Acrobat DC installation failed
My attempt at installing Acrobat DC failed with the error message below provided. Does anyone have a solution/suggestion
to fix the problem?
Hi,
Can you share more information about the system like Operating System? Also, do you have any previous version of Acrobat installed?
Did you try restarting the machine and then, installing?
If the issue is not fixed, can you please enable logging on the system as per this article How to enable Windows Installer logging and share MSI logs from user temp directory?

Customized Acrobat 11 installer fails on Mac OS 10.8.2
We created a customized installer for Acrobat 11 using the Adobe Customization Wizard for Macintosh. The resulting .pkg installer installed successfully on three Macs (two on 10.8.2 and one on 10.7.5) but the installer fails on the fourth machine, which is running 10.8.2. It appears that Acrobat installs into the Applications folder, but when I try to run it, a prompt pops up to register with an Adobe ID. This shouldn't be happening, given the settings for the installer:
•Accept End User License Agreement
•Disable Registration
•Grant Offline Exception (we have a volume serial number)
The three machines that we ran the installer successfully on have had no problems...Acrobat launches without any request for registration.
The console logs show the following info for the last two times we have tried to run the installer...

Any suggestions what the problem could be or what the fix is? Running the standard installer is not an ideal solution, since we intend to push Acrobat 11 out to over 300 machines.Only the install.log and PDApp.log are present. Output below.

Acrobat x installation failed without any error message
I installed Acrobat X on Window 7 (64-bit) from downloaded files. The installer poped up the installation options up to the typical or custom installation. After clicking "Next", nothing happened. I have already disabled the antivirus software and my Win 7 has the latest updates installed. In addition, I also tried the downloaded trial version of the Acrobat X from Adobe. But nothing happened either after clicking "Next" in the final stage of the installation options. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? Thanks a lot.

Adobe Acrobat DC Installation Failed Error Message
I can't load/install past 43% when I get this error message. I've uninstalled Acrobat XI Pro and rebooted and still get this error message. I've tried loading over several days and still get the error. Any ideas?

Adobe Acrobat X Installation Error
We have many Windows machines with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard installed and running without issue, and they can update just fine. When we try to install the newly purchased Acrobat X Standard on these machines, the installation fails at the very end after creating the PDF printers. We have tried letting the Acrobat X installer remove Acrobat 9, and we have also uninstalled Acrobat 9 manually before attempting the Acrobat X install. We are installing with local admin rights.
The error still occurs, and Acrobat X installation fails with :
Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {C6357C55-7461-3D51-9AE5-FD71CA24027A}.
HRESULT : 00x8007051A.
Then we hit OK, the entire installation rolls back and fails. However, we are able to reinstall the Acrobat 9 Standard without issue.

Acrobat X1 install fails on removing Acrobat 8
I have a custom installer built for Acrobat X1 site licensed that includes removing previous versions of Acrobat and Reader.
It has been working well, but I have run into a problem. The installer fails when Acrobat 8 is installed. If I attempt to manually remove Acrobat 8, the uninstall process prompts me to retunr the e-license. Even after successfully removing Acrobat 8 via add/remove programs, the custom Acrobat X1 installer fails.
I thought e-licensing was discontinued in 2007 - and this machine was installed long after that.
I am not sure what is going on. Any ideas?[28/01/15 15:59:25] Help And Support: Can you please check for existence of file "com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist" at the following locations:
1. /Library/Preferences/
2. ~/Library/Preferences/
This file might be already present on your machine if you have any other version of Acrobat installed. You need to rename this file or move it to some other location and then try installing Acrobat 11 again. Please let us know if you are able to install after following these steps.
It’s only there in /Library/Preferences
I deleted com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist from /Library/Preferences/ with admin privileges
still the installation fails
Any other suggestions.
I also tried installing with an Admin account, still fails! -

Used Akamai NetSession Interface.
Downloaded from Adobe website. After download, clicked on installer, entered serial number, quickly went through installing until right at the end: "THE INSTALLATION FAILED: Installer encountered an error that caused installation to fail. Contact manufacturer." Part of the message cut-off abruptly.
Then, it appeared that the installation did occur but when I opened the software the interface didn't look "smooth." Then almost immediately software update stated Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.04 was available for download, but computer wouldn't allow it to be installed citing error on initial problem. I uninstalled XI Pro and tried to download again from Adobe website but the window instantly opened for Akamai and said download complete. The same problem occured when I tried to install again, with the same error message.Thank you Anish.
The software now appears to be working for some reason, and even though Error 1301 appeared when trying to update to Acrobat 11.0.04, it shows that I am running 11.0.04. There is something going on in there but so far so good.

Acrobat Pro XI fails installation on Mac Pro with Mavericks 10.9.3
I've downloaded the Acrobat Pro XI Trial installation package twice. Each time I run the installer it fails. As the installer proceeds I see the following messages:
Copying Files
Running Scripts
Validating Packages
As soon as the "Validating Packages" message appears it is replaced by a message indicating that the Installation Failed.
In the PDApp.log file I see a number of error messages like the following:

The logs suggests that the Acrobat Licensing component is not able to install properly.
Please try following steps:
1. Go to www.adobe.com
2. Log-in with your Adobe ID and Password.
3. From left panel - choose 'Desktop' under 'Apps'
4. Navigate to Acrobat XI Professional and download trail.

Cant run Acrobat Pro, try to download latest AIR, but installation fails and I can't run Acrobat
I tried to run Acrobat Pro (don't know version as can't open it) and I am told to download latest Adobe AIR, but after downloading the installation fails with Error# 16820, so now I can't run my Acrobat. Anyone know how to break this very annoying loop please?

Installation Failed Acrobat 11 Pro
Tried to install acrobat 11 Pro from AAM. It downloaded and extracted OK but at the 99% mark, Installation Failed. I received the following error message:

I installed Exchange Panel with no issues, so my gut feel is that installation is failing because Acrobat 9 is installed. When I tried to print to PDF using Acrobat 9 Pro, the print failed due to an unknown error and I received the following error log:

If i am getting the scenario correctly , you are trying to install Acrobat 11 on a machine which already have Acrobat 9 on it.
If this is the case then you need to remove the old version of acrobat so that you can install the newer version correctly. Also i would like to make sure that there is no other application(MS Word, MS office,Firefox, IE etc) running at the time of install which use some of the resources needed by the installer.

Repeated efforts to install Acrobat XI in OSX 10.9 fail with Message "The installation failed".
Have tried to install Acrobat XI at least 6-8 times. Always get the message "The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." This, combined with the incredibly high price, is why I get frustrated with Adobe products.
Any help to get this software installed and running ASAP is greatly appreciated.if the uninstaller has been installed, run it. then run the cleaner, http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.
then restart your computer and retry installing.
if that fails, attach a screenshot of the error message.
