Acrobat DC and XI different Output preview; same setting on the same machine
Hello,
I've got an question regarding Output preview
My sample PDF does have different output preview values on Acrobat DC (100% Black) and Acrobat XI (CMYK values)
Both use the same setting (Euroscale Coated v2), doc has no PDF/X output intent
Still..... it's strange that on one Mac the PDF does look different....
What's going wrong?

Numerous fixes went into color display on MacOS for Acrobat DC as well as in Output Preview in general. That having been said, I don't recall any changes that would have resulted in the phenomena you are seeing.
I assume you were clicking on the “black” circle to get you sample color values? And what do you believe should be the correct values? CMYK=(0,0,0,1) or CMYK=(0.8,0.64,0.67,0.75)?
If you can post a copy of this file, we can examine it to see what is going on.

Sophie, Yes, you can use the capability to "sync selected playlists," and simply choose different playlists for each iPod.
When an iPod is connected, iTunes recognizes which one it is, and will sync according to the selections for that iPod, so it is easy to have different content on two (or more) iPods.

Hi There!
Sorry for what may be a stupid question but I really have no clue when it comes to Apple TV's!
It is my boyfriends birthday coming up and I would love to get him an Apple TV for his gift. The problem I have is that he lives at home and his Dad already has a whole entertainment system thing going on in the lounge with the full works, including an apple TV which he controls from his ipad.
If I was to get my boyfriend his own ATV for his bedroom, would this mean he could watch seperate content to his dad in the lounge? Can they be controlled seperately?
As an additional qs, he doesnt have an iPad but has an iPhone - this is ok to use with it isnt it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks!Absolutely. During setup each AppleTV can be named differently (Bedroom ATV, Living Room ATV, AppleTV, etc). and then you have the option of password protecting it so you have some control over access.
The iPhone has an app called Remote - and it works awesome. I've never used the iPad but my iPhone is a great replacement for that stick of gum they call a remote that comes with the ATV. It's a free app written by Apple... easy to find and braindead easy to use. It even gives you a touchpad like area to quickly scroll and select items on screen.
The only thing that could be a deal breaker is wifi signal quality and wifi speed in his bedroom. If he can stream to other devices in his bedroom - the ATV will work perfectly. -
Will USB-6008 DAQ be able to power and record voltage for UMS T5 tensiometer at the same time?
I would like to use my NI USB-6008 to provide power to my UMS T5 tensiometer (http://www.ums-muc.de/en/products/tensiometer/t5.html) as well as take readings from it, but I don't know if this is possible to do properly. The supply voltage for the instrument can be as low as 5V, which I can easily get from the dedicated +5V channel. I am able to power the instrument and connect it to an analog input on the 6008 and measure a voltage in differential mode. However, while reading the support literature for the instrument, I find the following:
"Potential data acquisition pitfalls: Because the pressure transducer is configured in a Wheatstone full bridge, the input voltage and signal mV output cannot be connected to the same reference (ground). Hence, the signal mV output can only be measured using a differential voltage measurement. Therefore, do not attempt to make a single-ended measurement of the pressure transducer mV output." My understanding is that the 6008 can take a differential measurement if I attach the signal "+" and signal "-" to the positive and negative analog input terminals. However, it seems that all of the Ground ports on the 6008 are grounded to the same reference, which would make my voltage measurement invalid according to the paragraph above. So my real questions is: if I attempt to record the voltage using one of the analog inputs on the 6008 in this way, is the measurement valid? Or do I need to find a separate power supply with a different reference ground to ensure that the measurement is accurate?The specification sheet for that device is very poor. The manual is not much better. Companies which want to sell scientific equipment should publish decent data sheets or get out of business.
In section 3.4.3 General requirements the device is described as a "non-amplified bridge circuit." This information along with the bridge impedance should be in the specifications because it is essential to applying the device under any circumstances other than the nominal behavior at 10.6 V.
The answer to your question is this:
You can use it with the USB-6008. The 5 V power supply will result in output voltages slightly less than half (5/10.6) the voltages specified under nominal conditions. You can use the differential input mode on the USB-6008. The absolute input voltages will be about 2.5 V with the 5 V supply. That voltage is within the working range of the device. The differences will probably be less than 100 mV. The resolution of the USB-6008 on the +/-1 V range is about 0.5 mV so your pressure resolution will be around 1 % of full scale. The input impedance and termination voltage of the USB-6008 will introduce some errors. These may be on the order of 5-10%. I cannot predict much better without the missing bridge impedance specification. Those errors should be systematic and relatively constant. A calibration of the whole system - sensor and DAQ device together should allow you to compensate for much of that error.

With Acrobat 6.0 I was able to copy a stamp in the same position (I mean "exactly" the same one) of different pages just by using the "copy/past" tool.
Now I am using Acrobat XI and it seems like it is not possible anymore: I am copying a stamp and I am trying to past it in anoter page, but it appears in the center of the page (or wherever it wants to...).
Does anyone have a solution?

Overprint Preview and Workspace are set to the same, but look different
I'm working for something to be viewed on a screen, so I work in the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (Edit > Color Setting > Working Spaces - RGB: sRGB IEC61966-2.1 ). I have set the Overprint Preview to the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as well (View > Proof Setup > Device to simulate : sRGB IEC61966-2.1). But when I tick Overprint Preview the colors look completly different. Why?
Thanks, AndiMaybe you are right and it doesn't make much sense to use the Overprint Preview in this case. I think what happens is, when you tick Overprint Preview, ID converts from your actual RGB-Color Space to a set CMYK-Color Space and back to the old RGB-Color Space (if set to the same one). On it's way the colors change through it's conversion from RGB to CMYK and back to RGB. That could explain it.

How to display or generate PDF417 barcode dynamically in PDF form? I am using Acrobat XI Professional and there is a Bar Code Field in the same through which I generated the same. But I want to generate the same dynamically.
What do you mean by dynamically? When yo set up a 2D bar code field you specify which field name/value pairs you want to include, along with other parameters. But be aware that they won't work with Reader unless you Reader-enable the document with LiveCycle Reader Extensions and include the bar code usage right. It will work with Acrobat Standard/Pro.

I bought an iPad and want to make sure it's on the same apple account but my phone always come up with a different apple Id?
Remember - if you bought any apps with another ID you cannot update them with a different ID.
Try changing the ID in the App Store. Tap on Featured - swipe to the bottom of the screen - tap on the ID in the bottom left corner - and see if you can change it that way.
If that doesn't work, sign out of your account altogether, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
I guess I should ask - what ID is it coming up with and why is it coming up with that ID?

I have three different computer with three different libraries, but all are under the same sign on and password. Can I sync the libraries somehow and get all my music and movies on each computer?
Can you just create a new "Playlist", name it Bob Seger and drag what you want into the Playlist.

Why does mountain lion "bunch up" all my microsoft office documents that I have open when I hit f3? When I had snow leopard for example, if i had 4 or 5 different microsoft office documents open at the same time I could hit f3 and easily pick one of them.
Notice how in the photo, I can't identify which MS office document I would like to switch too. Perhaps since the Dashboard and Desktop windows are at the top of my screen now Apple doesn't let you have all the applications take up the full screen and be sized individually so that you can have a better idea on what to pick.
I like the idea of grouping to an extent... If you have a bunch of random things it was hard for me to decifer between what was safari, chrome, or word. But now that they grouped them like this, if you have multiple pages of one program running, you can't switch between those pages easily like before.If I wanted to open any of my Applework documents I had to open them one at a time and resave them with pages. This could take weeks.I have 1000s of apple work documents.
You don't have to open and re-save every AppleWorks document you have right now. Just wait till you need one, then do it. The documents aren't going anywhere.
Am I dealing with Microsoft? This was a BIG surprise to me that Apple would release an OS without testing all programs.
Frankly, it is not Apple's responsibility to ensure compatibiltiy with every piece of software available for OS X. That is the responsibility of the software vendor. Lion has been available to developers for several months before it's release, so Microtek had plenty of time to update their software. Yet they did not. How is that Apple's fault? I think Apple was very generous to give you a refund for Lion.
I'm not trying to belittle your frustration but I do think your ire is misplaced. -
I have recently purchased some apps from the app store and after downloading them, the icon that appears in the dock changes to a different icon. It is now the same icon appearing on all newly downloaded apps. Does anyone know what is happening here? Even updating an older game app resulted in the original game icon changing to the new identical icon that all new apps are appearing with. This new icon is like a page with a ruler, pencil and paintbrush. Any tips on how to stop this or how to revert to the icon as it appears on the app store would be appreciated.

If I already have a particular app under one apple Id and I purchase the same app under a different Id for the same device, will it overwrite or replace the previous or will I have two of the same app on the same device??
I'm asking because I purchased an app with an id that has been cancelled so I cannot update that particular app. I can purchase the app with my new id but I don't want to do so if its going to erase all the data I have with the previous purchase...Figured it out. Thanks.
