Acrobat Pro 9 hangs when I try to distribute a form I created

I'm new to this software and I feel like I've wasting an entire day trying to figure this out on my own, so I'm here for help. I've created a fillable form from a .pdf file. All that went well, and I saved the form. However, when I click on "distribute form", the system hangs in what appears to be "creating response files." When I navigate to the folder where I saved the form itself, I can see that I have created a new document that appears to be the place where responses would be returned to, but other than that, nothing else appears to have happened.
All I really want to be able to do is use the template fillable form I've created to then create new "filled in" forms for my own use, but I also cannot save or print anything once I type on the form.
Can someone please help me?

I had a similar problem and found help for it. Go to the "Advanced" menu and select Extend features in Adobe Reader. That will enable rights which may resolve your problem. If that doesn't work, there is a really helpful guy in here, Robert Levine. You may want to ask him directly.

Acrobat XI is not distributed with Designer. Designer is now a separate product. You can create forms in Acrobat as an AcroForm or using Forms Central (an online forms program). You can print the form to a new PDF and then recreate the fields in Acrobat using the recognize form fields. You will likely have to fix the form fields, but that would be the process. Generally, once a form is taken to Designer, you can't bring it back without such steps.
Designer is available with AA8 - AAX, but since is a separate product as I indicated.

Adobe pro x crashes when I try to distribute a form.

I have created a form in adobe pro x. When I try to distribute the form via email to a group of people the system tells me that it has encountered an error with Windows and shuts down. The system allowed me to distribute a couple months ago, but now I get nowhere. I am using a shared drive to house the PDF file and all users have access. I have reloaded Adobe and rebuilt the file, but I continue to get the message. I need help.

System hanging when i try to display or change or create a function module?

Hi Experts,
My system is hanging when i try to display or change or create a FM using SE37 transaction. I am able to execute SE37 transaction but when i give a FM name which is already existing, the system is getting hanged up. If i give a FM which is not present in the system and try to display it, it gives an error "FM does not exists". I have unistalled the SAP logon and reinstalled it again and restarted my system but still this problem is encountered.
Can any one please help me in this issue??

Hi Prasad,
Go to se38 transaction and look at UTILITIES-> Settings-> ABAP editor-> Change front-end editor to old(if it is new) and check once. Hope this solves your problem becuase this is what i have done for my problem and let me know whether the problem has been solved.

As a debugging step, try printing to the Adobe PDF printer. If that fails, repeat with print-to-file selected. Assuming the print succeeds, open the file in Distiller to complete the creation of the PDF. If you get the PDF, then check to see if AcroTray is properly working as a background task.

The steps I’m following are described below:
1. Insert electronic signatures
- In Tasks, click on “Add New Field -> Digital Signature”.
- Move the square to the place where you want to put the signature and click.
- Fill in the “field name” with the name of the person who has to sign here.
- When it is done, click anywhere on the screen.
- In Tasks, click on “Close Form editing”.
- Go to menu “File -> Save as -> Reader Extended PDF ->Enable additional features”, click on “Save now”.
- Fill in the file name and click on “Save”.
2. Save the Form
- In Tasks, click on “Close Form editing”.
- Go to menu “File -> Save as -> Reader Extended PDF ->Enable additional features”, click on “Save now”.
- Fill in the file name and click on “Save”.
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.0.0 on a W7 workstation

If you are using Acrobat you can try the suggestions mentioned above.
Are you using the Create PDF service from within Reader to create pdf?
If yes then please check if you are able to login to: https://cloud.acrobat.com/convertpdf with your Adobe ID and able to convert the document to pdf.
If yes then within Reader you can try the following:
Choose Edit > Preferences (Win)
Click 'Online Services' or 'Adobe Online Services' on the left-hand side
Sign out of your Adobe ID and sign back in.

I wanted to download the demo of acrobat XI but it says the previous version will be removed and deactivate the license. That sucks!

Yes it is up to date.
I can use the stamp tool and flatten it after with no problems, but the typewriter tool crashes it upon attempting to flatten.

Acrobat X Pro crashes when I try to scan

I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 7 (32-bit). I used to have Acrobat Pro 6 when I was running WinXP, but I knew that wouldn't be compatable with Win7, so I went out and got Acrobat X Pro.
My scanner is part of my multifunction device: Samsung SCX-4720F
Acrobat X Pro installed fine, as did my scanner driver. When I attempt to Create a PDF from my scanner, Acrobat X crashes every time.
I've searched the web for the problem, and have seen posts by lots of other people who have the same or similar problem with Acrobe Pro 9 using Samsung scanners, but I found no solution. Haven't seen any posts about it for Acrobat X Pro yet, but I know it hasn't been out all that long.
My scanner works fine. I have used it with Omnipage Pro 17 with no problems.
Anyone have any ideas?

          The crash seems to be happening because of DEP (Data execution prevention) on Win 7. The issue happens when Acrobat tries to communicate with scanner drivers which are not DEP compliant. It seems Samsung driver is not DEP compliant. To verify the same you can turn OFF DEP on Win 7, although it is not recommended.
To turn off DEP follow the steps mentioned below:
-          In the Start Menu, navigate to All Programs, thenAccessories.
-          In the Accessories menu, right click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator.“
-          You may need to provide Administrator credentials at this point.
-          In the Command Prompt window, type “bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff” and press Enter.
-          You should see “The operation completed successfully.“
-          Close the Command Prompt.
-          You must then reboot your computer.
Turning DEP is not recommended, so please raise this issue with Samsung also. Let us know if these steps help.

Acrobat Pro XI when installed over Acrobat 9 Pro removes LiveCycle Designer. Forms Central can't open LiveCycle Designer Forms so what do you do?
I have uninstalled XI and re-installed LiveCycle Designer only. On re-installation, I chose not to uninstall version 9 and to do a customer set up (not installing forms central).
LiveCycle is now working along with Acrobat ProXI

LiveCycle Designer is no longer distributed as part of the Acrobat release. I think it is available as a separate product. At this point, Acrobat provides the AcroForm type tools (kind of hard to get to, just as in some previous versions) and the option for Forms Central. The whole focus has changed. I suspect that others may be in the same situation of trying to get their forms to interact in Acrobat or Forms Central, but at this point I do not think there is any way to back Designer forms into either of the two current formats. Not much help, but a comment in any case.

Acrobat 9 hangs when adding a text box

It seems that any installation of Acrobat 9 I have come across, Acrobat hangs when adding a text box from "Forms>Add or Edit Fields".
I may need to apply an update or two but this problem seems very consistent and reproducable.
I plan on trying Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows XP to see if it makes any difference, but does anyone have any ideas? OTHER than upgrading to Acrobat X?

Textbox takes few extra seconds to establish himself, but it never hangs for me. Did you tried to click-n-drag to create Textbox?

Publisher hangs when I try to open an image file

Publisher hangs when I try to open an image file from:
right-click on image->Change Picture->Change Picture
The image is on my hard drive.
It also happens with powerpoint

Few Questions:
a. What version of publisher/PowerPoint are you using ?
b. Are you able to insert this image through Insert -> Image ? Image itself could be corrupt. Try to open it with some other editor ?

I'm trying to upgrade 9.0 academic version to 9.1.7 to use on a new MacBook pro. When I try to do incremental upgrades to 9.0.1 or 9.0. it says I don't need them. When I try to upgrade to 9.1.7 it says there is no version eligible to upgrade.

I think I just got it. I had the actual Logic Pro.app in a folder called Logic Pro inside the applications folder. When I moved the actual app out of the folder and into applications it worked. I am in the process of updating now. However it seems a little strange because that's how it installed from the discs - into a folder named Logic Pro within the applications folder. I would never have figured that out on my own. So thanks for those who posted solutions to other users similar requests.
