Acrobat Fillable Form -Reader Enable Not Working Correctly

I have a form that has been used and modified a number of times that is accessed from an intranet. I am trying to make it Reader enabled, (All user have Reader X installed). I enabled, and infact if I try to Enable Usage Rights I get the error dialog box that says. "This document already has enabled usage rights in Adobe Reader. To remove Reader Enablement, use File > Save a Copy" However, I go to a PC with Reader installed and try to open the file I get the following error in the lavendar bar at the top - "Fill out the following ofr. You cannot save data typed into this form..." So the Reader Enablement isn't carrying over in the form when reviewed from the Intranet .
When I just attach a copy of the form and send it to someone with Reader only it appears with the following error message: "This document enabled extended features in Acrobat Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document." It was sent after I added the enabled fields and was not edited or saved again although it was opened in Acrobat X Pro.
Does anyone have suggestionsn on what miay be the problem? What can I do to solve the problem, etc. Do I need to totally recreate the form? Thanks, Judy

The document got corrupted somehow. When I tried to validate the usage rights it reported an error.
What I would do is start with a fresh copy of the underlying PDF and copy the fields from the current form (not the Reader-enabled version, but a copy that's not Reader-enabled) and create a new form.
I'd urge you to generate a new underlying PDF from the source document and make sure that all of the fonts are embedded. TimesNewRoman (regular, bold, italic) is used an number of times, but not for any visible character, and is not embedded. ArialMT (regular, bold-italic) is also not embedded. If you can remove the TimesNewRoman non-printing things so it's not even included in the PDF, that would be better. Look for things like paragraph markers, blanks, etc., that use it. I'm not sure how it got corrupted, but fonts have been implicated in the past (with respect to Reader-enabled documents at least), so it's best to use only what's needed and to embed all fonts.

Acrobat X - Form Reader Enabled Not working

I have created a form and have distributed it. I have done this many times. The manager asked me to make some changes to the form, so I went back made the modifications.
With Acrobat X Professional, I went through the process to create the distributed and the response file. I then sent out the "new" form. When someone with only Acrobat Reader opens the form, a dialog box opens and says: "This document enabled extended features in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document."
Well, I am the original author. I have not changed the document other than to open the document with READER.
How do I fix? I have reproduced this error multiple times in attempting to re-create the distributed and response files.

After you made the changes did you reenable the form? Why do you need to enable it anyway -- a person can complete the form and submit the data (as well as print the form) without the enabling. In Reader XI, they can even save the completed form with out enabling. The enabling appears to be your problem and you need to ask if it is needed. If you have limited responses, then it is not a license problem. If you expect to receive more than 500 responses, then enabling should not be used due to license restrictions.

Printing "Form Fields Only" not working correctly in Adobe XI

I have a pdf form with fields including check boxes. If I print this form with all fields it prints correctly, but if I select "Form Fields Only" then all check boxes print as checked regardless of whether or not they are checked. When I use this form in earlier versions of Adobe I do not get this problem. Any ideas or solutions?

Also the "PrintParams" properties require version 6 or above of Acrobat/Reader.
One has to review the Acrobat JavaScript API for all sorts of version variations in the way Acrobat's JS object works. And the documention is not always correct.

Acrobat Fillable Form, Client is not able to email. Please Help?

I created a fillable formin Acrobat Professional and sent it to my client. I put a "Submit form" button on the last page and Client says they get a message stating "this function is not permitted".
I've reduced it down to be compatible with version 5.0 but they are still having a problem. Nothing is locked and I set up the form correctly. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

The other option is to allow submission of XML or FDF file data. Without the Reader extensions, someone using Reader can not save the file to send. However, the data can be submitted. E-mail is not very reliable for use with Acrobat or Designer forms. It is best to submit the form data to a web script.

FORMS: Reader Enabled forms are not saving for all users

I have created several fillable forms with both Acrobat Pro 8 & 9. All have been created with Extend Reader Rights In my testing i have success saving the forms in Reader (various versions as old as 7).
After sending the forms out via email the saving functionality is hit and miss for all of our employees. Some can save others cannot. I can't seem to find a common thread as to why this is happening.
All forms are created on a Mac OS X 10.6.1 and then sent out via email to Windows and Mac users about 50/50. Both OS users are having trouble
There is no need to collect the data on a server or anything just trying to make it easier and waste less paper. We don't mind send PDF attachments all the time.

here is one of the forms that is not working in Reader (except on my wife's PC and another Mac) it is the current PDF form i am having trouble with. If we can resolve the issue then it will help me resolve my other forms too. I have made them all using the same process. (Maybe therein lies a problem)
Form Creation Process:
Create initial page layout in Pages (mac app for those that are not familiar)
Export as PDF
Open PDF in Acrobat Pro 9 (started making forms in v8 now i am working in v9 - both have produced this problem)
Run Form wizard, adjust fields, save final version of form
Extend Features in Adobe Reader (via Advanced menu) - Follow steps to save a new Reader Enabled version
Email new RE version to co-workers
All can fill out the form, only a couple can actually save the partially completed / fully completed form for reference, filing, or submission.

Did you ever install Acrobat? It is not installed automatically with CS, but requires an extra installation step.

Share point in server admin not working correctly... I think

I suspect that the share point in server admin is not working correctly. In workgroup manager when I click on a user and then click on the "home" tab, under the full path field I see a file path of:
afp://server.mydomain.com/Users
However if I go to Server Admin -> AFP -> Share Points then click on the Users share and then click on the share point tab below, enable auto mount is disabled. How can this be possible? I thought for a directory to show up in home in workgroup manager it had to be set as an auto mount. Has something possibly corrupted? And what?

Here's a bit more information about our setup and our experiences with Apple's CUPS implementation:
On the server, all printer queues are set up with only lpr and ipp sharing enabled with the PPD setting for each printer set to Generic Postscript. We found that setting the PPD to the printer specific one on the server caused problems when clients tried to use printer specific options, like paper tray selection, etc.. The selection would be undone, apparently because the driver on the server would override the previous settings. Using Generic Postscript allows the client PPD settings to go through unmodified. Our printers are general a mix of HP LaserJets and some Sharp Copiers.
All clients use lpd to the server queues with the printers' actual PPDs configured. Using ipp is superior in that printer feedback (jams, out of toner, etc) makes it back to the clients, but ipp only works when the client, the server, and the printer are on the same network. If the ipp client is not on the same network, the client spooler immediately goes into a paused state and the print job is stuck on the client.
Using lpd to the server queues works reliably, but there is no feedback to the client. Jobs disappear from the client queue and go to the server, appearing to the user as a successful print. If the printer is down, there's nothing they can see or do about it.

Sleep not working correctly

Since updating my Late 2010 iMac to Moutain Lion the sleep function does not work correctly. They system keep waking up for no reason. The monitor comes comes day or night. I cannot figure out a fix or work around. Any ideas?

Please read this whole message before doing anything. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it. Step 1 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.” While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin. Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)? After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it. *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing. Step 2 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. LoginFilter not working correctly

My Login filter is behaving very strangely. Here is the relevant code from the filter.

            return;The problem is we are trying to allow an external application to log into mine. The external application generates a link with an /externalLogin.do as the href. It steps into the above code and the indexOf() correctly finds it and the chain.doFilter is executed. But it never makes it to the externalLoginAction.java.
If I copy the link and put it on my Login.jsp page and click it, it makes it to the chain.doFilter the same but then continues on to the externalLoginAction.java.
So it look like the chain.doFilter is not working correctly if it is not comming from the same context?
Anyone have any ideas?

stupid stupid stupid.
The first url was passing userName and password in the URL the second somehow got changed to userId... so struts was kicking it back.. just changed my struts config to not validate the external login form.

Search do not work correctly!?

Hi! I I am using Search Criteria to search for data in DB. But Search do not work correctly.

I want that, if I add attributes "Type of Genetic Resource" and "Regional Forest District" and enter data, then my search form searches for results that is combinated from these 2 added fields.

In Search Criteria I use Conjunction OR, I I change it to AND then above example works fine when I add 2 fields in advanced search, but then search using "Search in all fields:" DON'T work.

SearchAllFields means that I search in all attributes for given value and show results.

I would like to use the Hallo World depending on the page attribute isFrame with or without all the neccessary html tags. Therefore i have embedded the htmlb tags in an if statement. But for any reason if isframe is initial it isn't working. It would be great if anybody could help me.

The short answer: your example is <b>NOT</b> going to work. The long answer will probably 5 pages to describe. So first let me rewrite the example so that it could work, and then give a short version of the long answer. Do not be disappointed if it is not totally clear. It is rather complicated. (See the nice form of IF statements that are possible since 620.)

So the BSP compiler generates the following code:

You can see that your ENDIF statements are closing IF blocks generated by the BSP compiler. Such a nesting will not work. This is a very short form of the problem, there are a number of variations, and different types of the same problem.
The only way to solve this problem, is probably to put the body into a page fragment and include it like I did above with the duplicate HelloWorld strings. But this duplicates source code. Better is to put body onto a view, that can be processed as required.

** Filtering is not working correctly in ALV (REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY)

Hi Friends,
We have one Z report that output is displayed in ALV. We are using the standard FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.
We have requirement to remove leading zeros for the field like Material Number (MATNR), Equipment Number (EQUNR) etc. We did the changes by applying the field catalog properties as below.
lw_fieldcat-lzero = space.
lw_fieldcat-no_zero = 'X'.
After this, the MATNR and EQUNR is displayed correctly in the ALV. (Leading zeros are suppressed). But, when we do filter for these fields, in the filter window it displays all the values with leading zeros.
1. We don't understand why it is showing in the Filter widow with all leading zeros. All it shows all the records instead of unique items.
Later on, we removed the above fieldcat coding. Then, we have called the CONVERSION_EXIT routines (in the domain) for the fields to remove leading zeros.
Now, the MATNR and EQUNR is displayed correctly (without leading zeros) in ALV. When we do filter, it is also doing filtering correctly. But, when we do filter which have EQUNR having long values (after zero suppression), it is not working correctly. i.e no items are displayed in the ALV.
Not only for this items. If we filter character columns which have long text, it is not filtering correctly.
2. It is not able to understand why the filtering is not working for long items. But in the standard report, the filtering is working correctly.
We are using SAP ECC 6.0.
Friends, can you clarify the about doubts. It is surprising for me.

I agreed on your point. When we define the Internal table the type for element EQUNR & QUMNR , we are referring the SAP data element for EQUNR, QMNUM field.
Our doubt is even though we refer the standard data element, in the ALV display, it shows with leading zeros and also it creates problems in the filtering and in the filter window all values instead of unique nos.

Key Figure calculation in Abap is not working correctly - Overlooping

I wrote a logic to calculate the ratio of key figure but it is not working correctly
For example I have a requirement to split 1 Product into Several new Products and also the Net Amount will be splitted to these several new products as well. The total Amount of the new product will be equivalent to the Net Amount.
So far my Logic is splitting the product to several new products but the amount is incorrect as the calculation is over looping.
Sample
A PRODUCT has Net Amount 1000. And this product needs to be splitted into 3 new products. Each of this new product is assigned a ratio of 0.3, 0.2 and 0.7 respectively. total sum of the ratio is 1.
PRODUCT1 0.3 = 1000 * 0.3 = 300
PRODUCT2 0.2 = 1000 * 0.2 = 200
PRODUCT3 0.7 = 1000 * 0.7 = 700
The total amount of this new products is 1000.
Now my logic is working this way.
PRODUCT1 0.3 = 1000 * 0.3 = 300
PRODUCT2 0.2 = 1000 * 0.2 * 0.3 = 60
PRODUCT3 0.7 = 1000 * 0.2 * 0.3 * 0.7 = 42
Only the PRODUCT1 is working correctly and there is overlooping for the remaining products
