If all other applications are running fine, than try the Acrobat cleaner tool to remove any leftover files from this link( http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html ) and than try to Install Acrobat XI Pro on your computer.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro: Install Problem "not enough disk space"

    Hi:
I just bought and downloaded Acrobat Pro 9 from the Adobe site and took the following steps:
    1) Uninstalled Acrobat Pro 7 & rebooted
    2) expanded installation copy onto Desktop
    3) Copied Install to CD
    4) Installed and chose both "Typical" & "Complete"
    5) Got a message (with each install try from step 3) box with my D drive (CD Drive!!) highlighted saying: "the highlighted volumes do not have enough disk space available for the currently chosen features..."
NOTE: this is my CD drive highlighted as not having enough disk space, not my C drive (the drive being installed to. C drive has 23GB space. No matter what I did, it kept blocking my install beyond this point.
I did this both from a CD and from the Desktop Install folder.
I was able to successfully install it on my notebook -- Complete Install with no problems.
    I'd appreciate any ideas.
    Thanks!

  • Problem with Acrobat Pro - install, etc.

I have problem with my Acrobat Pro (in Adobe Design Standard CS6 edition) - Regularly once a month throughout the software crashes and will not turn on. Only helps to re-install. My customer identification number is : 168735979. Thank you.

Thank you but unfortunately the process does not work. It makes the same thing as before. When I install and enters the serial number, it writes: We are unable to verify the product serial number Creative Suite 6 Design Standard. Please contact Customer Support.
When I deactivated Photoshop and re-activated by the process, everything went without a problem. The problem is only with Acrobat Pro. Acrofix - after running only flashes a command prompt window, otherwise nothing happens. I do not know what to do ....

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro XI problems printing PDFs created from AutoCAD.

Just installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and am having problems printing PDFs created from AutoCAD.  Printing other PDF created by MS Word works well.  Had a similar problem in an earlier version of Pro.  The fix I figure out then was to print the PDF file as another PDF.  Using the second PDF to print to a plotter typically worked.  It does not work for Adoabe Acrobat Pro XI.

  • Acrobat Pro installed on a Windows 2003 32bit server - where's the 64bit driver?

    Hello.
I'm still newbie with Acrobat Pro so please bear with me if this is a silly question.
A prospect of ours installed the TRIAL version of Acrobat Pro Extended on a 32bit Windows 2003 server and everything went fine; this server "serves" a number of Windows 7 64bit boxes which are supposed to share the PDF Printer created on the Win2003 server during the installation.
Problem is that when the printer gets shared and clients try to install it, the 64bit driver could not be found.
The customer tried to install the 64bit driver on the Win2003 box but he does not know where to find the correct .INF file for 64bit windows client.
    Thanks,
    Rob

Two facts for consideration. As I understand it the trail only comes in 64-bit. Don't know for sure since I have never downloaded it, but that is a faint memory.
More importantly, read the EULA carefully before you purchase for the type of application you listed. The general EULA does not allow the use of Acrobat on a server in the manner you have indicated. You have to purchase Acrobat for each machine, not a  server. You may have enough that need to use the product that a volume license is in order -- contact Adobe for that. In the meantime, use the Acrobat Trail to test the features and such to be sure it meets your needs (other than the server use).

  • Acrobat Pro reinstallation problem

Variations on this problem have already been asked and responded to, and I have read them, but I'm afraid they don't help me!
I have Acrobat Pro Extended v9.5.2 installed on my old desktop (XP Home). I bought it as a single-user-licence download, I think between 2 and 3 years ago, but I can't remember from whom and have no emails or documentation relating to my purchase.
I am in the process of moving over to a new laptop (Windows 7, 64 bit) and wish to run Acrobat on it. I accept that this presumably means I will have to uninstall it from the desktop. I have copied over the files (to the x86 directory) and tried to run the installer.
I have retrieved the serial number from the desktop's registry, but when I use it in the installer on the laptop I get the 'Invalid serial number' error that so many other people have reported. I have tried with hyphens, with spaces, and with neither - same result.
Some (not all) postings to some threads on this topic suggest that all valid serial numbers must start with 1118. Mine doesn't - it starts with 9282. Is it possible that the number in the registry is encrypted though it looks straightforward?
If I knew for certain that the sole reason for the 'invalid' message is that the product is already installed with that serial number on my desktop, I would be happy to uninstall it from there first. However, other people's postings suggest that it is not that simple. I can't risk uninstalling from the desktop, trying and failing to install on the laptop, then trying and failing to reinstall on the desktop because the serial number is still 'invalid' - leaving me unable to use my software on either machine.
Any suggestions/ideas gratefully received, thank you!

Thank you for replying. I have come to the conclusion that the serial number contained in the registry must be encrypted. (I am assuming that what you call the key is what I and the installation process call the serial number, ie the 24-digit number contained in both HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Adobe/Repair/Adobe Acrobat/9.0/IOD/SERIAL and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Adobe/Adobe Acrobat/9.0/Registration/SERIAL)
From its format and location in the registry I cannot think that this number is anything other than the serial number, therefore it must be encrypted.
I don’t understand what you mean by “I would have thought that you would have a file that provides the key”. Do you mean that there is a file somewhere among the application files that holds this information?

  • Acrobat pro X problem

    Hi there,
I have the cs6 suit and for some reason adobe acrobat pro would not open along with pdfs not opening. So I unistalled it and now can not figure out how to re-insstall it? I have my registration key and the whole suit is in my plans and product page when I login to adobe online.
Is there a way to get this back without re-installing the whole suite?

Suite-bound products require to reinstall the whole suite. You can, however try to run the cleaner tool to unlock the suite installer without actualyl deleting anything and try to install a standalone Acrobat. It may just not latch on to the licensing properly...

  • Acrobat Pro XI problem+Accept End User License Agreement when opening a PDF inside IE

Hi folks, this issue has been challenging.
    Acrobat Pro CC install
    W7 X64
Deployment went ok after the code was worked out, but.....
We use Desire to Learn content management system at the community college where I maintain the student computers at. When running D2L and a PDF has been embedded in some course material, I am getting the message below and the PDF won't open.
“Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement" .
The only fix so far is to run up Acrobat Pro and run the program once. Fine and dandy, but we are looking at 700+ machines to clear in this fashion. The other part of this scenario we we also utilize Respondus Lockdown Browser to invigilate exams through D2L. Because of the "lock down" features, the student can't even get back to the desktop to run Acrobat and clear the message.
I have tried a number of GPO entries to no avail. As well, disabled the IE PDF viewer add-on. I ran Procmon with no results either; .
I have been scouring the Googlemachine and building on the GPO below to get around the issue with no results. I am hoping someone with a sharper eye than I can spot something or point me in the correct direction..
    Thanks eh.

  • Acrobat Pro 9, problems with CS5

I recently installed CS5 over CS4, then I uninstalled all the CS4 programs, keeping Acrobat Pro 9, now when I open Acrobat it gives me the Adobe Acrobat is installed as a part of a suite to run you must open another product pop-up, I have tried running it with Photoshop CS5 but it still gives the same error, I s this because it was connected with CS4, what should I do so I can run Acrobat Pro 9?

Since you uninstalled the rest of CS4 you removed the part that okayed Acrobat 9 to be activated. Uninstall Acrobat 9, then install the version that came with CS5.

  • Acrobat Pro 9 problems - please help

    Hello there from Victoria, Canada
We are a small group of teachers that produce monthly current events teaching units for Canadian schools.
Some of our our customers receive the newsletter by mail, and the rest download pdf files from our website. The pdf files are password protected and we notify our subscribers by email what the password is.
We have never had never experienced any major issues, until now. We recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro version 9 (from 8) and many, many subscribers have been contacting us claiming that they cant open the password protected files even though they are using Adobe Reader 9. When I create the pdf file, the settting I use is open with Reader 5 and above.
Many of our customers are very frustrated and so are we. Can anyone please help ???? Is anyone else experiencing problems and what can we do to solve this?
Thanks in advance for your time.
    Eric W.

    Hi Eric,
The file will never open in Mac Preview because Preview doesn't know how to decrypt it. The reason Preview thinks that the file is corrupt because it is encountering the encrypted data which appears to Preview to be junk. Only an application that has PDF decryption capabilities (e.g. Adobe Reader or Acrobat) will be able to open the file.
As an aside, the file is in Acrobat 7.0 and later format (i.e. it uses the PDF-1.6 file structure) and although the encryption algorithm is one that Acrobat 5 understands (128-bit RC4) there are other elements in the file that cannot be displayed in Acrobat 6.x and earlier. Although Michael noted above that he was able to open the file in versions 5 and 6, the display would have been degraded.
Assuming that the persons having trouble opening the file are not using Preview, but are indeed using Reader 9.0, are there any alert dialogs that come up when they try to open the file? And as Phil asked above, what system (OS and language) are they on?
Also, because the Open Password edit box doesn't display until the entire file has been downloaded, it is possible that on slower systems that it appears that the file won't open.
    Thanks,

  • Acrobat Pro - Printing Problems

I've just started having problems printing from Acrobat Pro 9.0.  I've heard there might be a patch or something to solve this issue, but can't find anything.  I realize that this is an old program, but don't have the funds to upgrade, so have to stick with what I have.  The problem occurs every time I try and print a PDF that was created in Illustrator or InDesign (it says that there are no pages selected or it just funnels through like it's going to print, but nothing happens and it disappears from the print queue.  Occasionally I have a problem printing PDF's that were created from other sources (or downloaded from the web) - most of the time these take at least 15 minutes or so to print each page.
This just started happening.  I don't have problem printing from other programs, just Acrobat Pro.  Any help that anyone can send would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you for responding to all of my questions and helping with this problem.  I'm sorry, but I'm not sure how to apply these.  I've opened up the link and it wants me to connect to a server…I selected guest.  It doesn't connect to anything.  I'm not exactly sure what I am supposed to be doing with this.
