat. The help file is about 280 pages or so of information. You may be able to find a PDF version of the help in the DOC folder of your Acrobat installation. To cut and paste text (assuming you have the fonts and such), you simply use the text select tool.

The original generation 3560/3750 series have "paper" licenses.  You can either order them, originally, with the advanced license, the "-E" suffix, or you can order them with the base license, the "-S" suffix, and later, if desired, "upgrade" them by purchasing a paper license.
Technically, the device has no license management, so it will run either the base or advanced IOS; whatever is installed.
As the original generation devices are EoS, I don't believe advanced "paper" licenses are still available.  If not, would be unable to legally run an advanced IOS image on a device that doesn't already have the advanced license.

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)
* On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
* Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshooting extensions and themes article for that.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.
Thank you.

• Help! can not open zen x-fi2 user guide

it seems that microsoft xp sp2 has a security issue that keeps me from opening the user's guide. i have searched the internet but all of the solutions have a method that involves going into the registry and i am not techie enough to trust my self doing that. one suggestion was try saving it to my computer and right clicking the file and click on proprieties and the clicking on the unblock button, of course don't you know that the unblock button was not available either. i have been working on this for several hours on my own and now i give up. would someone please e-mail a copy of the open? zen x-fi2 user guide if this is possible.
many thanks in advance for your help.
larry

You are trying to open the wrong thing. If you want to open the User Guide do not choose the Help file. Just open the User Guide. Was this User Guide a part of when you installed the software.
If so then you can open it thru by going to Start>All Programs>Creative>X-Fi2>User Guide.

• User Guide Launches Adobe Acrobat 5 for OS 9

When I go to the Help menu & pull down to User Guide it launches Adobe Acrobat 5 for OS 9. At first it would just give the spinning wheel until I rebooted. Then I went to Get Info for the old version & checked the box "Open in the Classic environment". Now it launches the Classic environment, then launches Acrobat Reader 5. How can I get the User Guide to use Adobe Reader 7.0.8? I can't find the Help document to make the change. Any help you can provide is very much appreciated.

Possible but it depends upon you needs.
A Bootstrapper installation will be big but it has the benifit of being able to install any update type (security or quarterly).
Administrative Installation Point has the benefit of being smaller but if there is a security update you have to uninstall the entire thing and install a new AIP with the security Update built into it.

• Could not open Help File 'Aperture User Manual.PDF'

I downloaded the trial version, while waiting for my boxed version of Aperture to arrive. Once it came in, I entered the serial number and continued using the original application. However, when I try to access the user manual via Help, I get an Alert saying, "Could not open Help File 'Aperture User Manual.PDF'". I manually copied the PDF file from the CD to the documents folder, and then from there to the Applications folder - nothing makes a difference. I even reinstalled - same results. I have tried some of the other items in Help -- if it is for a manual, I get the same Alert.
Any help would be appreciated.
Russ

The files are all there. When I checked their properties, I noticed that the PDF files didn't point to adobe acrobat reader!
Before uninstalling Aperture and then reinstalling it, I tried to reinstall the latest version of Acrobat Reader. Suddenly, I could access the Aperture documents!
I am using a new iMac -- apparently, when I transfered all of my files from my old G5 iMac, Acrobat hadn't properly transfered. Reinstalling Adoe solved the problem!
Thanks for the help!
