Acrobat Print Driver Error/ No Printers available

I'm on Mac OS yosemite.... I don't have the adobe pdf printer available, no printers are available. I can't add anything. When I click print from acrobat pro I get this error Before you can perform print-related tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer.

fixed myself... added a nonworker printer to "fool" the program then changed the system to work....

Satellite L300 PSLB8C: printer driver error - NT 4.0 blocked

I have recently just brought a new Satellite L300 - PSLB8C 04P01X with vista home premium 64bit installed.
I am trying to install a driver for a printer (ML-2010). In the process, I have encountered these two errors:
'the printer driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your computer that blocks NT 4.0 drivers'
I have also tried to install the driver in several other different ways, including updating the driver from the device manager and adding a printer from the control panel. Neither methods I have tried accepted the driver that was in the vista package for the ML-2010.
In addition, I encountered the same errors in the process.

If you search a little bit with Google, you will find a lot of links.
Many people have problems with this printer on Vista 64bit.
I have founded a short review via Google about this printer and found out, that for this printer is no 64bit driver available.
On the manufactures website I also did not find a Vista64 bit driver.
Only for Vista/2008 and XP 64bit.
Sorry but I think this is not possible to use this driver with Vista 64bit but in your case I would contact the manufacture of the printer.

Lexmark printer driver error

Im having issues with connecting my mac to a Lexmark P4350 printer. I connected and it worked for a while and then stopped. Now it consistantly is in pause mode and an error message that its unable to use the legacy class driver.
How can I resolve this? I tried to uninstall the printer driver but I recieved an error message to say this was unssupported. So i deleted all signs of Lexmark on the printer and then reinstalled without success.
Any helpful comments are appreciated!

Photosmart C4480 Printer Driver Errors

I have two problems:
1) Some files with complex images print OK in PDF, but on the C4480 have either a large black box on part of the image, or part of the image duplicated further down the page instead of the correct part
2) I cannot print some characters from MS Word Formulae. These are [ ] { }
Is this a driver error? Is there a fix?

I am very frustrated with my HP printers right now.
1) I have an HP Photosmart C4480 that has new ink and over 20 times has asked me to print alignment page, scan page and then still doesn't work! The ink doesn't print my documents well at all, I can't even read them unless its an alignment page!
2) I have a color HP 8500a and this printer also doesn't work except to eat all my paper and then spits out nothing. I am slammed and my two HP printers are on the brink!!! Why isn't there a phone number where an actual customer service person can be spoken with? I have time lines, am a small company and cant' belive how much I pay for my ink and printers only to have been struggling for weeks. What is up?

Unable to load HP printer driver-Error message!

Just wondering if anyone can be of any assistance.
I recently purchased a HP Photosmart 2575 all-in-one printer and installed the necessary software, which said it was successfully installed. However, whenever I boot up the G3 I keep getting the following message 'Unable to load the printer drive, open the applications Get Info dialog and increase the preferred memory size. If this does not help try quitting all other applications or reinstalling the printer software.'
After clicking ok on this message about four times the message goes and I am able to print fine. Just wondering why this is happening. I have increased the memory allocation and also turnt on the virtual memory to see if this makes any difference, but all to no avail. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled the software to see if this makes a difference, but that didn't help either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: The printer is connected via ethernet on my router to enable me to print from another machine

Use Techtool Lite or Trash*Desktop (TD may delete Finder comments )to rebuild your desktop w/extensions off. Does a better job than manually & you avoid all the finger gymnatics. You just have to hold down the shift key to shut off extensions.
Restart to turn the extensions back on again.

Windows 7 64 bit / Server 2012 R2 GUI - Type 4 Print Driver error "Cannot connect to the Printer" 0x00000002

Hello, We have multiple Server 2003 Print server and are working on testing a Server 2012 print server. We have run into an issue where a PRINTER (type 4, normal) works with our Windows 7 32 bit clients, Windows 8.1 64 bit clients and the
2012 R2 server, but when trying to install to a windows 7 64 bit clients using \\SERVER\PRINTER we are getting the above message. (The printer is not offered currently in the directory).
I have been scouring the Google and Bing and have yet to find a satisfactory description that matches this issue. Nor have I found other information that resolve this issue. Like, blaming this on the spooler or DLL fixes or Reg hacks (applied
on the client side).
Specifically, we have used the native 2012 R2 drivers "Ricoh Class Driver", "HP LaserJet 4240 PCL6 Class Driver" and "Xerox Phaser 6120 Class Driver"
If I use a Type 3 driver from Xerox I am able to print from the Windows 7 64 bit client to the print device, but I was hoping to get all of my clients onto 1 driver. I understand that I might be able to use some sort of WMI filtering in our GPO
deployments for the Windows 7 64 bit clients when we go live but this sort of <gs class="GINGER_SOFTWARE_mark" ginger_software_uiphraseguid="55af8faf-887d-4ea5-9032-7c14b199df0f" id="db4a1e65-db1b-4c94-bd84-20ffc96288ce">henky</gs>.

Sudden Canon CMFP Printer Driver Error?

My Canon MF8380 had been working fine with my macbook pro (printing wirelessly), and all of a sudden today I am getting an error that says:
"Canon CMFP Printer Driver: Printer is not responding. Check the printer power and connection, and then try sending printing job again."
I have tried the basics - turning off and on the printer, rebooting the macbook pro, printing from different applications, making sure Job Accounting is not checked in setup, seeing that the driver seems like it's acknowledged, checking and unchecking sharing prefs... Not versed enough to do much beond that.
Any advice?

Canon just released a new print driver that fixed my exact same error.

New print driver impacted existing printers - why?

Hi friends,
Today I added a new driver to our print server which I have done many times before, only this time in adding the new driver, all other printers of the same manufacturer (Canon) stopped working, with the device on everyone's computer showing "Driver
update needed".
The new driver was for an iDV-ADV C5250. The printers which stopped working are all C5051's. The driver was added but at this point, no other action was taken, the driver was not used for a printer (hardware hasn't arrived yet) so the very simple step of
adding a new driver in preparation for a new printer causes a major issue.
To resolve it on the Windows Server 2008 R2 print server, I selected any one of the existing Canon printers and set the driver to the new driver I added. Of course this did NOT work however then setting the driver back to what it was originally did resolve
the issue... kind of. ALL users were then required to delete and re-add the printer(s) on their computers. You can see this was not a popular fault.
Although I resolved it, I really want to understand why this occurred. Can anyone help? I really need to make sure this doesn't happen again. I thought maybe printer isolation might help but you can't set a driver to isolated until after it's added can you?

Based on your description, I understand that you add a new driver for iDV-ADV C5250 in printer server. However,
this operation affected all other C5051 printers (stop working). If anything I misunderstand, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
When an administrator updates a printer driver on a shared print server, the Point and Print feature automatically
updates printer drivers from the print server to a client computer. Some printers may share driver files across several printer models or across a family of printers. An update to one of these shared driver files will cause client computers to update the drivers
for any device that depends on the updated files.

Acrobat print driver for double-sided option?

i pretty much feel like i am brain dead or something since moving back to mac OS when it comes to printing - and that is saying something considering i moved from windows.
in any event, despite the fact i have had a ton of help in trying to figure this out i still cannot figure out how to get an option to print double-sided on my HP officejet pro. every time i get in one of these to print to a second paper tray or to create black and white only prints or two to a page or whatever i feel like i am in some hall of mirrors created by mc escher. i /have/ gone in and set presets on the mac pro for 2 to a page through 16 to a page for black and white and for color prints and i have gone ahead and done the same for my laptop as well (sigh) - however something as simple as printing to a second tray for 11 x 17 or 12 x 18 paper on the epson (i move the trays /manually/ from to the first slot to get this to work) or printing 2 sided out of acrobat (i still can't figure this out) is mind bogglignglingling.
can anyone help me figure this out? i go rooting around around in here and then just flat out give up.
am i printing out of a mac user interface and i need to download an acrobat driver or something? someone helped me out on this earlier and i am trying to get it all finalized as best i can...

i am attaching the screenshot showing the two-sided HP option (in this case it is buried under "Driver").
i don't know but for the record - i am in 2014 and every email i get says "think of the environment before you print" and HP and Mac OS and Adobe can't get it together enough to let me /easily/ print to two sided paper???? am i missing something or is burying this setting in Settings > Select Your Printer > Driver a total wormhole and - well, why after checking this am i still at a loss to print to two sided paper out of Acrobat? i have an 104 page pdf document sitting here i can't print.
i mean, i think eric was kind enough to point this setting out to me before (and lord knows mother earth dearly hopes that the checkmark is the default setting...) but why with these three powerhouses am i still at a loss to get to two-sided out of acrobat?
at least Preview buries other things and leaves this one option staring me in the face each time i print...

Type 4 printer driver shows color is available when printer is not a color printer

I am working on migrating to a new Windows Server 2012 print server. I am trying to use the new version 4 printer drivers whenever possible. I have noticed an interesting thing. Here is an example. When I added a new printer, an HP
LaserJet P3005 black and white printer using the HP LaserJet P3004/P3005 PCL6 Class Driver, under "features" it reports Color as "Yes." Now the printer is not color and I have noticed this on all of the other class 4 drivers for black
and white printers. Am I missing something or is this supposed to be this way? The printers do print fine, I just wanted to know why this is showing up like this.

Really a question for HP since it is their software.
BUT: A class driver can be used for a wide range of devices. If the core class driver HP added for the P3005 is also used by devices that support color then the driver itself DOES support color even when the device does not. There
are a couple ways HP could code around this. I do see that HP's PS version of the P3005 does not have a color option in Printing Defaults.
I have seen this type of issue from other vendors on previous operating systems, it's not just HP nor anything specific to class drivers although a class driver would expose this when the software to constrain the feature has not been added by the vendor.

Acrobat Printing Driver results in blank pages

I had Acrobat 9 Pro installed under Windows 7 Professional. I uninstalled the software to move it to my Windows 7 Enterprise Operating System and apply all the updates. When I attempt to print a web page I am receiving a blank page or a one page PDF file with just the web page name at the top of the page. Moving Acrobat back to Windows 7 Professional works OK. All my other programs including CS5 work OK under Windows 7 Enterprise without any issues.

I am unable to send a file to the PDF printer. and make a .PDF file to read or print out in the Acrobat reader. abs save the file .

I have windows Vista Home, I an installing CS5.5 Standard. This is how it acts,
I print the file to adobe printer, I enter the file name and place to send the PDF. it goes to nowhare. the queue is empty.
I have Uninstalled and installed 6 times.
First, After unstalling, I cleaned out the registry with registery booster (didn't work)
Second Uninstalled cs5.5, Adobe instructions, ran adobe_creative_suite_cleaner_tool, installed (that didn't work)
Third Uninstalled Acrobat oly ran acrobat_ittoolscleaner_p1_040612 (didn't work)
Fourth Uninstalled cs5.5 again ran Revco unstaller, Ran Adobe cleaner, Ran th Acrobat Cleaner and reininstall the cs5.5 again (didn't work)
Then I tried the disscussion group since Tech hasn't been a help.

The Hardware Test detected a RAM problem. Take out the chips and make certain that the connections are clean and reinstall them. Make certain that they are well seated.
If the problem occurs again, test with one chip at a time. Also swap bays if necessary.
Please indicate if you have installed new RAM and if so what brand and the specifications.

New - HP - Snow Leopard print drivers for missing printers available now

Good news - the Snow Leopard print drivers for the following devices are now available from Apple Software Updates. The drivers were not available this last week after Snow Leopard intro, thanks for everyones patience.
It is strongly recommended to first update to Mac OS X 10.6.1 before installing these new drivers. Make sure that the printer is turned on and connected via USB cable before launching Apple Software Update.

Help with printer driver error message after Yosemite upgrade

Hi, I have a MacBook Air and just upgraded to OS X Yosemite Version 10.10. Following the upgrade, I am not longer able to print wirelessly at university. When I tried to reinstall the printer drivers, I got the following error message "The file /Volumes/InstallLibraryPrinter/.drivers/bizhub_C364_101.pkg does not exist". I do have access to IT support, but they were stumped by this error too. Do you have any suggestions for how to fix this, so that I can print again? Thank you for your assistance.
