Acrobat Distributed Form not working

I set up a distributed pdf form on acrobat.com and the submit
button does not work as expected. When I received the test
distribution email, I clicked on the link and was asked if I wanted
to preview or download, I selected download. After filling in the
form, I clicked submit, I was then asked for my email and where I
wanted to save the file. The test submission results did not show
up on the results when I log into acrobat.com.
What am I doing wrong? I watched 45 minutes of tutorials on
adobetv.com and still missed something?
This is disappointing because I had hoped to use this
solution for several clients.

I'm not sure you're doing much wrong, just maybe need to
include a few extra steps.
We don’t display the data in Acrobat.com, only collect
it.
To view it, launch Acrobat and goto Comment-> Track
Reviews-> Forms, and select the form and click on "View
Responses" in the panel on right side.
Acrobat creates a xxx_responses.pdf in the same directory as
form, and you can directly open the this pdf to view responses.

    Before i use securtity i can distribute my forms to any recipients i want.
    Now i wish my clients cannot see my javascript or edit anything in my PDF so i set the security for that. And allow them only to fill in the forms.
    So i enabled the securtiy inside acrobat.
    Now i try to distribute the form and i get all freaking problems.
    Even what settings i try @ changed allow or encrypted settings i cant distrubute anymore. Or sent mail to recipients.
    You know what steve jobs said about flash.
    Proove me wrong adobe.
    Why is there nothing for me to do anymore then complain here?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Digital Signature - is reader extended feature, so it will not work on reader alone without applying proper reader extentions. It is available thru Acrobat or LiveCycle Reader Extensions module.

  • Acrobat 8 form not working when enabled in Reader version 7

    We have a form that was created in version 8 of Acrobat. It was enabled and is not working the same in some of our regional offices as it does in ours. Specifically there is a field that is allowing entry of 7 characters for users in our home office (all using Acrobat 7 or 8) and only 6 characters for users in one of our regions who are using Acrobat Reader version 7. Any idea what setting they have to change or what we have to do to enable the form so it works properly?

    The error message is "Please fill out the following form. You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records". I'm not really sure how to make an older version of pdf, but if we do this, won't the forms created in version 8 not work properly? Right now our IT folks are having the users start Business Tools to open the older forms and Reader 8 to open the new forms. The trouble with this is that the users aren't familiar with opening applications. They typically double click the file they want which is launching Acrobat 8.

    No matter what I do formamker will not work, create from exisitng, tiff , jpg image. I tried repairing installation etc

    The form wizard needs text data to process and not an image. You need to OCR the PDF and then run the wizard.
    Or you manually add the form form fields.

  • Plugin created using C++ 6 and Acrobat 6 SDK Not Working in Windows

    I have an Acrobat plugin compiled in Visual C++ 6 using Acrobat 6 SDK. The plugin works flawlessly in Acrobat versions 6 to 9 in Windows XP. While the plugin is able to add a menu iterm and tool bar icon in Windows 7, it causes Acrobat to hang everytime when activated in which event I have to close Acrobat. Since Visual C++ 6 is a 32 bit app, I have to believe that Acrobat 6 SDK is responsible for the behavior described herein in attempting to get the plugin to work in Windows 7. Any comments or suggestions regarding what Visual C++ version to use along with the appropriate Acrobat SDK to get the plugin to work in Windows 7 are appreciated. In doing so, I would also be interested in knowing what backward compatibility one may expect w/regard to previous versions of Acrobat in updating the plugin to work in Windows 7. As for the answer, correct me if I am wrong but I'm thinking Acrobat 9.

    Adobe hasn't supported Acrobat 6, VC6 or the Acrobat 6 SDK for at least 5 years.  You will need to move to the Acrobat 9 SDK if you wish support.
    And Acrobat 9 and its SDK are fine with Windows 7.

    I am using Acrobat Pro XI not working at all in Windows7 64bit - tried everything. About a month ago I built new computer. Acrobat worked fine. In last week it started not producing PDFs using Save As and would crash when processing scanned document. So I redownloaded exe file, used the acrocleaner to erase existing program, and reloaded Acrobat Pro XI.
    No the program will not start at all. Freezes when opening by clicking PDF file or by opening program icon.

    Please try the following basic troubleshooting steps:
    > Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref :  http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/ )
    > Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )
    > Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
    Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.

    Do you have Acrobat only License no or is it a part of suite. If Acrobat X pro is a part of suite then you need to use the suite setup to install Acrobat.

    Hi all,
    I have two custom tables -- 1) XXX_DIE_Headers
    2) XXX_DIE_LINES
    I developed a Master Detail form based on above tables. XXX_DIE_Headers is the Master Block (Single record) & XXX_DIE_LINES is the detail block ( Multi line block ).
    Yes, I used Appstand,Template.fmb for developing this form. The Master block has three fields out of which Two are required fields and i have given initial value for them.
    As i deployed it in APPS(EBS),everything about it is working fine (insert,delete,master-detail behaviour) except querying.
    When i press F-11 , It pops up a message "Do you want to save changes you have made" Choice - yes,no,cancel.
    I don't want this message to pop up.
    The scenario is :- I open the form.( without entering ) Press F11 . The message Pops up.
    Please give me suggession on how to work it around so as form directly goes to query mode ,without popping the message.

    It seems that you are changing a database value in your form, do you have any changes in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE???
    what the form is trying to tell you that you have changed something, do you want to save it?
    I suggest you debug your form and see what's happening step by step.

    I don't know what you mean by "where and how"; Adobe Reader will automatically present the license agreement to accept the first time you use it.

    Did you ever install Acrobat? It is not installed automatically with CS, but requires an extra installation step.
