Acrobat Pro: Miniarutseiten (Navleiste links) ohne Wasserzeichen?

Hallo alle miteinander.
Um unsere Publikationen zu schützen, habe ich ein Wasserzeichen eingebettet. Das ist komplett schwarz, erscheint nur beim Drucken und soll jedem, der den Duckschutz knackt schön viel Tinte kosten.
Soweit so gut, mein Problem:
Die Miniaturseiten, in der Navleiste links, scheinen eine Art Druckvorschau zu liefen. Denn obwohl ich (bei Wasserzeichen -> Optionen für Erscheinungsbild) eingestellt habe, dass es NUR beim Drucken angezeigt werden soll... sind meine Miniaturseiten jetzt alle schwarz.
Das ist jetzt nicht gerade vorteilhaft für Onlinepublikationen.
Kann man das Wasserzeichen für die Miniaturbilder entfernen? Oder den Vorschaumodus ändern? Oder muss ich die Seitenvorschau irgendwie entfernen?
Ich arbeite mit Adobe Acrobat Pro und müsste, wenn es eine Lösung gibt, das ganze evtl. als Sequez speichern. Es handelt sich hier um über 100 betroffene Dateien

Ich würde erst die Miniaturen in das Dokument einbetten und dann das Wasserzeichen hinzufügen.

Hi! I've been searching for days now... does anyone know if it's possible using Acrobat Pro 9 to force a URL link to open in the background, behind a PDF in order to keep the reader at the PDF instead of instantly switching to their web browser?
This is used for a capabilities presentation, where we would like the view to continue reading the PDF but if they click links, the links will load in their browser where they can review them after finishing the PDF - instead of instantly being taken to the browser.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Go the the Applications -> Utilities folder. In there you will find the Disk Utility app. When you run that application, you can select your hard drive. Then click on the Fix Permssions button.

Acrobat Pro 9 Mac link

I'm looking for a direct link to download Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac.
I've purchased a new laptop and I have no disks for the software since I purchased only a code. According to the forums a download link should show up under "my orders", but this is not the case. I've also tried most google links available (usually windows vrs) and read every related post on this forum I could find. Adobe support won't let me chat with them to get a link without purchasing a support contract - just to download my own software.
I'm hoping that someone can direct me to that one mystery link I can't seem to find. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Acrobat Pro X Portfolio not opening proprerly.

I cant make or open a PDF Portfolio in acrobat Pro X. The link that pops up is for acrobat pro XI. Is there a different plugin for Pro X?

Acrobat Pro asks for serial number after update while being part of CS4 package

Hello, frustrating: I installed CS4 on a new Mac as the old one wasn't fast enough anymore. I deactivated the package (Master collection) on the old one, and activated it on the new one.
Everything works fine. Then there was Adobe updater, updating Acrobat pro. No problem.
But when it launches, it asks for a serial number. And my CS 4 number doesn't work on this. Weird, it seems the Acrobat pro isn't linked to the master collection anymore ? But we did nothing
with the software, just ran the update as suggested by Adobe updater.
PLEASE HELP! as we cannot use Acrobat Pro now and we need to use it!!!

Hi,
I suppose you have installed Creative Cloud Desktop App, or Latest Adobe Application Manager (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773).
You can also try following steps:
Launch the product
On Trial Screen click on License this software
On Sign in Screen, click on “Not My Adobe ID” (if displayed), else click on signin (do this even if it shows a valid ID).
Sign in with your Adobe Id
Software should now be lincensed.
Can you please share your adobeID and mail oobelib.log and amt3.log from %temp% on Windows, or /tmp in Mac, if it is still not working to [email protected]

Problem beim Einfügen von Wasserzeichen in Acrobat Pro 9.5.5

Hallo!
Ich denke, ich habe bei meinem Acrobat Pro 9.5.5 einen Bug entdeckt, aber vielleicht liegt es auch nur an irgendwelchen Einstellungen. Es geht um das Einfügen eines Wasserzeichens. Wenn ich den entsprechenden Eintrag im Menü "Dokument" anklicke und alle Eingaben vornehme, funktioniert das Ganze. Aber die Einstellungen und Parameter kann man ja auch abspeichern - und dann funktioniert das leider nicht mehr. Bei Einfügen eines Wasserzeichens mit Hilfe der gespeicherten Einstellungen werden nur manche dieser Einstellungen tatsächlich übernommen, für mich wichtige Parameter wie Schriftgröße des Wasserzeichens und die Positionierung leider nicht, sodass ich bei jedem Dokument die Einstellungen neu vornehmen müsste. Ist das ein Bug im Programm? Das wäre sehr, sehr ärgerlich, da ich dieses Feature unbedingt benötige!
Vielleicht könnte mal jemand, der diese Version noch nutzt, den Vorgang bei sich prüfen, ob das auch passiert. Oder vielleicht hatte schon einmal jemand das gleiche Problem? Der Adobe Support zeigt mir die lange Nase, mein Produkt ist zu alt für technischen Support, traurig!

so ganz verstehe ich die brachiale Weise nicht, mit der Sie die -auch an anderer Stelle- ungeliebte Methode der Verknüpfung von Betriebssystemerneuerung und Programm-Update verteidigen. Es gibt einige Programme, die -wenigstens dem Anschein nach- keine Probleme haben, von 32- auf 64-Bit umzusteigen. Sie werden sicher wissen, wie man das als Programmieren macht…
Unsereins kann sich nur mit „reichlich blöden“ Vergleichen beschäftigen und von selbst- (oder doch anderen?) ernannten Fachleute maßregeln lassen.
Bitte warten Sie nicht auf meine Wochenendprogrammierung, ich biete nichts in dieser Richtung zu Kauf an. Gleichwohl besten Dank für die ganz unverdiente Titulierung, ich arbeite daran…

Wie soll denn ein Programm kompatibel sein, dass Jahre vor dem Erscheinen des Betriebssystems entwickelt wurde. Ihr macht es Euch auch einfach. Einfach weil ihr glaubt, dass das Entwickeln von Programmen auf ein paar einfachen Formeln beruht, müssen die für alle zukünftigen Betriebssysteme funktionieren. Selbst für die damaligen Versionen brauchte man für Mac und Windows unterschiedliche Entwickllungen und der Sprung von einem 32 auf 64bit-System ist genauso ein großer Unterschied, zudem die Betriebssysteme selbst massiv verändert wurden. UNd der Vergleich mit dem Fahrrad und dem Reifenpatschen ist doch reichlich blöd.
Aber was, ihr seid ja die Genies, das Entwickeln von so Programmen ist ja ach so einfach, und das Testen auch. Ich mach Euch den Vorschlag, entwickelt am Wochenende schnell mal eine neue Version, am besten ein neues Progamm und bietet das auf eurer Homepage zum Verkauf an. Ich warte.

Acrobat Pro XI ohne LiveCycle Designer? Was mit bestehenden Formularen machen?

Hallo :-)
tja, ich habe seit gestern Acrobat Pro XI. Eigentlich war die Freude groß - bis zu dem Zeitpunkt, an dem ich gemerkt habe, dass ich nun keinen LiveCycle Designer mehr habe. WARUM? Da ich Cloud-Member bin, war bzw. bin ich der Meinung immer auf Letztstand zu sein?!?
Oder habe ich da das entscheidende verpasst, dass LC-Designer nicht mehr Zusatz vom Acrobat Pro ist?
Wenn nicht - was soll man dann mit den bereits bestehenden LC-Formularen machen, welche man wiederverwenden bzw. ändern muss? Sollen die jetzt dann alle neu gemacht werden??
Weiss einer von Euch Rat?

hatte heute einige Telefonate mit Adobe, die leider nicht ganz zielführend waren.
Anfangs hat es ja geheissen - werde Cloud-Mitglied, dann bist du immer auf Letztstand ..... ok .... LCD wurde aus Acrobat entfernt und man muss es nun extra kaufen ?!? Finde ich persönlich teilweise nachvollziehbar aber trotzdem schade :-)
Bei den heutigen Telefonaten hat es auch nur darauf gezielt - dass ich eine Stand-Alone-Acorbat Pro XI Version kaufe, dann bekomme ich den LCD ES3 kostenlos dazu - und das sei ein Schnäppchen.
SORRY LEUTE - ich bin Cloud-Mitglied - warum soll ich jetzt plözlich wieder anfangen Einzellösungen zu kaufen???
Die Frage ist nun -
1. wie stellt sich Adobe es vor, dass die Leute, welche bis jetzt mit LCD gearbeitet haben nun ihre Formulare bearbeiten sollen?
2. gibt es einen LINK zu einer LCD ES2.5 Version für die Leute, welche auch weiterhin mit dieser Version arbeiten wollen? - jeder der bis zum MO mit Acrobat Pro X gearbeitet hatte hatte ja diesen LCD

You can download the trial version (http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html) to convert the PDF back to WORD if you do not have the original. The conversion may not be perfect, but it is typically better than starting from scratch. You may be lucky and get a good result. You might check the settings (in the save screen) to try retain format versus retain text flow. The format version can be a pain to edit since it creates a bunch of text boxes. The flow version may require you to reformat in WORD, but you likely would want to do that anyway.

I am a little worried. If you are an existing subscriber why would Adobe need you to download... I wonder if the message is a fake.

How do I get pdfs to open in IE 9 from web links and not in Acrobat Pro 10.1.12

We are unable to open pdfs in IE9 browser for our users with Acrobat Pro 10.1.12 installed as these files open in AcrobatPro instead. Works fine for those users with Adobe Reader installed.
I have checked in IE that the add-ons are enabled (Adobe PDF, Adobe PDF Conversion Tool, SmartSelect Class, + Adobe Reader[via the Run without permission list] as per the link Acrobat Help | Display PDF in browser | Acrobat, Reader XI
OS is MS Windows 2008 Server R2 + Citrix.
NB Adobe Pro Preferences\Internet\Web Browser Options\Display PDF in browser is disabled to I can't change this.
Any help much appreciated.

You might need to refer this kB file and troubleshoot the same:

Also, you might go to registry (Wind+R->type regedit) and navigate to:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe
Then, please check that correct default data value is set to the path where Acrobat is installed.
The default installation value is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.1\Acrobat\AcroRd32.exe" (Check for your PC)

Acrobat Pro Extended - how can I add links to 3D-objects?

I'm using Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0 and I would like to attach links to different filetypes to a 3D-object in a 3D-PDF. I tried to use the link-tool but it seems like that only works for 2D-PDF. Also in the 3D-Reviewer I haven't found a way yet to make it work.

It's possible, but not in the simple tools-based way.
The "easiest" way is to add a Javascript to the 3D annotation which hooks the mouse event, scans the event.hits array and reacts based on the contents. If a mesh object is clicked the hits array will contain the mesh name in position 0 (then everything behind it in order). Your only issues arise when you want the "normal" clicking action to work as well (for selecting nodes, etc.), in which case you have to ensure your script passes the events about.
Many of the example files on the acrobatusers.com 3D gallery use that principle, and there are also some in the adobe.com section on 3D Javascript. The idea of a '3D linking tool' is a loooong way off - the way 3D is handled by Acrobat isn't set up to understand things at that level - the UI sees the 3D model as nothing but a black box that can be shouted at.

Hi, hope you can help me with this. I have down loaded the zip file and extracted the files and tried to reinstall. I have talked with eleventeen different tec's at adobe and the only postive feedback I get is Thank You for calling Adobe and can I do anything else to assist you, I've never been an angry person till now. One of the Adobe tec's had me download a cleaner and create a new user account on my computer. In the new user account I clicked on the C drive and unziped the Acrobat Pro 8. Still not working and receiving error message "A serious error has been detected and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional cannot continue. Please reinstall the application and try again." Adobe tells me that it should be working, but for a $39.00 charge they will get me up and running. I had no problems untill I uninstalled Acrobat 8 to try the free trial of Acrobat 9 and tried to reinstall Acrobate 8.

Linking multiple textboxes in a form Acrobat Pro 9?

Hi all,
I'm making an electronic form with Acrobat Pro 9.
The setup was made in Indesign CS3 after which the form boxes were detected by Acrobat Pro 9. There is a larger text area which consists of multiple lines of text (to be filled in by the user).
For this area there are 2 options:
1- Have multiple textboxes linked together so the text flows to the next box automatically when the current one is full.
or.
2- Have 1 multiline textbox with a larger linespacing.
The problem with 1 is, I can't seem to link multiple boxes together in Acrobat Pro 9. The problem with 2 is, I have no idea how to increase the linespacing.
Does anybody have any idea how to accomplish either 1 or 2?

Linking the text boxes is not really possible, at least in a seamless manner. I've seen a few approaches using JavaScript, but none that are very well implemented. My usual suggestion is to redesign the form to get rid of the lines and just use a single multiline text box, perhaps with a faint border to indicate to the user where the field is.
If you need the lines because the form might be printed and filled by hand or some other means, then you can set up the field with a bit of JavaScript to set the background color to white if the user enters any text, and transparent otherwise. That way, when the document is printed, the lines won't appear if any text is entered, but will if not. You will not need to be concerned about the line spacing of the field matching up with the lines.
