Acrobat Cuts Off Bottom Of pdf When Printing

I'm trying to create a printable form for a web page. I originally created the form in Photoshop 7, then used Acrobat 7 Pro to convert it to a pdf for downloading/printing. The problem is that Acrobat cuts off the bottom of the page when you attempt to print it. Here is a screen shot of the print dialog window. The "grayed out" area indicates the parts being cut off. The main problem is the bottom margin.  I've tried cropping margins in Document > Crop Pages, but that seems to have no effect. Changing the dimensions in Photoshop and then re-creating the pdf has no effect, either. How can I fix the formatting so it will print correctly?
-Tnx

Do you mean Page Scaling select in the Print dialog box, ie; "Fit to Printer Margins"?

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro do not open when printing a pdf document, instead I open it with Adobe Reader X to be able to print.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi Edna,
It sounds like Adobe Reader X is your default PDF file handler. Launch Adobe Reader X.  Choose Edit > Preferences > General.  Click the 'Select Default PDF Handler' button at the bottom and choose Acrobat 9 from the drop-down menu.  Click Apply, then OK.
Restart your computer.  Acrobat 9 should now be your default PDF file handler again.

  • My Deskjet 1000 J110 series is cutting off bottom parts of sentences?

My Deskjet 1000 J110 series is cutting off bottom parts of sentences. I have not had this problem in the past. It only does it to a few sentences & my headers.
What could be causing this and what can I do about it?

    Hi IlianaGrace96,
There are several things that can cause your problem.  I would start by reviewing the following HP Consumer Support document:
Fixing Ink Streaks, Faded Prints, and Other Common Print Quality Problems
    1. Perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back.  Leave it out for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
    2. Use the automated tool to align the cartridges.
    3. Use the automated tool to clean the cartridges.
    4. Manually clean the cartridges with a lint free cloth and water.
    5. Try soaking your printheads in semi warm water for about 5 minutes.
    I hope this helps.

  • HP Deskjet 5740 Color Inkjet Printer cutting off bottom half of letters when printing text

My Printer is cutting off the bottom half of letters when printing documents.  I have tried all the troubleshooting options given on the computer and have changed out the ink cartriges as well.  I am hoping SOMEONE might have a solution to share. Thanks in advance!!!

I have a user experiencing the same issue.  We have removed the drivers and reinstalled them but the problem persists.  Steps we have tried.... Completely uninstalled all the HP software and printer driversRebootedReinstalled drivers and printer softwareI have verified the printer has the latest firmware. It doesn't matter what program we are printing from, approximately the bottom 4th to 3rd of the photo is cut off.  I do have examples I can send that show the problem.   Our organization buys a lot of printers and it would suck to have to start ordering from a different vendor for future buys.  But if HP cannot fix this issue, we'll have to switch to another brand.  Since we cannot attach in here I have uploaded the examples.  The first is an XPS printout from a word 2013 document.  When it's printed it comes out as shown in the scan.pdf file.  (We printed it and then scanned the printout to a PDF).  It is pretty clear that the bottom of the picture is cut off. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. Brian

  • Why does Large text in a Form get cut off at the top when I save it as a PDF

Hi. I've created a form in Acrobat with 2 text fields. I set the size to 40pt and 30pts using Helvetica. When I fill out the form and save-as a PDF the text displays as cut off at the top.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Making the text fields MUCH larger than the font.
Changing fonts. I've tried Helvetica, Verdana, Arial
    Selecting Multi-line
Does anyone know how I can keep it from cutting off? The only solution I've been able to find thus far is reducing the font size significantly, which is not an option.
    THANKS!

I'm using Acrbat Pro version 10.1.4
The text looks perfect in Acrobat. I'm choosing File > Save As from Acrobat and then when I open it with Preview or Reader it cut's off the text.
    Thanks for your help.

  • HP PSC 2355 all-in-one printer cuts off bottoms of letters

My HP PSC 2355 All-In-One Printer cuts off the bottoms of letters. Photos are fine. 3rd HP black cartrige, got worse today.
     On a Mac, 10.9.3.

    Hi @timed
I would like to help you with your 2355 printer. A printer reset can initiate an alignment. Please use the following document to troubleshoot the issue, and let me know the outcome of your efforts; Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems with the Diagnostic Page.
If the issue remains unresolved after following all of the steps in the link above, I recommend contacting HP.
Don't hesitate to call, although the printer may be out of warranty, the cartridges could be in warranty; therefore, there wouldn't likely be a fee for the phone support. HP will, at HP's option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price.
They could even determine after troubleshooting that it is a problem with the printer, in which case they may offer you a discount on a newer model.
The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each product. The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.
    I hope this helps.

  • Borderless printing cutting off bottom

I have been printing borderless 5x7 prints in PSE8 forever.  All of the sudden yesterday, it started cutting off the bottom of the print.  It still prints borderless on top and the sides, just not the bottom.  I know for a fact it is not the printer.  I am not sure if there is some setting that has accidentally gotten changed or what......any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Suggest that you reset preferences. It may fix it:
Preference settings control how Photoshop Elements displays images, cursors, and transparencies, saves files, uses plug‑ins and scratch disks, and so on. If the application exhibits unexpected behavior, the preferences file may be damaged. You can restore all preferences to their defaults.
Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift immediately after Photoshop Elements begins launching. Click Yes to delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements settings file.
A new preferences file is created the next time you start Photoshop Elements. For information on a specific preference option, search for the preference name in Help.
    Close the program and reopen.

  • Acrobat 10.1.5 extra graphics when printing to pdf

When printing from MS Project to Acrobat, I get extra lines(thin blue/purple, see attached image) on the last half of the document. It looks fine in my coworkers, she is running Acrobat 9 though. Any thoughts?

Starting with the image itself, what kind is it? Where is it located, locally or on a network? How is it inserted in the FM file, i.e.  by reference or as an OLE object?
Is this a single file or a book with multiple chapters? If it's multiple chapters, does the graphic behave correctly when PDFing the individual chapter? Are there other images of the same type and location that do print correctly?
Can you confirm whether either or both systems have had the MS hotfix 952909 applied:

  • HP2540 Inkjet - Cutting Off Bottom Half Of Text

Just purchased a new HP2540 Inkjet and finished the set up.  Whatever I print, including the diagnostic report, the bottom half of the text on every few lines has been cut off.  Gone through all the diagnostic checks, but still cuts off the bottom half over third sentence.  Ridiculous.  Any suggestions out there?

  • Adobe Pro X - cutting off bottom and sides of document

    Hi.
I had to convert a word doc to a PDF (I managed that)
I then had to put a video in the PDF - so I installed Acrobat Pro X to do this
However, since getting Acrobat Pro X, the bottom and sides of the document have been cut off, and there's a white border along the bottom and right hand side.
I can't uninstall Pro as I need to put videos into the PDF, but I can't submit PDFs with the bottoms and sides cut off either.
Please please can somebody help me?
    Thanks so much

Go back to the original WORD document and convert to PDF using either the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker (Adobe menu item in WORD). If that solves the problem you are fine. If not, then give us details on how you did the conversion.

  • How do i get rid of a 1/2 inch margin on a pdf when printing?

I have a pdf file that i need to print. it is 8.5x14. i have changed all of  the settings i can possibly think of but every time i print the file i am left with a 1/2 inch margin on the left side. even when i shift the document over, the actual document gets shifted but because of the margin, the words get cut off. all i want to do is print the document exactly how i view it but every time i try to i am left with a white border on the left side (and a small one on the bottom too). PLEASE HELP!
    thanks
    Kristina

    Try one of two things:
    1) Print with the scaling set to none.
    2) Use the crop tool.

  • Scanning cuts off bottom 1/2"

I have an HP OfficeJet 7410 All-in-One. When I scan an 8.5' x 11" page, using the Automatic Document Feeder, it cuts off the bottom 1/2", no matter what program I use to control the scan (the latest versions of HP ScanPro and Adobe Acrobat). If I don't use the ADF, but scan from the glass, I get the whole page. And if I scan a legal-sized page (8.5" x 14") it does not cut off anything on the bottom.
So, just to experiment, I plugged the OfficeJet into a PC and scanned the same 8.5" x 11" document using the ADF. It did not cut off the bottom. So the problem doesn't seem to be the scanner, or the scanning software. It definitely seems to be that somewhere in OS X, it's cutting off the bottom.
My workaround is to place the 8.5" x 11" pages to be scanned into clear plastic document sleeves. Each is 11.5" long, and when I use these, I get a scan of the entire document.
Is there some way I can get the MBP to scan an entire 11" page without my having to place each one in a plastic sleeve?

    Hi Roger,
Just want to clarify some of the above.
And if I scan a legal-sized page (8.5" x 14") it does not cut off anything on the bottom.
From the Auto Feeder legal size works? Or did you mean manually placing a legal size sheet on the glass?
So the problem doesn't seem to be the scanner, or the scanning software.
It could still be the software. The OS X software isn't a direct copy of the Windows software. It has to be ported, which gives plenty of opportunity for errors in one version that doesn't exist in the other. I've noticed with other HP products that the Mac software almost always has flaws the Windows counterpart doesn't.
My workaround is to place the 8.5" x 11" pages to be scanned into clear plastic document sleeves.
Scanned via the Auto Feeder or manually on the glass?

  • Ordered prints. Several were cut off at edges or were printed off center. How do I prevent this in the future?

Ordered prints from my Mac library to Apple. Several came back cut off or printed off-center. How do I prevent this in the future?

How do I prevent this in the future?
Before ordering any print product proof it by creating a PDF file of it according to this Apple document:    iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture.  Save the PDF file to compare with the printed copy when it arrives.
For this book contact Apple via the 800-275-2273 phone number. Apple has been very good a correcting problems.  They gave me a refund so I could order again.
