Acrobat is stuck in Trial mode when utilizing Creative cloud.

Thanks for the reply but this didnt help - I use Photoshop and Illustrator all the time so have been launching theses apps numerous times since installing Acrobat.
I still get the trial popup in Acrobat though

I have branched this to a new discussion as this topic is not fully related to problems installing Adobe Creative applications from the Application manager and resolving those issues by removing the trial.
Do you have any other Adobe Creative applications installed besides those which are included with Creative Cloud?  Did you participate in the beta or pre-release program?  Which version of Mac OS exactly are you using?

  • Pages stuck in trial mode when opening file...

    I purchased Pages through the app store after using it as a trial.
    When I open Pages directly and then load a file everything works fine. However, if I open Pages by clicking on a file it opens in trial mode and I cannot save as it tells me it is expired.
    I only see one reference to Pages under my applications and it works fine. If I change the program that opens files, there is only one listing for Pages and selecting it does not change the problem.
    Does anyone know why when opening a file I get stuck in trial mode? Is there another instance of Pages installed somewhere?

    Even experienced users miss this one. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
    Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his iDisk in For_iWork > iWork '09 > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

  • My ipod touch 2nd generation is stuck at recovery mode when I tried to update from a 3 software to a 4 software. I tried puting it in DFU mode to fix it but a window pops up about  the computer found new hardware and needs a cdrom. What do I do?

    My Ipod is stuck at restore mode, when I downloaded fixrecovery and zlib1, they gave me a file which I can't open iBSS.n72ap. Fixrecovery wanted me to put it in DFU mode and I did but a window from my computer pops up telling me that it found new hardware and wants a CDrom to install. The ipod did not come with a CDrom software. It wont go back, and iTunes does not recongnize it. What should I do?

    I would first try removing and reinstalling all the Apple software using:
    Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

    Do you see any option to License this software on the same page. If yes click on it and sign in with your Adobe Id to activate your software.

    You need to know what product you had and have the S/N for the product. If you registered the product you can obtain that information from My Account at Adobe.com.

    hi jeff when installing creative cloud for desktop we have this problem, tried everything but no success on mac osx lion  the message that gives creative cloud for desktop app on installing is this: error code 48, a critical file/directory can't be access
    I had the app but i decided to remove it because i have logged in in other machines, the log in windows told me to close the session on the other machine, i did that, and then started the problems

    Why does my mac keep trying to open my old trial version, instead of Creative cloud?

    A couple clarifying points I wanted to callout when reading over peoples posts here:
    - If you are running a trial version of a product, the 30 day trial affects any other trials which happen to include that same product.
    For example, if you downloaded a trial of Master Collection CS6 which included Photoshop CS6, you couldn't install the trial of Photoshop CS6 by itself and use it for an additional 30 days. Once you've used the 30 day trial up for a product you will be prompted to enter a serial number. This includes the trial of Creative Cloud.
    - In some rare cases the trial will not give you the 30 days, this does not happen very often but it can. Usually the reason that this happens is there is something about the computer in which the trial was installed that prevented the software from installing and delivering the trial period properly, examples would include the system date being set incorrectly, security software preventing necessary registry or file changes, improper user permissions. If for some reason you installed a trial and didn't get your 30 days to try out the product, a good option might be to test out the software on a different computer. If you buy a product directly from Adobe, you can get a full refund within the first 30 days if needed.
    - Different types of Adobe products use different licensing. Products you purchase to own use serial numbers. Subscription products like Creative Cloud Membership license with your Adobe ID and do NOT use serial numbers.
    @Macullen91, I'm sorry to hear Creative Cloud didn't work out for you. I don't know all the details of your situation. When you join Creative Cloud you are billed monthly by credit card and the software does need to check the status of your subscription every 30 days. This should happen silently the background unless it can't connect to the internet. It sounds like you might be looking at a FAQ and documentation regarding buying a product to own versus subscribing to Creative Cloud, as I described Creative Cloud doesn't use serial numbers. If you buy a product to own there is an option to download or be mailed the physical boxed media. If you choose the download option you are sent an email with download instructions and a serial number. I'm sorry no one explained all this to you clearer sooner and your experience was a such a hassle. I'm happy to answer additional questions to if you have any and review whatever documentation you saw that caused the confusion to better understand.

    Has anyone had any problem installing the trial apps on Adobes Creative Cloud? I've been trying to install it but everytime I click on download, the page loads and it says "xx is downloading..." but it's not doing anything. I thought it may be to do with the internet connection and so have tried it at a couple of places now, but it's the same thing. Anyone come across the same problem? I just want to get illustrator and photoshop on my laptop for some work but it seems like the most economically friendly or even only way is through the Creative Cloud....

    Nobody can help you without proper technical information such as system specs and what Internet connection you are actually on. Trivial things like using a different W-LAN can make all the difference.
