Acrobat Pro XI - can you apply digital certificate to certify Portfolio?

I used to be able to View-> Portfolio-> Cover Sheet and then certify the Portfolio with a digital ID. Now Acrobat hangs every time I try.
Adobe support team may be working on it but it's difficult to tell if they are actually paying attention.   A friend also tried it with same failed results.   Can anyone get it to work or am I the only person in the world using Digital Certs to sign PDF Portfolios?
Here's background info on how to do it: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/X/pro/using/WS396794562021d52e-7abb39ef12b34b0e1cd-800 0.html
Acrobat Pro XI Version 11.0.07 on Windows 7

In case anyone is interested, you can go back to Acrobat Pro 11.0.06 and it works again.  The official Adobe bug number is 3789347.   Adobe has no estimate for fix.

  • Applying Digital certificates on EP 7

    Hi SDN,
Currently we are running EP 7 in which we have applied SSL. We want to apply digital certificates for the transaction happening between the end user and the portal. Kindly share SAP document to implement the same.
Let me know if digital certificates can be applied on a user specific mode...
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hello Amit,
The portal runs on the J2EE Engine, so you have to configure the use of client certificates there. There is a step-by-step procedure in the documentation. See: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/62/881e3e3986f701e10000000a114084/frameset.htm

  • Can you apply the Rotate Spreads Feature?

    Hello,
    Hope someone can help me...
In Indesign CS5 you can rotate the spreads and this then gives you the arrow icon next to the spread to indicate that it's a rotated view; what i'm trying to do is apply that rotated spread so it's not just the view, it is actually how the document is - is this possible? and if so how??
(what i'm trying to do is turn the last 100pages (50 spreads) of a 200page book upside down without having to re-layout all the artwork etc)
    Hope someone can help?!
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Thanks for the info - my plan (for this one) is to order the pages as needed and rotate afterwards in acrobat; it's what i was going to do before i thought, can you apply rotations!? It isn't ideal as there's a slight offset needed for the bleeds and alignment so the hanging points etc will differ in the 2 setions (it won't really be noticeable but I'm one of those fussy designers!) and i was going to use it as a template for some other work I'm doing but it's no problem - just wont change my mind next time. It was more a question of can it be done as I think it'd be useful.
    Thanks for all the advice

  • Can you stitch digital TIFFs taken from all sides of the object into a 3D image in CS-6

Can you stitch digital TIFFs taken from all sides of the object into a 3d image in CS-6

It depends on the object. The mesh must have surfaces (texture names) for each side of that object. Then an image can be applied to each side.
Photoshop currently lacks a way to select a side and give it a name.
You may want to try a program like blender to assign surfaces to a mesh. It is a very robust and daunting program, but its free and if you have the time maybe worth your while to learn it.

I have paid my subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro but can not install it… I always get an error message …also I did not receive any instalation code...

With the subscription you sign in with your Adobe ID that you used to order the subscription. By installation code, I assume you mean serial number. You do not get one with the subscription, but use your Adobe ID.

I have a monthly subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro.  Can I load it on both my desktop and laptop?

    Hi glennm98649874,
Absolutely yes! You can install your Acrobat subscription on up to two computers like your desktop & laptop.
Install Acrobat and use the same Adobe ID credentials to activate the software on both the machines.
Try and let me know if you need further help.

  • Regarding receiving texts as emails:  Can you apply this setting to one individual? I want to continue to receive texts from everyone else except one person!

Regarding receiving texts as emails:  Can you apply this setting to one individual? I want to continue to receive texts from everyone else except one person!

Don't want to block the person, just have all his texts going directly to my email so that I can maintain a continuous record of his text contacts (rather than remain in text form).
It appears that I must select an option that makes ALL texts go to email, which I'd prefer not doing.

  • How does QuickTime 10 go to pro? Can you uninstall it and put QuickTime 7 in it's place?

You can't upgrade QuickTime 10 to pro (yet). Can you uninstall 10 and install QuickTime 7 in OSX 10.6.8 so it can be upgraded to pro?

Can you uninstall 10 and install QuickTime 7 in OSX 10.6.8 so it can be upgraded to pro?
You could, but why bother? QT X and QT 7 Pro can both simultaneously co-exist under Snow Leopard OS.  Simply install QT 7.6.6 for OS 10.6.3 and later which is available HERE.

  • Acrobat Pro 10 Actions Not Applying Fast Web View

Acrobat Pro 10 actions are pretty useful overall, however they are not applying Fast Web View all the time. In my opinion, all PDFs generated today should be Fast Web View by default, but among the many applications which allow for PDF creation, not all apply Fast Web View for some reason.
I did see http://forums.adobe.com/message/3335827for a potential band-aid fix. Unfortunately, it did not work for me.
Here is the text from my Action sequence file:
    <</Commands [/c << /0 [/c <<  /Config [/c <<   /UIPolicy [/i 3]

As you can see, the "/OptimizePDF [/b true]" is set per the instructions in the aforementioned link. It still does not set Fast Web View all the time. I ran a test of the action on a batch of 10 PDFs, some were set to Fast Web View and some were not. While one of the PDFs that was not set to Fast Web View was open in Acrobat, I ran the same Action again and it did apply Fast Web View! I even installed the latest patch hoping that would fix it, but unfortunately it did not. Distiller does in fact set Fast Web View, but it won't work on PDFs. The only way I can find to guarantee the establishment of Fast Web View is to manually do a Save As on every file which I think is asking a bit much when you deal with hundreds of PDFs on any given day. Also that would effectively defeat the purpose of running an Action on hundreds of PDFs in the first place.
    Any ideas?

There is a bug because of which fast web view is always disabled. While that is fixed, here the workaround. Save the action and open the .sequ file in Notepad. Change:
                    /OptimizePDF [/b false]
    to
                    /OptimizePDF [/b true]

  • I have a license to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - can I use it in the mobile app?

    Hi!
I recently bought the license to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for my computer and now I want to extend my possibilites with the mobile app. Is it possible in some way to use the bought license in the mobile app? Because I'm requested to buy additional packages when I for example wants to export a pdf?
    Thanks!
    Mikael Damar

    Hi Mikael,
I am can understand your concern & will guide you in the right direction. Can please let me know if you have a subscription for Adobe Acrobat DC Pro or its a Perpetual licence?
As with perpetual licence you won't be able to use the extended functionality on the mobile app. by using the same licence and it will prompt you for the additional package. However if its a subscription you just need to simply Sign In to the mobile app. using your Adobe ID with which you serialized the Acrobat DC Pro on the computer to use these functionality.

  • In Acrobat Pro XI, can I limit the form I created to "fill in and print," with no saving or signing?

I created a fillable form from a word doc using Acrobat Pro XI.
When I look at the form in Acrobat Pro, I see the following at the top of the form:
If I look at the form on a computer running just Adobe Reader, this is what displays at the top:
I just want users to fill out and print this form.  The instruction that Adobe Reader is giving is confusing.  Can I modify those instructions, or change the file properties of my form somehow to limit to "fill out and print?"
I don't recall encountering this before in earlier versions of Acrobat.

Finally figured it out -- if I view the form directly in Adobe Reader (over our network), I see the confusing message about "Click 'Sign' to fill out..."
BUT, if I open the form within a web browser (IE, Firefox, etc.), I see the usual message: "Please fill out the following form. You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print..."
It is doing what I expected; I just wasn't viewing it in the usual manner.  Users will be seeing this form via a web browser, so problem solved.

  • Reinstall Acrobat Pro 7 - can't install updates past 7.0.5

Upgraded to OS 10.5 (PPC Mac - last operating system) and had to reinstall Acrobat Pro 7 from CD as "components were missing". Adobe Updater worked through 7.0.5 Update, now refuses to add any further updates. Tried manual updating, but the 7.0.7 updater says "An invalid application was selected" when I try to select the copy of Acrobat Pro 7.0.5. The 7.1.3 "all" updater, as well as all those between 7/0/7 and it,  tells me "The selected application version is outside the range that can be updated with this installer".
    Suggestions?
    Rick

When I was installing, I received a message saying,
"Error 1310. Error writing to file C:\Program Files (X86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\adistres.dll.  Verify that you have access to that directory."
Then it had a button for retry and when I hit it, it finished installing without any more errors.  My UAC always asks me to allow programs to make changes to the computer and when I allow, it's always fine.  I actually like this for added security.  I've never had an issue with any other program.
