Acrobat Pro 9.3 | Print Error

I am trying to print a pdf file to a Xerox Phaser 8560
DT color printer.  When I select "Properties" on the print managemnt screen,
I get the following error:
"Adobe Acrobat 9.3 has stopped working".
Then I must quit out.  I have no problem accessing the "Properties" when I have selected a B&W printer, just the color printer.
Is there a patch I need or something else?  My company just upgraded to Windows 7 and MS Office 10.

I don't know why you are having the problem but
1) the current version of Acrobat 9 is 9.4.2, you should update.
2) this isn't a product support forum.  You should contact them for help.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Lion Printer Error

My MacBook Pro came with Lion already installed. I installed a new copy of Acrobat Pro 9 and it worked fine... including printing to both my Canon Pixma and Brother Laser printers. I installed Lion 7.1.2 update and when I tried to print an Acrobat file I received an error message with both printers in the printer dialogue box. Example below. When I click the resume printer arrow there is a momentary shift to where the doc should print but then it goes back to the error state.  I cannot print an Acrobat file from either the File>Print menu or internal Acrobat>Print. Printers work fine with all other applications.
I reinstalled OS X 7.1 and Acrobat again printed without a problem. I had to reinstall 7.1 (don't remember why I did THAT!) and Acrobat stopped pringting again! I have reinstalled Acrobat several times as well as OS X 7.1 but Acrobat will not print. Everything else in Acrobat works. I just upgraded to Acrobat Pro 9.2 but it does not print. I guess I could try OS X 7.2 again. Any suggestions?

Oooops. Screen shot of the printer dialogue box did not print. Sorry abou that!!!

  • When I print in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, it prints reversed..

Only recently when I try to print in Acrobat Pro 9, it prints backwards/reversed.. like a mirror.  It shows correct on the page, but when it's printed it's reversed.  I must have changed a setting by accident but can't find the issue.  Possibly in Adobe Illustrator when I tried to change the direction of an image.  It only prints like this in Acrobat.. no other application.

    Hi hollym23446293,
What are you printing to? Have you checked for a "Flip Horizontally" option (or similar) option in the Print dialog box? Its location will vary by printer, but it's often in the Layout settings.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro failed to print pdf file

I downloaded adobe acrobat pro and started the 30 trial version just a few minutes ago.
I could open files through adobe acrobat and convert word files to pdf, but when i tried converting a publisher file it could not go through. An error popped up which read "Adobe PDF printer failed to print pdf file".
The publisher file I am hoping to convert to pdf is a 21 page panorama article. It contains lots of images and a variety of font types.
I do not know other alternatives for solving this issue.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
    Thank you!
    Erik

It seems to be that Adobe Acrobat virtual printer is not properly installed on your PC or you are not selecting Adobe PDF printer to print PDF document. Checkout the below screen shot to see proper printer.
After trying this if you have same problem you may trt some other virtual printer that easily convert or print any file as PDF, you may checkout here.

  • Why does my Acrobat Pro 9 PDF print driver either lock up or become confused as to where it should store a file when printing a document from within the Firefox browser?

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.5 for creating .pdf files on a Windows XP SP3 platform. Firefox 6.0.2 is my browser of choice. This question only applies to the .pdf printing process. All other printer drivers work fine with this version of Firefox.
In attempt to save paper, I choose to print most documents in an electronic .pdf format using the PDF print driver and save them to my USB drive. Before upgrading my Firefox version to 6.0.2 this process seemed to work fine but after upgrading the .pdf print process seems to be experiencing problems. This particular printing process will cause Firefox to lock up when the distiller tries to print the file to what I believe is a temporary folder under the Adobe folder. When it does this I am sometimes able to force it to complete the process but frequently it will only produce a log not a .pdf file. On other occasions the distiller will just lock up mid print without producing any kind of error message. In both cases I will frequently have to use Windows Task Manager to break out of the process which then shuts down the Firefox browser. I don't seem to have any problems when I use Internet Explorer to perform the same function. As far as I am aware I am running the most current drivers as Adobe automatically pushes down updates to me as they become available. Any ideas how I can overcome this issue or is it inherent to the new version of Firefox?

The PDF file itself does not control the "print as image" preference, which should always be turned OFF unless there's a specific need to rasterize the entire page, and is turned off by default in all Acrobat and Adobe Reader installations.
What's the filetype for the ultralight font and what export setting* are you using in ID? If you're exporting to earlier than PDF1.7, OpenType fonts will be converted and may experience some small changes in shape if their hint definitions aren't done right.
*As a side note, bear in mind that InDesign does not use any part of Acrobat when exporting PDFs, so questions specific to that stage in the process should be posted to the InDesign forums.

  • Acrobat Pro 9.2.0 error on creating .jpg from .pdf

    Hi there,
I am encountering this same issue that was cited in the "Saving a PDF file as a JPEG" from 2008.  I have a one-page poster in Word 2010 which I was able to convert into a text renderable pdf, then - in Acrobat Pro - was able to convert this pdf into a jpg with no problems - hundreds of times in the past. The Word file is a composite of several images and text that I wish to save as a .jpg to insert into an event  programme as the front cover.
Now, on printing to pdf, I am not getting consistent renderable text when I open the file in Acrobat Pro, AND if I attempt to "save as" a jpg I get the following error:
"Acrobat could not save a page in this document because of the following error:
The image is too wide to output. Please crop it or reduce resolution and try again. (Page 1)"
I can only click ignore or cancel. Neither will allow me to create a jpg.
Has anyone else found this error recently?
I did download some updates recently to Adobe and Flash, so they could be the problem... but I have no idea what to do to undo them.
I have tried using a different pdf writer to create the pdf file, but if I go back to Acrobat Pro, I still get the jpg error. I assume the error is to do with teh image rendering end, not the pdf writing itself.
I note from the discussion string earlier, there has been no fix posted for this. This in itself is rather disappointing for an issue that first arose in 2008.
I hope someone can help as this is driving me crazy!

I'm still unable to update Acrobat Professional without doing a complete re-install of the product.
Has this issue been resolved by Adobe?
Everytime there is an update to Adobe Acrobat Professional, I have to do a complete re-install before I can apply an update.
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro XI problems printing PDFs created from AutoCAD.

Just installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and am having problems printing PDFs created from AutoCAD.  Printing other PDF created by MS Word works well.  Had a similar problem in an earlier version of Pro.  The fix I figure out then was to print the PDF file as another PDF.  Using the second PDF to print to a plotter typically worked.  It does not work for Adoabe Acrobat Pro XI.

  • Acrobat Pro 8 Not Printing (Prints from other Apps)

    Hello,
I have a user who is having a problem printing from Acrobat Pro v8.1.3. The program is up-to-date as I type this. The problem is that when a print is sent to the printer, the print shows up in the queue, exits the queue, but does not print from the printer. I have verified that I can print a test page from Mac OS X 10.5.8, and also I can print the PDF from the Preview application in Mac OS X. I have tried repairing the installation both unchecking the optional components and re-checking them, and restarting the machine to no avail. Any help on this? I have re-installed the printer drivers as well, and have tried printing via IPP, Bonjour and Appletalk, all with the same result. I am really beginning to think this is a problem with the software and short of a re-install, I don't know how else to fix. I would like to avoid re-installing as this will not tell me what is causing the problem. Thank you for your time and patience reading this.

Yes, there is the pdf printer option when I try to print. The AcroTray starts to run in the background and then just stops. I’m using Windows 7 and CS4 Acrobat Pro 9.0. I tried to update it but it gave me an error message and didn’t update.
Some background – my hard drive crashed and I had to do a reinstall. The Adobe Suite was problematic, but after many, many phone calls I was finally able to get it installed. Everything works fine except the Acrobat.

  • Printing from Mac Book Pro to windows printer Error 306

    Error 306
I tried several setups before I figured this out.
Trying to print to windows printer
Mac Book Pro / Canon MX 870 resulted in print error 306.
Home network with Linksys  wireless N router
First delete the printer on the Mac.
Make sure you go to Canon's website and download latest driver for your Mac. Canon's software driver site detects your operating system automatically and takes you to the driver you need, just make sure everything matches up. You can see the OS version you are using by clicking on the apple icon and then (about this mac)
I also down loaded network tool package. Not sure if you need it, but I loaded it too.
Now on the Canon MX870, go to the wireless set up menu. (key pad on the printer itself). Follow the promts and you will get to where you can enter your network password and get your printer to connect to your router. Now the wireless Icon on the printer will be on steady.
Now back on the Mac, Click the Apple Icon, System Preferences, then click on printers and scanners.
You will see, Default- Scanner- IP- Windows, icons at the top of the page. Just be sure the default is highlighted.
My Scanner came up first, then a few seconds later the printer appeared.
    Select the printer
Use the one with all the numbers after the printer name. (MX870xxxxxxxxxxx)
    Canon U Network
Click on it and then click the add button bottom right
Make sure your are always in good wireless signal strength throughout the entire process.
    Hope this helps.
    Lou

Thanks for the detailed info Lou!

  • Acrobat Pro 9.0 printing to Canon ImageRunner 3220 prints only first page of multi-page documents?

We just got the new CS4 and with the Acrobat Pro 9.0 install, we cannot seem to print multi-page documents.  Only the first page comes through, and the queue clears as though the document's been fully printed.
We are running Windows XP Pro SP3, and the printer is the Canon ImageRunner irC3220.
I do not want to use the "Print as Image" option, as I don't want to rasterize the file before sending it to the printer. It's an important document and it's imperative that it is printed at high quality.
We had no problems printing with Acrobat 8.
I've seen old posts regarding this issue, but couldn't find anything newer that might have had an updated solution.
Thank you in advance!! any help would be sooo appreciated right now!

    Great! Many thanks

  • Acrobat Pro X - memory reference error

I am running XP Pro x86.
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro X installed w/the lastest patches.
Every time I open a document for review, I click on the comments button and get the following error:
    "Acrobat.exe -Application Error"
The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memeory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be written.
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
If you click on OK or CANCEL the program ends.
I can use Adobe Acrobat Reader with no issues.
I have tried uninstalling all adobe products and reinstalling only pro x.
    Same issue.
I have even replace the ram memory - just in case.
    Same issue.

Adobe WTF???!!! I have wasted a whole day on this problem and it's pissing me off. I'm trying to do something very simple.
I have Acrobat Standard X. I installed the software on local administrator User A and it works
I login as local administrator User B and it doesn't work, says "Cannot use this product under a guest account". Fine.
I uninstalld software as User A and reboot
I login as User B and installd the software. Software doesn't run, still says "Cannont use this product under a guest account". Why???!!! This is ridiculous. User B, is a local admin acount, it is not a "guest account". I understand that with this license I can only run the software with one account. I want to run the software with User B, why are you forcing me to run it with User A???!!!
Can someone from Adobe please give a solution to this ridiculous problem? I'm losing my patience with your products and I am considering going another route...
