Acrobat Content Viewer on iPad

Any ideas on getting the Acrobt Content Viewer to authenticate on my iPad?  I have done all the emails, changed my password, nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Syrena

Authentication Failed usually shows up in two situations: (1) if you're trying to sign in with an Adobe ID that hasn't been verified. Have you signed in to https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and verified your Adobe ID? (2) if your iPad isn't connected to the Internet.

  • Adobe Content Viewer in iPad dont update the contents on mi Folio Builder! Help!

    Please, someone have de same problem?!
    When i update my folio through the Folio Builder in Indesign 5.5, the Content Viewer in iPad dont update de folio.
    In Acrobat.com i see the contents update, but in iPad/Adobe Content Viewer not.
    Why this problem happens?
    Tanks.

    As I wrote on another thread (and this was directed at Adobe employees)
    "I have been closely monitoring many threads here at DPS (and DPS Private Beta Forums) in the last few weeks, and yes I am new to this particular product group having only been in it since March.  But I wonder if there is some way that Adobe can be made aware of how serious this issue is with Builder and Viewer and tools "not lining up" with Apple.
    "To keep putting this problem on Apple is somewhat of a shopworn technique (and I say this with all due respect.). Still, Apple commands fully 80+ % of the tablet market.  They are the big dog.
    "Suggestions for the future:  Perhaps there will be a way to choose a tools/viewers workflow at startup -- or to put a bigger "red flag" before installing any update that is not yet supported by Apple.  Approaching this from the engineering side, you may have forgotten just how many disclaimer screens the average designer/production person faces every week!  Many of us don't read them carefully. (Richard Dreyfuss reads them).
    "I have nothing but admiration for what Adobe software engineers are trying to do -- and these are nascent times to be sure.  But it certainly seems like this launch is going poorly.

  • Need help: unable to login Adobe Content Viewer on iPad

    Need help: not able to login with my Adobe Id and password on adobe content viewer on iPad.  I'm able to login on the adobe.com site with my Id and password, but not on my iPad in the adobe content viewer.  I've reset my Adobe ID password a couple of times to make sure I'm using the correct password and ID and I've even tried it with a complete new Adobe ID account, but it has not helped. Anybody who knows how to solve this?

    Your Adobe ID needs to be verified to work with DPS. Can you use that Adobe ID to sign in to the Folio Builder panel? If not, sign in to http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and follow the prompts to verify the Adobe ID.
    If your Adobe ID is verified, try removing the Adobe Content Viewer app from both the iPad and iTunes, sync, and install it again.

  • Folio not appearing in Adobe Content Viewer on ipad

    folio i created in indesign cs5.5 not appearing in Adobe Content Viewer on ipad.
    I have CS5.5, Apple ipad 1st gen ios 5.0.1 Adobe content viewer 1.9.1
    the folio appears on the acrobat.com site in the FOLIO PRODUCER
    but nothing is appearing on my ipad in the Adobe Content Viewer.
    I work for a large magazine publisher and would like to demo the folio on the ipad to sell the concept of the DPS.
    However if i cant get this on my device, its going to be a no go.
    Help please.
    Thanks,
    James.

    Thanks Ants,
    Your doubts motivated me to do some testing on the subject;-)
    I made several files of different dimensions, and uploaded them to the cloud. All of them rendered correctly on the desktop. But only those which used exact 4:3 width:height ratio  appeared in the Content Viewer on the iPad. And only those, which were at least 1024x768px. A perfect 4:3 document sized 768x576 did not show. But the 1536x1152 one appeared correctly.
    I am still certain, that the reason of absence od James' file in his iPad was caused by the dimensions of the folio. I would however modify my statement:
    Only the folios sized exactly 1024x768 px (Landscape, portrait or both orientations) are valid for iPad
    It should be: Only the folios sized 1024x768 px or more, with exact 4:3 ratio (Landscape, portrait or both orientations) are valid for iPad.

    Tomek

  • Content Viewer on iPad issue

    Anyone else seeing something like this— I have a folio shared with me. I open Content Viewer on iPad (which is up to date and restarted). I sign in and attempt to download the shared folio. It throws an error and then I am signed out and all of the shared folios dissappear from the Content Viewer (because they are still in the cloud). I can't find a way around it—so I hook up the iPad to my machine and preview shared folios through InDesign.

    That sounds like the v25 double sign-in bug. In some situations, you need to sign in twice to see your folios.

  • Viewing Folios with DPS Folio Producer and Adobe Content Viewer on IPad?

    What is the path to viewing a folio, on an IPad, that has been published with the DPS Folio Producer.
    Opening Adobe Content Viewer on IPad has no obvious path to the folio in the Producer.
    There is no obvious path to the library in Adobe Content Viewer, either?
    Logged in both with Adobe I.D.
    Using ID CS6 on Windows.
    Also as a Creative Cloud single member what is the process of being able to publish unlimited apps to the IPad.
    Thank you in advance for your response.
    James Goins

    Unfortunately, if you're on Windows you have no process to publish an
    app. You need a Mac.
    I wish Adobe would allow Creative Cloud members to use the same process
    that Pro and Enterprise subscribers have by exporting a zip file. You
    still need a Mac but you can pretty much use any Mac you have access to.
    With Creative Cloud to publish a Single Edition app, you must have
    InDesign installed on a Mac and you generate the app by choosing create
    app from the folio builder panel menu.
    All that said, if you create a folio while signed into the folio builder
    panel, that folio should show up in Adobe Content Viewer as long as
    you're properly signed into it.

  • Content Viewer: only iPad shows html5 content

    Hello! I embedded an html5 audio player into InDesign Cs6. It works great on the Content Viewer on iPad, but not on the Desktop Content viewer. Is it always like that?

    Thank you so much, Neil!
    I'm trying to build an app with scores and music in InDesign Cs6. I want to publish my app for iPad and Samsung Galaxy,
    so for IOS and Android. Because I want the control buttons to look the same in both mobile operating systems, I tried to build the controls on my own in native html5 audio, but I suppose, I'm not capable of doing that.
    I am trying to find controls (native html5 audio) for stopAudio (=reset without playing), a loop button (means: not only looping true/false) and the possibility to change the value of the progress bar. Is that possible at all in native html5?
    Best regards, Peter
    (please excuse if my english is misleading!)
    I tried this until now (and it works), but there is neither a stopButton, a loopButton nor a progressBar (with the possibility the change the value)in the code:
    <!doctype html>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8">
    <title>HTML5 Audio</title>
    <script type="text/javascript">
                        function playAudio()
                                  document.getElementById ("player").play();
                                  document.getElementById ("pausebutton").style.display = "";
                                  document.getElementById ("playbutton").style.display = "none";
                        function pauseAudio()
                                  document.getElementById ("player").pause();
                                  document.getElementById ("playbutton").style.display = "";
                                  document.getElementById ("pausebutton").style.display = "none";
                        function progressBar ()
                                  timeCurrent = document.getElementById("player").currentTime;
                                  timeTotal = document.getElementById("player").duration;
                                  percent = timeCurrent / timeTotal;
                                  progressBarWidth = percent * 128;
                                  document.getElementById("bar").style.width =  progressBarWidth + "px";
    </script>
    </head>
    <body>
    <audio id="player" onTimeUpdate="progressBar()">
              <source src="audio01.mp3" type="audio/mp3"></source>
    </audio>
    <img src="play.png" onClick="playAudio()" id="playbutton"/>
    <img src="pause.png" onClick="pauseAudio()" id="pausebutton" style="display: none"/>
    <div style="width: 128px; height: 7px; background-color: blue;" id="bar"></div>

  • Limitations/issues v.2 Adobe Content Viewer on Ipad 1 (not tested on 2)

    Update on 23-Feb-2012
    There a a few problems/limitations I'm running into with the Adobe Content Viewer for Ipad 1 (not tested on 2), like:
    Autoplaying more than 1 multiple-state is impossible. Only the object in the highest place in the layers is visible (like having pulsing navigation arrows and a fade in text) -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5
    Autoplay of an multistate object with 'stop at last frame' does not work. It just fades the entire multistate object out, instead of holding. -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5.
    Cropping Images (changing the objectbox) in indesign, becomes skewed (or squashed) like the image just gets pushed in the new objectbox size.
    Buttons with a click image/appearence become invisible in a multistate object. -works perfectly in de windows Adobe Content Viewer with Indesign 5.5.
    The viewer on the ipad will crash on a navto://NameOfPage#PageNumberOtherThenTheFirst, if that page where it directs to has a slideshow. this happens 90% of the time.
    Some ideas for change
    Not allowing an Overlay (which is larger than the page itself) on a page depth of 1, on top of a page with depth 0. Seeing content of the page below the currentpage seems quite unuseful.
    Allow multistate objects to autoplay within another multistate object (thus allowing like a: menu catagorie wich can call an autoplaying slideshow)
    Zooming in on an image without first having to tap on it to enable zooming.
    Updating content button.
    Hitting the update button in Indesign cs5.5 (windows) doesn't update all changed content.
    Hitting download update in de Adobe Content Viewer (Ipad 1) doesn't change all changed content. Archive and redownload nessesary.
    We would love to see the top issues working.

    Navto:// crashes to non preloaded pages with slideshow:
    Additional information/ text examples:
                    - Say we are on page 2. depth 2:  and you link to page 4 with depth 1 (not 0/first) (which has a slideshow on that page) This results in a crash.
                    - Linking to pages with depth 0 (and have slideshows, works.
                    - Say we are on Page 2, depth 3 and link to Page 3 depth 2 with a slideshow, works.
                    - Linking to all next to pages and top pages with slideshows, works.

  • Adobe Content Viewer for iPad rejected?

    Has the new version of the Adobe Content Viewer for iPad been rejected for the Apple App store? We've been told the updated App version would be alive in the Apple App store by last week, the latest. What's really going on?
    Customers have paid good money to Adobe to enjoy this products. Does Adobe has a Plan B in case the updated version doesn't pass the Apple filter? Maybe an update of the Folio Builder that supports the current 1.7 App untill Apple finally decides to release the new version?
    Unfortunatelly, we need that App working to test and share those publications with our clients. The answer "this matter is in Apple hands" is not acceptable.
    Adobe is a serious company.
    We deserve a serious answer.

    Apple hasn't rejected the viewer. They're just taking a longer time than usual for whatever reason.
    The current version of the iPad viewer works with the 1.0.x version of the tools. If you need to view folios on the iPad, you can uninstall the 1.1.x tools and install the 1.0.x tools (or use the v11 tools from prerelease). Or, if you're a paying customer, you can use the Viewer Builder to create a custom viewer that lets you preview content on the iPad.

  • Problem with Adobe Content Viewer for ipad

    Hello,
    I created an application from folio bulider 1.350 gigabytes.
    Once downloaded using Adobe  Content Viewer on Ipad i can display it without any problems, but when I turn off the Ipad or delete Adobe Content Viewer by applications running in the background, and I open again Adobe Content Viewer that I get stuck and does not open.
    Adobe Content Viewer I see in the background but does not stay open and do not show my application.
    Should I delete the Adobe Content Viewer from iPad, download it again from the App Store and re-download my application.
    It could be a problem of size? 1.350 gigabytes is too much?
    It could be a problem version of indesign? I use version 5.0
    Thanks and looking answers ...

  • Acrobat Content Viewer 2.1 Mac

    Hi everybody!
    I have a doubt regarding the utilization of the desktop viewer for Mac "Acrobat Content Viewer" (updated to the version 2.1.0 with the last couple of patches  DigitalPublishing-Tools and FolioPanel).
    What happens is that I launch it and it is ok until I drag&drop one single .folio file but I am not able to load the entire publication which is composed of several .folio files because if I select multiple .folio files the "Acrobat Content Viewer" does not accept them!
    What I was expecting was that by drag&drop the .zip file that I had downloaded after publishing and exporting from my DPS dashboard I could be able to preview it on my Mac desktop with the "Acrobat Content Viewer" instead it seems it does not work, so the question is: do I have a wrong version of "Acrobat Content Viewer" or it simply is not a feature to preview an entire publication on my desktop?
    Thanks!

    I've never known this to be a feature in the Desktop Content Viewer. It will view a single .folio file. Some publishing systems will combine all of your folio files into a single folio file so it could be viewed that way.
    Someone feel free to correct me if they know otherwise.

  • Can't log in Adobe Content Viewer on iPad only

    Hello,
    We made a folio and shared it with a client via digitalpublishing.acrobat.com.
    The client created an Adobe ID, received an email from adobe and clicked on the link to check the validity of the email address.
    He accepted the conditions on the Adobe site.
    On an iPad, he can't connect to the Adobe Content Viewer.
    But... it works very well on an Android tablet.
    I asked the client to go to digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and accept the conditions, but it still does not work.
    How can I solve this problem?
    Adobe Content Viewer serves as our showcase for potential new customers that we are capable of doing. If I can't show it... I can't get new customers.
    TIA.
    Olivier - Concerto

    I asked my client to create an account here: <https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/CreateAccount.html>

  • Content viewer app ipad space usage

    I am using the Adobe Content Viewer app on the iPad for DPS. The four apps/folios I have downloaded in the viewer are 7mb, 195mb, 634mb and 486mb (1.2GB). But when I go to my iPad Settings/Usage it says the content viewer app is using 6.5GB in total. Does anybody know why or how to clear the content viewer cache etc?

    On a computer, sign in to http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and follow the prompts to verify your email account with DPS. You should then be able to sign in.
