Acrobat DC doesn't see scanner

I scan pretty regularly in Acrobat, but since upgrading to the latest version it does not see my scanner. Anyone have any ideas? I really need this to work, and right now it does not. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Could you please tell whether it is something to do with Twain Drivers of your scanner ?
If yes ,then I would like to inform that is a known issue in Acrobat DC .You could refer the following link for the same.

Or if it is something else then you can once try to remove the scanner and install it back .

Some scanners are not compatible with the 64-bit PSE 12. Epsons have the most problems, unfortunately. There are lots of Epson customers with this problem, but so far I'm not aware of an easy solution.

Acrobat isn't recognizing my scanner

I am using Windows 8.1 x64 and have a Samsung C460FW scanner. I was able to use Acrobat to my scanner without issue. A few weeks ago, I replaced my HDD and re-installed windows. I do not recall if my scanner worked properly after that, as I have spent the past week out of town. I tried using Acrobat to scan a document and Acrobat doesn't recognize my computer as having any scanners. I am able to use my scanner via Window's native scan program. I have installed all of the latest drivers for my scanner and have even tried installing the universal drivers, but Acrobat still doesn't see my scanner. My scanner can be accessed via my network and USB.
Does anyone know how to get my scanner to show in Acrobat?

Just out of curiosity, did it start showing up after you restart your system?

Help! Acrobat XI Pro for MAC doesn't see my HP 4780 scanner.

I know the scanner part of my HP C4780 works, both with Windows Acrobat 9 Pro and with all the other scanning functions on the Macbook Pro.
I don't know what to do. This is one of the major functions I use Acrobat for, and now I can't get it to work.

Hi Barbara - I reinstalled PSE 11 on my iMac and verified that it still works with the Canon 8800F scanner. I also installed PSE 12 on my Macbook Air, moved the Twain plug into the right spot, and found that it doesn't see the scanner either. Preview on the Macbook does see the scanner OK so it's not a connection problem there either.
I noticed that the Twain plugins in PSE 11 and 12 are the same version but different sizes. The get info windows for the two versions of PSE on the iMac (Kahawalu) and the PSE 12 on the Airbook (Niumalu) are below. Would you be able to let me know the PSE 12 Twain file version and file size that is working with your Canon scanner? It might help narrow this thing down.

Acrobat X doesn't recognize my EPSON V700 scanner (Mac OS X 10.7)

Due to the restiction that TWAIN drivers usually don't support 64bit I had given up to see my EPSON V700 appearing in any of the CS5 application. With the recent installation of CS6 i was positively surprised that Photoshop recognizes the scanner. However, Acrobat X doesn't and I would appreciate any tips how to proceed.
My configuration: Intel MacPro (2007) with Mac OS X 10.7 with all latest patches, Adobe CS6

After reading a few other articles in this forum about smilar problems I found the answer myself: While Photoshop uses the ICA driver provided by Apple Acrobat doesn't. Acrobat requires the installation of the drivers and software provided by EPSON. This package can be found on the EPSON web site, but only when searching for drivers for Mac OS X.6 that also run on OS X.7.

PSE 12 for Mac doesn't see my scanner

PSE12 for Mac refused to work with my scanner. In preferences I checked "Additional Plug-Ins Folder" and selected the Optional Plug-Ins Folder which contains the TWAIN.plugin. I restarted the PSE and the File> Import... command remains dimmed out. Tried resstarting the iMac and PSE still doesn't see the scanner. PSE 11 used to recognize the scanner right away. I hope this isn't a permanent change in PSE 12!

Acrobat XI can't see my Brother MFC-6490-CW scanner since installing Windows 8.1

The scanner works fine with Windows Scanner/Fax and other apps but Acrobat can't even see the scanner. The issues seems to be just with Acrobat. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Brother drivers multiple times but the result is the same. I initially had the same issue in Acrobat 9 so I upgraded to XI.

Can you find the scanner in Windows itself (the software that came with the scanner)? Can you find the scanner from some of your graphics packages (IrfanView, PhotoShop, MS products, etc)? You may have to download new drivers for your scanner from the scanner manufacturer. Have you tried to update Acrobat, currently at 11.0.06?

Scanner (Epson Perfection 1670) doesn't *see* document on flatbed

My Epson 1670 just started exhibiting where it scans but doesn't see a document. I took it off the hub and connected directly but no difference. It doesn't appear to be the bulb as I can see light move along as it previews.
All I get is an all white image.
THis scanner has its own power cable. It just worked a few days ago. I'm not sure what I could of installed recently that would cause this.
Any Ideas?

I just purchased a MacBookPro 17" and moved my Epson 1670 optimistically to the new laptop.
I HAVE THE IDENTICAL PROBLEM (a blank/white document as the scanned image)! Epson has been less than useless (so far).
On the Epson website the following (similar, but not exact problem) FAQ is answered. I cannot understand what they mean. Does anyone have any understanding or, better yet, a solution to this problem.

PS CS5 not seeing scanner in File Import

I've upgraded from CS3 to CS5 and PS doesn't see my scanner in File > Import.
I looked in the CS3 PS Import/Export folder and see a TWAIN.plugin, but don't see one in the CS5 PS Import-Export folder.
Should I copy the TWAIN.plugin into the CS5 folder? Or is interacting with scanners handled differently in CS5 vs CS3?
The scanner is a Canon LIDE 600F, and if I launch CS3 I can scan no problem.

You'll need the TWAIN plug-in for CS5 (moving the old one from CS3 or CS4 is NOT a good idea)

After you install the TWAIN Plug-in, you will likely need to run Photoshop in 32bit mode because most scanners have 32bit TWAIN drivers.

Image Capture can't see scanner

I upgraded to Mountain Lion and while the printer function of my Canon MP 180 is working, the scanner is not working now. Image Capture doesn't see the scanner. Following advice on this forum, I deleted the printer in system preferences > print&scan and the reinstalled it a few times. I also downloaded the 2 available (but old) drivers from Canon. Still nothing works. Can anyone help?

Canon Australia is hosting a scanner driver for 10.8 and MP Navigator v3.0.5 for your MP180. Install the scanner driver first and then MP Navigator.
Note that Canon is not hosting an ICA driver for this model, which is used by Image Capture and Preview. So this would explain the lack of the scanner entry in the KB article that Clinton has mentioned (the vendors make the drivers - Apple just hosts them).

Acrobat X not communicating with scanner.

I recently purchased a Lexmark CX410dte multifuncation printer. When attempting to scan, I get a message that Acrobat cannot communicate with the scanner. The Acrobat settings show the Lexmark TWAIN driver as the selected device. The Lexmark scans in its native software but not in Acrobat X. I spent over an hour with Lexmark in an unsuccessful attempt to resolve the problem. They threw up their hands and said to contact Adobe. I would gladly welcome any suggestions. Also, this is happening on all computers, not just one. All computers are running Windows 7 professional 32 bit except 1 running 64 bit.

I finally figured it out after a few days. The idiot tech support at Lexmark never checked to see if the printer had the updated firmware. It didn't. Once the firmware was updated the printer scans to Adobe. It will not scan, however, unless the native interface is allowed to be visible. It's still somewhat of a pain but at least it works.

The one photo per page layout is the easiest to miss. Just click on a background color to remove the problem.

Migration Assistant problem? : New iMac's iTunes doesn't see the catalog or playlist of my old Mac's songs on an external drive

So I just migrated from a 10.7.5 iMac 27" from 2009 to 10.9.4 on a 2013 27" iMac with Fusion Drive.
I don't use Time Machine. There are no backups involved here.
Used Ethernet. Only took 20 hours... (BTW, it stayed on "less than 1 minute left" for like 12 hours but luckily I was away and just left it going in hopes it would work... and it did!)
Anyway, back on my OLD iMac, I kept all of my songs on an external drive because my internal drive was too small. So iTunes looked at that drive for the music it was playing. I turned that drive off, even disconnected it, during the migration process because I thought it was confusing it during the first attempt which took 10 hours and nothing happened.
So now it worked, finally. On my new iMac, running Mavericks, I now have two user accounts... the one that was set up when I started the computer the first time, and the new one that transferred over via Migration Assistant. No problem. I can live with that. The only thing is, I would still think the old XML files and library stuff would migrate over... but iTunes doesn't see it. When I open up iTunes, in *either* account, iTunes behaves as if it's brand new. Repeat: the old and new account on the new iMac, both, do not see an old iTunes library which IS on the old iMac. Only the music is on the external drive from what I understand.
I've done this before so I know it's possible. I remember upgrading a long time ago and got iTunes to see my old library... even though some of the music was no longer there. It just puts "!" marks wherever there is no link. I was hoping that that's what I would find when I launched iTunes, but no luck. Even connecting the old hard drive to the new Mac (via USB) doesn't make iTunes all of a sudden "see" the old library. That data doesn't seem to be there. It didn't transfer over. Did it not transfer over because the songs weren't on the internal volume? Should I have left my external hard drive on?
So.... now that I've spent almost 3 days total trying to get this to work, and everything is running... I don't want to have to start over in order to get iTunes to work. Is there a way I can just drag over some XML files or something from the old computer? I don't want to lose all of the ratings and personal notes and everything.
I should add also that I have like only four songs I've ever actually bought through iTunes. I'm still a bit old fashioned and buy CDs and rip them to Apple Lossless. So I hope it's not an authorization / reauthorization issue because I have like 1400 albums ripped.

iTunes does not use the .xml it uses the .itl
If you are sure your old library file migrated across (does the file size and modification dates suggest it has?) start iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and guide it to the .itl file to get it to use that one.
