Acrobat installation

I installed Acrobat 7.0 on a new computer. Should I remove the existing Adobe Reader X ? Seems to be duplication of reader.

Well, if you feel like inviting a ton of security risks with manipulated PDFs, then just go ahead and open all your stuff in your old Acrobat 7. No offense, but I was close to getting a heart attack when I read your post. That feels slightly naive and insane. That aside, depending on what you do, you won't be able to view certain PDFs in the fist place like ones with layers and transparencies or interactive content, so for what it's worth: Keep Reader X and also keep it as the default file association for PDFs. only use your legacy Acrobat for files you have full control over and can trust the sources, if at all.

    My surface bit the dust last week and I had to replace it. Downloaded acrobat successfully tot eh surface but then that apparently cut off access to the adobe pro on my home computer.
    How do I get acrobat re-installed without the "you don't have a license" error message.
    I am on a subscription plan

    licensing issue-the system does not recognize that I have a license so I would love to eb able to speak with a real person so they coudl go and look at my purchase and fix the problem.

  • My computer crashed and I lost my Acrobat Installation CD - how can I install it on another PC?

    I cannot locate my Acrobat Installation CD and my laptop where it was installed keeps crashing (Blue Screen) so I want to get it fixed which will require that I will need to reinstall all my software.   • I can't find serial number from previously downloaded Acrobat installation

    I bought the Creative Suite in 2011.
    I am trying to de-authorize one computer and add it to another CPU.
    I logged into Adobe and they only have my subscription for Dreamweaver on file.

    If you have Creative Suite there is no serial number for Acrobat, and you cannot use the downloaded Acrobat installer. You can only install Creative Suite, with the Creative Suite serial number (and not split off separate products).

    I'm trying to install Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on my machine, and downloaded the installer from cloud.adobe.com (I bought a subscription for Acrobat Pro). However, after I download and launch "acrobatpro11_dlm" from the disk image, the app just sits and does nothing (been waiting a few hours now). How can I debug this?

    I just downloaded the latest installer from cloud.amazon.com. Same issue. I tried pressing Command + L after starting the acrobat installer, but I just get a system alert sound (the same sound you would also hear if you click on your desktop background of your Mac, with no files selected, and also type Command + L).
    How can I get a refund for the past month, as I've been completely unable to use Acrobat??

If you do not believe me, I'm looking for stuff from my archive. But this time I would like to have then paid by you. Again, it is known that the version 8 Without the update 8.3, constantly has errors. I used to simply confirmed the update button. Today there is no longer this site. You are obliged to provide me with the update. Or give me a free replacement to the next higher version. Please give me a link to a zip file that contains a setup file.

Dieser Handler war auch auf der Webseite bei Adobe als Handler registriert. Wenn Sie mir nicht glauben, werde ich die Sachen aus meinem Archiv suchen. Diese Zeit möchte ich aber dann von Ihnen bezahlt haben. Nochmals, es ist bekannt, das die Version 8. Ohne das Update 8.3, ständig Fehler hat. Ich habe früher einfach das Update Button bestätigt. Heute gibt es diese Seite nicht mehr. Sie sind dazu verpflichtet, mir das Update zu liefern. Oder liefern Sie mir kostenlosen Ersatz auf die nächste Höhere Version.     How did you purchase? AA8 has not been available for almost 8 yrs or so. The only current version available from Adobe is 11 and you can not upgrade from 7 to 11, but have to buy the full product.
    Updates also require the use of the S/N of the qualifying product (AA7 in your case) to be able to use the newer product. So at this point, it is unclear what you actually have.

    Diese Version reichte für mich vollkommen aus.
    Ich hatte einen Computerabsturz und musste Acrobat auch neu installieren.
    Die Acrobat Version 8.0, ohne Update, stürzt immer ab.
    Das können Sie auch im Internet lesen.
    Jeder weiß das, dass Acrobat Version 8.0, ohne Update abstürzt.
    Es gibt aber dies Update nicht mehr zum Download.
    Ich erwarte jetzt von Adobe, kostenlose Abhilfe.

    I was not trying to imply that you improperly purchased the product, but that the source may have been a rip off and that could be the problem. From what I can see, it appears that you were able to install Acrobat, but can not do the updates. In that case, try the updates from the ftp site. I will have to come back with the address that I do not have on this machine. The html updates are no longer available for some reason, but the ftp site contains all the updates. You do have to install the updates in order in general, though you only have to reboot after the last update. I will change computers and find the ftp link to provide you.

From what I can see, it appears that you were able to install Acrobat, but can not do the updates. In that case, try the updates from the ftp site. I will have to come back with the address that I do not have on this machine. The html updates are no longer available for some reason, but the ftp site contains all the updates. You do have to install the updates in order in general, though you only have to reboot after the last update. I will change computers and find the ftp link to provide you.
