  • Acrobat Pro XI Failed to Install-again

I have followed instructions to the last detail. Installation failed on "Running Package Scripts" - I signed out of the "creative cloud" - tried it again - "Installation failed on "Running Package Scripts" . I then shut down my computer & restarted my computer & followed the steps again. Installation failed on "Running Package Scripts" again. I have waisted hours & perhaps days - of time trying to get this software "from the cloud" - I would respectfully request a working piece of software - fully registered - that "will instal properly" -

What operating system? A key to installation of software is to login as the administrator and disable anti-virus during the install. The installation processes for CS and CC systems are a bit different than for the stand-alone Acrobat and you should get confirmation from the CC forum for your needs. I am not that familiar with CC, but CS has a set of procedures that are needed to install Acrobat (after the rest of CS). I might be wrong, but that is why I am directing you to the CC forum.

Bought new Adobe Acrobat Pro XI tried to install but got message installer encountered an error that caused installation to fail, can anyone help with this?  I am stuck.

    Hello Joe,
did you purchase your product from these firms like Amazon? If yes, this is not a serial number, only a code with which you can request a serial number from Adobe. Please have a look at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html. (Start here: How did you purchase your product?)
The following part, so I just see at least, ceased to exist on my Adobe website, everything takes place in the link from above. I leave it as an info yet, it might still fit for you. For this purpose, please click your way through to your Adobe Store and find the button "Get Serial Number". Fill in the form and after a while you will get the real serial number.

  • Since installing CS6, Acrobat Pro X fails I had to reinstall it a few times, now doesn't work

Since installing CS6, Acrobat Pro X failed a few times. I had to reinstall it a few times, now doesn't work at all even after installing again.

    Hi there
    Thank you for your reply.
When I click on the link for the cleaner however, before I can download the
file, it gives me this message:
"Important - This tool is not for use with any creative suite products
including suites that contain Acrobat. It can only be used with standalone
versions of Acrobat and Adobe Reader"
Adobe X Pro forms part of my Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard?
    Please advise.
    Thanks

  • Error Message reads: "Adobe Acrobat Updater Certificate failed to install."

I am unable to make any updates to my Adobe programs (including creative suite CS3). Everytime I try, I type in my password, but I always get the same error message: Adobe Acrobat Updater Certificate failed to install.
I believe this is happening because I actually inherited my Adobe programs, including the MacBook Pro the programs are installed on. The owner used to be a relative who, sadly, passed away. I thought I had changed everything to be under my name as the owner, but having never done it before it's possible I missed something? Perhaps my relative's name is still recognized as the owner?
Please help as this is wreaking havoc in many "little" ways...
    Thanks.

Had the same problem. Found two updaters on the computer. Go to "applications/utilities/adobe utilities". Threw away the folder "Adobe Updater5". Ran the "Adobe Updater6/Adobe Updater.app". Problem gone.

    Hi halb10567672,
You can download the setup file again from this Link (Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X ) and Burn it to a DVD Disc using Windows Explorer.
Please revert back for any further query or assistance.

I have paid my subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro but can not install it… I always get an error message …also I did not receive any instalation code...

With the subscription you sign in with your Adobe ID that you used to order the subscription. By installation code, I assume you mean serial number. You do not get one with the subscription, but use your Adobe ID.

  • Acrobat Pro X fails to open PDF files after new install

    Hi
We have installed Adobe Design Premium CS5.5 and the issue we have is that when you try to open a PDF document directly nothing happens, the egg times displays for 1-2 seconds then disapears. We have to open Acrobat Pro from the start menu and let it open, then close it again, when we then try again to open a PDF document directly it now opens.
Why wont Adobe open the document directly without having to open the program first?
We are a school and have Adobe Design Premium installed on 500 computers.
    Thanks

Usually related to file associations in Windows. Right click on the PDF and select the Open With option and select Acrobat. Be sure to check "always open with."

The logs suggests that the Acrobat Licensing component is not able to install properly.
    Please try following steps:
    1. Go to www.adobe.com
    2. Log-in with your Adobe ID and Password.
    3. From left panel - choose 'Desktop' under 'Apps'
    4. Navigate to Acrobat XI Professional and download trail.

  • Acrobat Pro repeatedly failing

    Hello,
I have Adobe Design Standard Creative Suite 6 (ps, ai, acrobat pro) for windows on a single computer, yet Acrobat X Pro has been continually failing.  Version 10.1.13.
I have reinstalled it twice.  Both times, it works briefly and then fails.  I have a DVD copy of the programs and serial number.  I uninstall, re-install and enter in the serial number.  Once, I tried to reinstalled through Adobe's Website, but frankly trying to get into contact with Adobe is incredibly frustrating, as is navigating the site.  We pay hundreds of dollars for these programs and rely on them for our work, only to have something as basic as viewing a PDF and PDF printing repeatedly fail.
I would like to express how irate I am with Adobe at the moment for lack of an adequate customer support structure.  I realize it is likely that I am doing something wrong, however it also seems that there is something wrong with the serial number recognition.  Am I being deactivated because it thinks I have installed on too many computers?  Finding this out could be resolved with a simple phone call, but there does not seem to be one.
I would greatly appreciate any input anyone might have.
    Thank you very much.
    Sincerely,
    C

  • Windows 8.1 Pro Pack fails to install

Been trying to install Windows 8.1 Pro Pack on my Dell XPS but it continues to fail, indicating 'something went wrong'.  I worked with two different Microsoft support techs on this.  The first executed a number of scans and started dism.exe /online
/cleanup-image /scanhealth, which finished successfully.  They then started dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, which started and remained at 40%.  The first tech later disconnected.   I worked with another tech that performed
a virus scan and then indicated that I would have to pay for premium service for him to scan the laptop again.
There are no errors listed in the system log that I can find and no way to determine what 'something went wrong' means.  All of the non-Microsoft services have already been disabled by the first tech using 'msconfig' so there is nothing running other
than Windows.  Does anyone know where there might be a log or trace that I can check to determine why the Pro Pack won't install?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
We can check the following path to troubleshoot the installation.
    C:\WINDOWS\PANTHER\setupact.log
    C:\WINDOWS\PANTHER\setuperr.log
Also, please upload it to Onedrive and post the link here.

  • Acrobat Pro 9 & XI both installed on Mac. How can I uninstall Acrobat Pro 9 & not affect Acrobat XI?

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro XI are installed on the same iMac with OS X 10.8.5.  How do I safely uninstall only Acrobat Pro 9 without affecting Acrobat Pro XI?
When I first installed Acrobat Pro XI, I thought maybe I was suppose to leave Acrobat Pro 9 on my computer.
So now I have both Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro 11 installed.
I see no benefit to having both installed. I want to uninstall only the Acrobat Pro 9 and not Acrobat Pro XI.
I am not sure that I can safely uninstall Acrobat Pro 9 without affecting the functioning and files for Acrobat Pro XI.
I started to uninstall Acrobat 9, but I stopped when I saw a warning in a little window.
I went to the  "Acrobat Uninstaller.app"  file in the  "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro"  folder and double clicked it.
The Acrobat folder for Acrobat XI Pro came up with the file "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app" selected
I manually selected the  "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app"  file in the  "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro" folder.
When I clicked on "Adobe Acrobat Pro.app" for Acrobat 9  a window with a warning came up. So I stopped.
"Uninstall will remove files, folders, and preferences installed by Acrobat from your system.
There is no undo available. User data files and directories shared by other Adobe applications will not be removed."
Should I go ahead and click [Uninstall]?
I don't think it will delete my pdf files.
Will this affect my Acrobat XI operating &/or preferences? Will Acrobat XI still function correctly?
What do I have to do to safely have just Acrobat XI on my computer without Acrobat 9?
    Thank you for any help.

I am trying to uninstall, I tried to uninstall, but I got the following message when trying to uninstall: "Invalid Application. The application selected was not a valid Acrobat application for this uninstaller. Please rerun the uninstaller." Acrobat 9 installation suddenly stopped working
    Can you help?
