Acrobat Pro 9 pdf Printer issue

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a great day!
I have a small issue with the 9.0 printer.  It is part of my print cue, can print to it, the print dialogue says that the job is completed, but the file never shows up.
I am running a MacBook with OSX 10.5.8 and have Acrobat 9 Pro version 9.1.3.
Any ideas would be helpful.  My apologies if I did not provide enough information to do so!  Cheers.
Jeremy

If you have X.5.8.  look here:
I've blacked out my computer identity. This is based on on my OSX.4.11 Setup.
In reading up on Snow Leopard I 've read in MacWorld and what was Mac Addict that lots of things have been changed moved around or renamed in Snow Leopard. So Your milage may vary.
As for Getting back the PDF Printer in Snow Leopard. Because of the new Security system in Snow Leopard, as  the saying goes it ain't going to happen.
(Please note information is given by an Experienced User of Acrobat. I am not an employee of Adobe.)

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended | Print Option | Enable Flash Object Issue

    Hi,
We are facing some problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended Print Option.
We had a requirement to embed interactive Flash graphs in the PDF file, user will interact with these graphs and whatever graph he plotted, the data for it will be saved in PDF text field, so that on the next launch we can fetch the data to the flash from PDF text fields, so that user can see what changes he did last time. This works great, we are able to successfully comminicate from PDF to flash and then from Flash to PDF.
Please note that, PDF can have multiple graphs on different pages.
The issue we are facing is when we interact with the graphs and then try to print the PDF, in that case only the currently active graph or flash file (The page on which user is currently on) will be seen enabled in the print, the graphs on the other pages, which are not currently visible are seen in disabled state hence the data on it does not get printed.
We have also used the "RMA.activated = true;" command, still no success. Please refer to the screen shots below to understand the issue in more detail..
    Flash Embed Options:
In the Print Option, it looks disabled:
The required/desired output is as follows:
We want all Graphs to get printed in enabled state and with the data user had entered. Please do let me know, if there is any workaround to achive this functionality.

Which version. I think it is a minimum of AA9.2 that is needed for X64. Anyway, you should probably either open Acrobat and do the update (help menu) or download all of the updates from Adobe>downloads>updates and install them in order. The current version is AA9.3.4.

  • Firefox v33 knocked out my Adobe 7 pro PDF printer plugin. PDFs print OK from other applications.

Firefox v33 knocked out my Adobe 7 pro PDF printer plugin. PDFs print OK from other applications. It happened a few times randomly, and it seemed to resolve spontaneously, but now it is persistent.
I've done scans for malware, which I suspected, but nothing showed up, nor corrected it with cleaning.
I had this problem before, and I found directions on how to rest the printer within Firefox, but I've forgotten how or where I got it.
I did try to re-install in control panel, but this appears to be a firefox issue. How do i rest the plugin or Firefox to once again print PDFs from browser pages. I need to use this feature printing receipts etc.

Are you using a toolbar button (Create PDF extension) or a printer driver (selecting Adobe PDF or Distiller in the Print dialog) to generate the PDF? Older versions of Create PDF have been reported not to work any more (by older I mean from Acrobat X or earlier), but the printing method should still work.

  • Acrobat X pdf printer crashed by Acrobat XI

I accidentally installed Acrobat XI 30 days trail on my computer, but after I uninstall it, my existing Acrobat X pdf printer doesn't work,  that Adobe Acrobat X pdf printer still use acrobat XI's path......
    how can I fix it????

Run Acrobat 10 and under the Help menu items, select Repair Acrobat Installation. If that doesn't fix the problem, you will likely need to full uninstall Acroabat 10, reboot (this is important), and then fully reinstall Acrobat 10.

  • Acrobat X pro pdf printer missing/ puzzle re forum fixes

Licensed Acrobat X pro installed; but no pdf printer.
    Attempted workaround
    <http://blogs.adobe.com/dmcmahon/2012/06/04/acrobat-pdf-printer-missing-after-installation- on-windows-64-bit/>
Solution 1 repair --did not work
Solution 2 --Uninstall and reinstall: I installed as part of CS5.5...do I have to unistall entire or just Acrobat?
Solution 3:  I am copying below with notes as to what didn't show up
    Manually install the PDF Printer
Click Start >  Control Panel > Devices and Printers
    Select Add a printer
    Select Add a local printer
Check Use an existing port and select Documents\*.pdf (Adobe PDF) from the drop down.  Click Next
[No such file on 'existing port.' attempted using NITRO pdf which came with this new lenovo machine [but never availbale and not installed --jst recommended, although this file exists  < NitroPDF Port: (local port) > which I attempt]
    Click the Have Disk… button
    Click the Browse… button
    Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF
Select AdobePDF.inf from the list if using Acrobat Pro, or AdobePDFstd.inf if using Acrobat Std, then click the OK button
    [this files exists]
You will see many Adobe PDF Converters in the list, however count six down from the top and click Next (you may need to try this numerous times to find the correct Converter from the list that works with your version of Windows)
    [Attempted six down--no dice].
Name your printer, e.g. Adobe PDF
Follow the rest of the prompts and your PDF printer should now be installed correctly
If you are later prompted for the ADPDF9.PPD file, it can be found in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF\<OS version> folders.
[Once I hit 'test' print it states  < Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrotray.exe'.
BUT i'm not using Acrobat 11.0!
    Any ideas, o wise ones?
    best,
    skylar1

    Hello All,
    I just figured this out--
I installed updates in the Help tab, and the files required, including pdf printer were installed.
    Works!
I realize that this is a gen behind in software but I am running legacy large format printers and the newest is not the best in this application.
    Hope this helps....

  • Acrobat 7.0 Pro pdf printer does not populate? Error says printer port.

I got a new computer and was installing Creative Suite & Acrobat pro and the Adobe PDF printer does not show up in the Printers. I downloaded the upgrade and Windows says it cannot install.
I am running Windows 7 Pro

Two parts of AA 7 will not install on Win 7 (32 or 64-bit): the Adobe PDF printer and AcroTray.exe. You can install a separate color PS printer (either one from Adobe or possibly one for an HP color PS printer), change the name to Adobe PDF and change the port to FILE. That should do the job, but you will ALWAYS have an extra step in the creation of a PDF. You will have to print to the printer and a PS file will be created (probably with a PRN extension). You then have to open that file in Distiller to create a PDF. From my brief testing, this process will work and the rest of Acrobat and Distiller seem to work (though I did not test extensively). If this is unacceptable to you, then purchase AA XI (upgrade not available from AA 7).

  • Acrobat X Pro - pdf printer

    hi
I install on my mac (leopard 10.5.8) Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
but i haven't any pdf printer in Preferences->Printer
how I print with acrobat pdf printer as the same on Acrobat 9 Professional?

The proper method to set up is in the original Document.
I've just tested this out. It use to be that you could use page setup with Acrobat.
Since Acrobat 9 the setup menu has been rendered useless, then in Acrobat X it was totally removed.
I created a test Pdf in Word 2011. I  setup for a 4by6"  Card (like you print Recipes on).
Then I went to Print Menu and choose PDF > Adobe PDF. Then when I chose location and saved file. Acrobat opened up and the PDF was 4by6" Card format.
Whatever  WordProcessor you use set page set up there for A4 create your Document choose adobe PDF, under the PDF button in the Print menu. save your PDF document.
When you open your PDF it will be in the proper format.

  • Acrobat reinstall on a Mac/PDF printing issue

I tried reinstalling Acrobat Pro on my Mac because my HP Printer was not printing pdfs.  I got an error message: "Run preinstall script for payload."  I have no idea what this means, and all I really need is to be able to print pdfs from a webpage. (The reinstall was my attempt to update on the Adobe end.)  I also have CS5 installed already.  Please help; thanks in advance.

    Try this:
    1.  Go to Apple menu>System Preference>Printers and Scanners
    2.  Press the plus symbol button "+"
    3.  In the Add dialog select IP at the top
    4.  in the Address field put the numbers 127.0.0.1
    5.  In the Protocol pop-up menu make sure that Line Printer Daemon - LPD is selected
    6.  Leave the Queue field bland for the default printer
    7.  In the Name field it will say "127.0.0.1" and you can leave it to that or change it to anything you want.
    8.  Leave the Location field blank
    9.  Leave the Use field pop-up menu field at the default which is Generic PostScript Printer.
    10.  Click the Add button
    11.  You will get the message:
"Unable to verify the printer on your network.
Unable to connect to '127.0.0.1' due to an error.
Would you still like to create the printer?"
    12.  Click the Continue button.
    13.  In the Setting up '127.0.0.1...' dialog click the OK button
    14.  Open up TextEdit
    15.  Type some test text (e.g.  Test Text)
    16. In TextEdit Go to File>Print
    17. In the Print dialog, press on the PDF button on the lower Left side of the window.
    18.  Select Save As Adobe PDF.
    19.  In the Save As Adobe PDF dialog, select your Adobe PDF Settings and whether or not you want the resulting PDF to open in Adobe Acrobat Pro and then click the Continue button.
    20. In the Save window, title your PDF in the Save As: field, navigate to the location you want to save the PDF and then click the Save button.
    21. Done.
    Enjoy!

  • PDFs from Adobe Acrobat Pro not printing with Yosemite

I am unable to print PDFs from Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.09 since installing Yosemite 10.10. I have been check-marking "print as image," which worked previous to Yosemite.
I am now printing via the Apple Preview, but despite selecting 1 copy, it is printing 10 of everything.

    Hi,
IO must say, it seems to work now without me having to tick the Print as Image box.
    This is my version:
    Architecture: i386
    Build: 11.0.9.29
    AGM: 4.28.138
    CoolType: 5.11.136
    JP2K: 2.0.0.32097

  • Acrobat Pro 8 Print queue error, but pdf is created fine...

I'm running xp pro, and acrobat pro 8, every time I try to print a pdf, I get an error with the print queue although it still makes a pdf every time! I've tried the repair tool in acrobat and also uninstall/reinstall but I get the same deal every time.
Its more an annoyance than anything as I still get the pdf files but I'm thinking something must be wrong to throw up an error every single time!
Any help would be good :)

Alternatively, look at using digital signatures and the security
policies. This method ensures that only the person with the matching
certificate can open the file and have specific options ...
It would involve swapping digital ID files but once set-up, it's very
powerful ... just uses Acrobat 8 and even Reader ..

  • Acrobat Pro 9 Print Comment Summary Issues

I have acrobat pro 9 and am not able to print a comments summary.  When I click "Print Comment Summary" I am not redirected to the "Print" window as tutorials explain should happen.  The "Summarize Options" window just closes and nothing else happens.  Is there something I can change to make this work.  Thanks for your help!

Sorry about that the subversion is 9.4.0 and I am running xp.  It is adobe acrobat pro, should I move this question to a different forum?

  • Compatibility of IE9 with Adobe Acrobat 9 PDF printer

    Hello,
I know from reading this document that the Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker is not supported in IE9:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html
Does this only apply to the PDFMaker utility located within the browser, or does it also apply to the Adobe PDF printer that is available as a choice if I try to print a webpage?
I ask because every time I try to print a webpage to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer (NOT the PDFMaker) using the following sequence of steps:
    1. right clicking on the page
    2. clicking "Print...",
    3. selecting "Adobe PDF" from the list of printers
    4. choosing a location for the destination .pdf file
    4. click "Print"
a window pops up with the title "Creating Adobe PDF", but the progress bar never fills up and the PDF file is never created.  There is a spinning Adobe logo and a printer icon in the system tray.  If I double click on the printer icon, I can see the document I sent to the Adobe PDF printer.  The status is "Spooling".  Occasionallly the PDF document will eventually be created, but usually it isn't.
I have better luck in Chrome, but sometimes it too hangs, although the documents are eventually created.
    Here are my specs:
    Windows Vista Business 64-bit
IE 9.0.8112.16421 (both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions experience the problem)
    Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended 9.5.5
    To summarize:
Printing to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer and IE9 causes the "Creating Adobe PDF" step to hang forever.  I know IE9 is not compatible with PDFMaker, but what about the Adobe PDF printer?

    Hi,
I believe I am having similar issues to yourself. I have been looking for solutions for a day or two now but can not find anything. Have you managed to find a resolution or work around?

  • Acrobat Pro 8 Printing Problems with Xerox 252 Fiery

printer: Xerox 252 with Fiery Controller
    Software: Acrobat Pro 8
    OS: WinXp pro
The problem occurs when I am printing a binder that consists of 8x11 and 11x17's. The printer locks up and does not print. We have had the Xerox techs come out but after numerous trouble shooting efforts we came to a conclusion that there is an issue with Acrobat 8.
Also, in order to print an 8x11 or 11x17 there is a need to go through and set the file size for each time we print. The check box "print by pdf source size" is checked and we are still having problems.
I've had no issue with Acrobat 7 and the problems I'm having are with Acrobat pro 8.

Correction it's a Xerox Docucolor 242 PS with Fiery

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro - .pdf to html conversion not exporting correctly

Hi There - I have downloaded the trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro. I uploaded a .pdf file and it is saved as a .html file. It looks great on their platform, although when I download the .html file it saves everything incorrectly.  I can call them tomorrow, but I would like to see if anyone has any ideas on why this might be a problem? Thanks so much. -Beth

You do not have all the fonts embedded, but the basic document looks fine. There is an issue withe the printer setup in your browser that is leading to part of the page running off the paper - but that is a browser issue and not Acrobat. In some cases, a simple fix is to print as landscape.
