Acrobat Pro installed as part of CS3 - asks for Admin password at launch

Installed CS3 whilst logged in as Admin, for a Leopard rollout.
All apps in the Suite work except Acrobat Pro, which asks for an Admin password every time it is launched. I have Googled this and tried all suggestions from the simple 'Fix permissions' to editing the ''AcroENUPro80SelfHeal.xml'' and ''RdrENU90SelfHeal.xml''.
Nothing as yet fixes this issue
As a last resort and with no real believe that it will work, I am re installing CS3 again under Admin rights and running every app in the Suite first before adding to the new image. I am sure that when I installed the first time I ran all updates and launched every app in the suite.

Ran all updaters, on 3 Macs. All stil continue to ask for Admin name and password.
Googling around this seems to be an ongoing issue with Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Reader.

To install/update Adobe Reader or Acrobat you need to supply your computer's Administrator password.

I just went through this same process.... I changed my credit card, double checked billing info, changed my password, I restored my phone, but the misake I made was I kept restoring it from my back up.... Finally I went to Apple Store.. and sad to say that you have to do a restore, and DO NOT restore from back up.
I used Gmail so I didnt loose contacts or email.. but I did loose all my text messages and history of that.
So, I had the EXACT same problem and it was a software issue.. you have to restore your phone to factory settings and start all over.. BLOWS I know!

I'm afraid that you may be confusing two different 'passwords' - there's your Apple ID (the user name and password that you used to get into these forums) and then there's your computer user name and password - usually two seperate user names and passwords.
If you want to change your password for your user account on your computer, go to System Preferences>Users & Groups and unlock the preference pane. Then you can select your user name and change your password there. Changing a user name is a bit complex and I don't think you want to try that!

Compressord asks for admin password

We have a Workgroup manager environment with all Applications in the Applications
folder being allowed, including Compressor. Sometimes the Application will hang
in a loop and compressord keeps asking for admin password. An excerpt if the
system log is below...Any ideas what might be causing this?

Reader 9 Mac keeps asking for admin password

Every time I open Adobe Reader 9 (Mac) it asks for an admin user name and password. I can hit cancel and the document will open, but this is very annoying. How do I change this? Thank you.

I have this problem since Version 8. I tought It would have been fixed with version 9, but it is not. I have upgraded from Mac OS 10.4.9 to 10.5.4, and I still have problems. When I open Reader 9 within the Admin account, I enter the password in order to install it properly. When I log out and log in with another user account, got the "License Agreement" screen, if I click <agree>, I'm prompted twice for the computer Admin Password. If I click <Cancel> on both of them, reader quits and i got the message "Reader could not instal Correctly" and it quits. If I go back to my local Admin account, I open Reader 9 it still work as expected. What am I doing wrong ? Is it a low quality app or I simply just doing my setup the wrong way ? I can't really ask every single user to enter the Admin Password in order to complete an installation. Users are not supposed to complete an installation, it's the administrator's job, my job... May be Reader version 8 and 9 are not compatible and cannot be installed simultaneously along Acrobat 8 Profesional... Adobe, I really need some help on that issue that last for about two years.

I downloaded and installed the Wls6.0 sp2 and wlintegration2.0 sucssesfully but when go to processes integration studio it is asking the password for admin. so i don't know what password to enter? while installing the wl integration it did not ask for any username and password. if somebody help with will appriciated.ThanksUDay

SCUTIL keeps asking for Admin password...

After the ML upgrade, launching a browser causes a dialog to pop up saying that SCUTIL wants to change my configuratin and asks for an admin password.
Back when I upgraded to Lion I had this issue and I found a terminal command to fix it. After Upgrading to Mountain Lion its back again and I can't seem to find the fix. Anybody know how to deal with it? It gets pretty annoying after a while. The rest of ML seems to work fine for me on my 2009 Mac Pro.

How could I allow selected Domain users or Computers to install programs and not be asked for Admin credentials.

We have a handfull of Laptops in the company. They are all joined to our
Domain. The default domain policy keeps these non-adminstrators from installing

few users that we would let install programs but would prefer not to make administrators.

Based on what I have found Power Users group has no added user rights in Windows 7:

So despite the caution it does not seem like an option. As for Publishing Software, if the user needs to install something "on the fly" that will not work. I guess i could just add to the administrator group as needed in order to install programs then
remove. Now the user is remote operationg on cached credentials. Would then not need to come to the domain and log in locally in order to update their security tokens.

When try to install get a dialog box asking for admin account even though current account is admin

i'm logged into an account that has admin privledges. when i try to install FIrefox 5.0.1 get a "Run as" dialog box. when continue with current account or any other admin account the install quits with no warnings or messages of any kind.
