Acrobat dc installed without my permission

I implicitly installed a version of Acrobat XI 30 day demo on my machine for testing and evaluation.
Now this Adobe Acrobat DC appears in my CC menu.
I never installed this, as I want to buy the standalone version. Also there is no uninstall, only update
to a program I never wanted........

i am a cc subscriber, but i do not know how it really works.
upgraded from a premieme CS suite.
The DC version is radically different!
I have to unlearn everything i learned.
thanks
Mark

    The lasted update install it self without my permission. You had remind me everyday to install it, but I deny because I need my RoboForm very much, but now it's gone. I need it so badly
    How I do to take it away, because I wanted to wait until RoboForm was accepted in this update.

    I don't see how the Password Exporter extension would work in Firefox 32. The password files were changed as of Firefox 32, and that extension doesn't look like it was updated.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/password-exporter/versions/
    Version 1.2.1
    Released August 29, 2010 - ''Over 4 years since the last update.''
    Works with Firefox 3.0 and later ....
    See if this helps you.
    Type '''about:config''' in the Location Bar and hit Enter.
    Paste this pref in the Search field at the top.
    '''signon.importedFromSqlite'''
    Then double-click that pref to toggle it to false, then restart Firefox.
    Hopefully your Passwords will show again.

  • Why the App can automatically installed without my permission?

    Why the Funshion Online Technologies App can automatically installed on my iPhone which without my permission?

    What good does that link do? That web link tells you how to go back to version 3.6. I just want to go from version 9 back to 8.

  • Hello got installed without my permission

    The Hello app or "Start a Conversation" icon showed up in my Firefox browser tab/interface without my permission. I remember getting an email saying I downloaded Start a Conversation from the app store (itunes) and then as quickly as the email opened, it disappeared without me deleting it. I never downloaded anything like that. When the email disappeared, I thought nothing of it, maybe I pressed delete by accident and thought it was just spam anyway. Today I noticed this icon showed up in my browser without me doing anything. It is a smiley face when I hover says Start a Conversation. Did I get a virus? I'm using a Macbook Pro with Yosemite installed. How do I delete this icon? I removed it from the browser interface using Customize, but I don't know how to delete it.

    The selected solution only removes the button from toolbar, however the code, ports and connection to loop is still open and firefox can be connected using that port, which is a very good backdoor for spying!
    To remove it completely one have to open omni.ja file and remove all the scripts related to loop ("start a conversation" and "share this page") which is impossible to open because its format is not a standard zip and tools to open it does not exists anymore (outdated, removed or not working anymore).
    if there was a good intention of making this stuff, firefox developers could put it as an extension which was possible to enable/disable. I want it removed from my browser and don't want to see this kind of stuff on it again. If a checkbox to enable javascript makes firefox complicated, this one for sure does a hell worst job in complicating problems. JUST REMOVE IT

  • Acrobat XI Install without Optical Drive

    I have purchase Acrobat XI but do not have an optical drive on my new laptop.  Is there a way to install via the serial number that came with the CD?

    Just download XI from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. Please make a backup, though you do have the CD so that is probably not important for you. You can also consider taking the CD to your local library and copying the install files to a memory stick.

  • Adobe Acrobat 6 install without CD

    I dont have my CD and need to install my full version of Adobe Acrobat 6 before I can start to install further updates.
    The installation is on a new computer. All additonal updates is all avilable true my Adobe account.
    What to ?

    There's no need to re-install Acrobat 6 first prior to installing later upgrades.
    Which is the most recent version of Acrobat that you're trying to install?
    Just install the most recent version (e.g. Acrobat X) and enter your upgrade serial number. Then enter the serial number from an earlier qualifying version (e.g. Acrobat 9) when prompted. The installer will then license your Acrobat X installation on that computer.

  • Z 4.6.7.7 is installed without my permission and NONE of your ways of uninstalling it work

    all of the extensions in the program files folder for firefox are EXACTLY the same. all nonsense letters and numbers, and in them are files with the exact same name. it is impossible to tell which one is the one i need to get rid of

    Use the following extension to determine which folder belongs to which extension:
    *'''''Extension List Dumper''''': https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/extension-list-dumper/
    *After install, a new button is added in the upper right of the Add-ons display (''Add-ons > Extensions'').
    **Click that button, a new window will open, <u>be sure that only the "ID" option is checked</u>
    **Scroll down the list to find the Extension name and the ID will be immediately under it.
    **The ID will correspond to the name of the folder in your Profile/extensions folder
    Finding/opening your Profile folder: Click Help > Troubleshooting Information > under "Application Basics" find "Profie Directory" and click "Open Containing Folder" to the right, then click the "extensions" folder.
    *Also see --> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Profiles#w_how-do-i-find-my-profile
    *Also see --> http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox#Finding_the_profile_folder
    If the extension reappears after restarting Firefox and/or you computer, the item is being added by an application that your installed and you will need to determine what needs to be removed from Windows Control Panel

  • "Hello" got installed without my permission. Can "disable" but not uninstall. Why?

    I've been searching the net and can't find any description of how to remove "Hello". I don't allow anything on my computer that can switch on cameras or microphones or wants my contact information.
    Why is this not a plug-in or add-on that people can choose to install or not?

    Firefox Hello is a new feature in Firefox 35 or 36 I believe. You can disable it if you don't use it by going to <b>about:config</b>
    *Search for <i>loop.enabled</i>
    *Set it from <b>true</b> to <b>false</b>
    *Restart Firefox to complete the disabling of Hello.

  • Virus?  Updates installed without asking permission....

    My friend sent me an e-mail yesterday stating:
    *"About 3 days ago I came into my office and my computer said I would need to restart for the updates to .... normaly it won't download an update unless it asks. Since then I am having trouble with the airport signal staying strong enough in my office and the batteriy won't charge unless the computer is turned off ... everything is very, very slow."*
    I know that his computer is near a very strong Netgear Router and normally gets 100% signal strength from his office.
    Can someone help us to know what to do?
    Thanks

    I have no idea what to do or what the diagnosis for this is, but im going to throw out a possible cause?... :P
    Maybe the battery is acting up with the charging issue and causing magnetic distortion of the wireless network?... Improbable, but not impossible
    Im not sure about it being a virus for two reasons, 1. they're kind of hard to find, 2. creating a virus to stop a battery from charging sounds sort of difficult to do and would only affect a very FEW number of people out of the whole computing world
    Thats as much as i can do for you, hope someone can help you soon.

    If you downloaded Flash Player from the standard location http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ then you WILL have the option to decline the bundled install:
    If you download the installer from Mike's link above (which is posted several dozen times in this forum every day), then you will not get any bundled software.

  • How to stop firefox 27.0.1 from installing addon without my permission

    Unless an add-on is being installed silently which it shouldn't be able to, you should be prompted to allow an installation of an add-on.
    Anyhow, you can check for malware on your computer affecting Firefox. Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
    You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
    * [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx Microsoft Safety Scanner]
    * [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware]
    * [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility]
    * [http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/ Hitman Pro]
    * [http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/ ESET Online Scanner]
    [http://windows.microsoft.com/MSE Microsoft Security Essentials] is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

  • Why was McAfee installed without requesting my permission?

    Usually when installing Flash Player, I can uncheck the boxes to ensure I don't get that junk installed, but when installing the latest update today, it installed it without requesting permission or even informing me of it, I didn't agree to McAfee, so why was it forced upon me?

    This horrible behaviour still exist september 3, 2014 !!
    I today got a request to update Flashplayer on my computer, Windows 7 64 bit.
    It downloads a file and executing that DOES NOT GIVE ME ANY OPTION TO AVOID MCAFFEE!!
    I did abort the installation, and I'm very thankfull that I have choosen to be notified of updates for me to install.
    This is very bad, an extra layer of not wanted antivirus software can hurt both system stability and performance.
    I do hope that this is an misstake that is adressed in timely manner for customers and notified to top management.
    Kind regards

  • Growl Installed WITHOUT my knowledge or PERMISSION. Customer Recourse?

    It took me 1/2 hour to find out what the hell growl was;
    Where it was;
    And how to uninstall it.
    So thanks to Adobe I lost 1/2 hour of production.
    What is a Customer's recourse to be compensated for 1/2 hour of time when Adobe software deceptively wrote their installer and placed something on my Hard Drive without my consent?
    http://growl.info/thirdpartyinstallations.php

    Thank you so much that a "community professional" answered my question with "get over it". I will now have my attorney, Dolores Blasnegame of Riverside California, halt her proceedings on the class action suit that I was considering to recover our time loss, emotional cruelty and alienation of adobe's affection.
    SATIRE
    What is a "community professional" You get paid for "it" or something?
    The installer should TELL us what it is installing. The GROWL developers emphatically state:
    "We do not endorse applications installing Growl without your permission. In fact, we hate it. Nothing should ever install anything on your system without your knowledge and your explicit consent."
    So why does adobe cram this on my hard drive? They should cram "it" with walnuts!
    I hope whoever decided to configure this installer to violate adobe customers trust will go to the hot place, fifth pit, turn left, cook!
    Hear this Yashodhan Gokhale
    Violation of customer trust is a death knell. Look at how many angry customers posted to this blog. (And I thought I was annoyed!)

    Too little too late for this user.
    Pssst: Steve... when you left the room, I installed something on your computer without your knowledge or permission.......... Now waste your time figuring out what it is......what is does....... and how to get rid of it. Or will you sit by passively and "get over it".

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 installed but cannot read any PDF file from a Browser window

    I have a new(-ish) PC running Vista and had Adobe Acrobat v9 installed.  However I cannot open PDF files when trying to view from a Browser on a web site.  IE8, Firefox and Chrome all produce the same error that claims I need to install Adobe 8 or 9.  Have searched "Manage add-ons" and found Adobe enabled.  Have hunted around but cannot seem to find a way to fix this.  Any ideas?  This seems so fundamental that it is difficult to believe that (a) it happened in the first place and (b) that there is not an obvious way to fix it!

    Are you on a PC with a profile setup?
    Assuming you are,
    Rename your profile to something like PROFILE.OLD and then relog into the PC.  If the PDF's open without issue, you can remove the Abode folders in the old profile under Documents and Settings\%profile%\Application Data and Local Settings\Application Data.
    Rename the new profile to yet something else like PROFILE.NEWOLD.   Then rename your PROFILE.OLD to its original name.  Confirm that you have removed the above folders from this existing profile.   Perform MIGWIZ I.E. Export files and settings to a folder. Now rename the profiles so that the .NEWOLD is the active profile and run migwiz there - bringing in your old settings.  These steps are only needed if you wish to preserve all the data and settings from your old profile.
    Hope this helps!

  • A config profile deployed on my devices without my permission.

    I believe a config profile deployed on my devices without my permission to access my information. These are consumer only products (iPads and iPhones). Is this legal  and what can i do to remove them?  Profile does not show in settings. I see info via the diagnostics and usage data. I tried wiping all devices but does not remove it. Please help.

    What profile?  Where are you seeing this?  What's it called?  Is your phone enrolled in an MDM server???  If you don't see anything in Settings -> General -> Profiles, then none are installed.
