Acrobat pro won't take serial number

Bought a new computer. Technical service moved my programs over to new computer. Now Acrobat 9 Pro says my serial number is invalid.
I entered the serial number which is on my account at adobe and it tells me it's not good.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Could you please tell what OS do you work on ?
As your Acrobat is not accepting the serial number , I would recommend you to refer the following documents once and see if that fixes the issue for you .

    Go to http://www.adobe.com and sign-in with you Adobe ID ( on which you purchased the subscription).
    Then, on right hand side panel, click on 'Desktop' under Apps section. And then location Acrobat XI Pro and download it.

  • Aperture won't take serial number after transfer to new computer

    I used the Migration Assistant to move from an old computer to a new one.  Now Aperture asks for a serial number and it won't take the one I have.  It's the orginal number that came with the software.

    Pro Apps like Aperture don;' take to being installed that way. You'd be best to re-install it from the media you received it on (I'm assuming you didn't get it from the App Store as you mentioned a serial number).
    If you don;' have the original media you can download the trial version and use the serial number you have to authorize it.

  • Acrobat Pro 9: have upgrade serial number. Where can I find qualifying version serial number purchased in 2005?

    I purchased Acrobat 9 Pro many years ago. Apparently, this is considered an Upgrade. I do not have the original serial number for whatever product I had purchased in 2005.  Last year, Adobe provided me with a serial number. This year, the company will not. They can confirm that my 9 Pro is legitimate, but I guess they don't believe me when I tell them that I don't have the serial number for the product purchased in 2005.

    No one in these forums has the ability to provide you with a serial number - only Adobe Support can do that.  If your serial number from the last time they gave you one doesn't work then you have no choice but to try to get them to provide you one or find the original one that you should have retained from 2005.  While it might be hard to win any favor with customer support with your forum id as it is, if you are friendly with them they might be more willing to try to help.

    Please contact Customer Care at 8008336687 and they would be able to unlock the serial number for you.
    Since you said you owned a previous version and you lost the serial number, you can log on to your Adobe account online and check for purchased softwares.
    Else if the software was registered the support agent would be able to retrieve that information with the email used to register the software.

  • Autosave vault won't take serial number

    FCP 7 is second language to me after Avid.  Trying to access a backup of a project.  On opening, I get a box asking for name and serial number. Put it in, I get a message saying that the number is invalid, and then a crash message that Final Cut Express HD has crashed.  But it's an FCP7 project, trying to get it open in FCP7.  I notice all the project files are labeled Final Cut Express Files. I have deleted every Final Cut Express file and app I can find.  Help. 

    If you open fcp first and "open" the autosave file from the file menu does that work?

    There's a free trial.
    You might also make sure that the application associated with the project is correct.
    from the finder, select one project file in the autosave vault and hit command-i.  Make siure "open with" is set to Final Cut Pro.  if it isn't, change it and "change all."  You might want to back up the files before you do this.

So I go to apple/support  and find the repair link go to the next page to put in serial # but it say's serial doesn,t match and I know it's right reading right off the mouse.     I am trying to get acrobat x pro working on my computer.  It is installed as part of the Creative suties 6 design standard package.  When I go to launch it all i get is an endless look of the Adobe Software LIcnese agreement.  I click accept and it happens again.   I am running it on windows 7 64bit
    I have tried reinstalling
    I have tried using the trick of deactivating another program, then resigning in.
    I even have tired the adobe cleaner tool.nks
    Any thoughts?

    One of two things:
    1.  Go to the Terminal App and type the word "sudo" and hit the Enter/Return key.  If it comes back with a permissions error then seek from Apple to correct it.
    2.  If there is no permissions error in the Terminal app then go to the installation log at "/var/log/install.log" or "/private/var/log/install.log".  Open it up and see if you find an error about failing to write to the file:
    ./postinstall: Error in converting the plist /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist to xml1 format
    If you get the error above then delete the file at the location and try updating again

    With CS6 we used to ship Acrobat 10 and with Creative Cloud it's Acrobat 11.
    Have you installed both on the system?
    Which version of Acrobat and OS are you using?

    Yes, updates run each time I reinstall Bill.
    On one forum, it was suggested to download Adobe cleaner.  I ran it every time before reinstalling.  Adobe XI Pro works after that, but is so unstable.  Cant figure out what triggers it to stop launching.

    Please update all of your CS6 applications via the Adobe Application Manager. The updates contain a patch to prevent this issue from happening again.
