Acrobat CS6 won't update
I get the following message.
"The update couldnot be applied because the Adobe Acrobat application contents were modified since the original installation."
Yes, I've installed a major plug-in I use all the time--Enfocus Pitstop. I'm presently at version 10.1.1 of Acrobat. And, I'm on a Mac.

One of two things:
1. Go to the Terminal App and type the word "sudo" and hit the Enter/Return key. If it comes back with a permissions error then seek from Apple to correct it.
2. If there is no permissions error in the Terminal app then go to the installation log at "/var/log/install.log" or "/private/var/log/install.log". Open it up and see if you find an error about failing to write to the file:
./postinstall: Error in converting the plist /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist to xml1 format
If you get the error above then delete the file at the location and try updating again -
Photoshop CS6 won't update to support Retina MBP?
I've tried everything and it still won't update, I've tried manually installing the lastest updates, and I have also tried looking for updates in the CreativeCloud app. Nothing works.
I don't mean to pry, but what version are you actually running? Do you have a Creative Cloud subscription? Did you convert from a perpetual license to a Creative Cloud subscription, and if so, when?
If you have a Creative Cloud subscription, why are you trying to run Photoshop CS6 instead of Photoshop CC?
There are cases where if you were once running a perpetually-licensed version, you have to uninstall Photoshop, then install it from the Creative Cloud application to get the latest CC release. I have no idea whether you can still install Photoshop CS6 from the Creative Cloud application. Perhaps someone with recent experience will be willing to chime in on that.

Adobe Acrobat CS6 won't create documents from my scanner
I am using Windows Vista 64-bit based Adobe Acrobat software from my CS 6 Creative Suite.
I can view pdf documents using Acrobat CS6 Pro but I cannot seem to create a pdf from my scanner as I have in the past with older Acrobat versions.
The scanned document appears and then Acrobat shuts down without any reccommendations.

Hi I'm running an installation of CC and CS6, and whilst CC App Mangler – sorry – Manager shows an update available for DW CS6, it refuses to install.

I have no issues with other apps, just DW CS6.
CS6 still runs, and works fine, but I keep getting the above error, and an annoying notificiation in CC App Manager that I have an update to install.

Photoshop CS6 won't update camera raw 7.1
I selected "Edit in Photoshop CS6" on a photo in Lightroom, and it told me I needed to update Camera Raw in Photoshop. Being unable to update directly from Photoshop, I downloaded the update from Adobe. Upon running the installer (as an administrator) I am told to "Please contact your Administrator if you wish to apply updates on your machine. Updates have been suppressed by the Administrater." As the dialogue then suggests, I am now contacting customer support (sort of).

Illustrator CS6 won't update.......
I've tried several times to get an answer to this, but no one will answer.
I get an error message saying: "Error log file location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers".
In discussions area, the question doesn't even show up. Maybe this time it will?

On to the issue, do you happen to have the error code? From the info you've provided, it seems like something is wrong is the installer.
We'd recommend you to manually download and install the update: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=27&platform=Windows

Acrobat 9 won't update in Windows 8.1
I can't get the automatic updates to work on Acrobat. It has been suggested elsewhere to manually update but I have started this and found it too time consuming as there are 24 different updates between 9.0 and the latest version.
The automatic update system is saying there are no updates available, but I know there are because they are installing if done manually.
Before it started saying no updates available it was saying 'problems connecting to server', but that was changed by turning off a wifi direct virtual adapter in device manager. I would be grateful for help!Hi loughgill,
Acrobat 9 might have compatibility issues with Windows 8.
Try changing the compatibility of Acrobat to Windows Xp and then check. -

My question is this: since I'm new to Mac, should I download the update and install it to my existing instance of AE and it will allow AE CS6 to run as normal? And the way to install the update is simply to double-click the .dmg?

WARNING: Premiere CS6 won't load past "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost" after QT 7.7.3 update
Just what the subject line says, Premiere CS6 won't load up past the splash screen and "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost" after I updated to QT 7.7.3 (Win7). No other updates done, my CS6 is up to date. I reverted back to 7.6 and problem went away. Just an little word of warning to those who see the update pop up.
If you run into the problem, here's the link to download 7.6. You will have to uninstall 7.7.3 then instal 7.6.

1) Uninstalled Quicktime version 7.7.5
2) Installed Quickitme version 7.6
3) rebooted my machine
4) SUCCESS-> launched Premiere Elements 11 without issue
