Acrobat Pro XI loading slow

Acrobat Pro XI takes 20-30 seconds to load a pdf.  We are running Creative Cloud on 5 computers.  Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.  This is only an issue on 1 computer.  Everything is up to date on the computer and I have repaired the installation.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey,
Do you have access to the internet?
You might visit Adobe website and download Acrobat pro on your system.
Then, you can use your serial number for activating the software.

  • I have an mac pro that loads slow, zynga games won't load completely!

I need some guidance!!! My macbook pro 13" from summer 2010 is running slow/loading very slow or stops loading in middle of use! especially my zynga.com games {farmville2 etc.}! video slots are stopping with errors! saying connection was interupted yet wifi is still in tact!! and strong!!! HELP I MISS MY GAMES!

I play games on facebook as well mostly multi-player realtime stradgey games. Here are some questions I ask the people I play with when they have problems:
1).  If you leave your computer running when was the last time you rebooted?
2). Have you cleared your history and your cache lately?
3). When was the last time you ran antivirus and your cleaner?
4). Check your flash player and java and see if it needs updated or repaired.
5). Check your browser for updates.
One of those usually fixes the problem. Hope it helps....

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

  • Acrobat Pro CS6 onn OSX scroll speed

    Hi all,
This is a strange one... I installed CS6 on my Macbook Pro, updating from CS5.5.
All is ok except for one weird issue.
Scrolling up and down PDF files in Acrobat Pro is super slow. Like mollases. It's very annoying.
I have always assumed scroll speed to be a system level setting, and all my other programs, including the other CS6 installs, are scrolling at my system-set speed.
I looked in Acrobat Pro to see if there is an application-specific setting to no avail.
Does anyone one know what might be happening and what I can do to fix it? Perhaps I'm missing something simple (I hope...)
    Thanks!
    Scott

OS 10.5, Apple wireless mouse. No issues in any other prgrams. But I did discover changing the view setting for the PDF remedies the issue. Why would I have to do that to scroll at my set speed? Strange...

  • Acrobat Pro 9 Very very slow to open and close file

Hi all. I have several pc where they are praticly identical. I got one pc qhere acrobat 9 pro where installed and when I try to open a pdf it get too much time.
I already reinstalled it and no effect. When I open a pdf it get 40 - 50 % of cpu and 50 - 60 mo in the ram ( normal usage i guess ). Nothing was running in the same time.
To open a pdf it can take up 30 sec ( realy too long for a simple one page pdf ).
    I'm running on windows xp ( P 4 3.2 ghz with 2 gig of ram )
I have no other idea what to try next ...
    Ty for your help

    >>> Have you checked the size of your organizer90 file in the user's profile?  That causes issues for us, at least when closing files.
This was the answer for me. I went to C:\Documents and Settings\MyName\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0 and deleted Organzer90.  It was 29 MB!  Then I opened an Acrobat document, and then closed it.  (This action recreated a new Organizer90 file (9KB)
Now each time I open an Acrobat document they load and close much more quickly.
The Organizer90 file seems to be a SQLLite file that tracks a long history of every PDF I've viewed over time.  I'm not sure what it is used for, but I'm happy to trade it for faster closing PDF files.
    Hope this helps others...

It?s a breeze to reuse what you need from PDF files with Acrobat XI.
When you need to grab important content from inside a PDF or reuse the
whole thing, Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) XI software makes it easy to convert
PDF documents to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint?with no
    retyping and minimal reformatting.
As simply as saving a file, you can get just what you need and get

  • My licensed copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 will not load

My licensed copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 will not load - the disk just isn't recognized by our drives any longer. How do I get a replacement disk?  BTW - Adobe support seems to be the worst I've ever experienced from any single company. I am getting no where! It took me forever to find this forum and I am not expecting any results.  Is there a competitor for Adobe Acrobat 9.0?  I need to convert documents to PDF, combine pages, etc.... We are paperless and need these functions.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro X - plug-ins not loaded

I recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro for our company with multiple user licences.  Once installed I noticed a lot of features which were in previous versions are not available.  When I select the “Help” “About Adobe Plug-ins...” tab, almost all of the plug-ins are not loaded. Is this right and if not, how do I fix it. After reading numerous blogs I still do not have an answer – most refer to 3rd party plug-ins but not to this problem. NB: I am not an IT expert, but can help myself fairly well on software. Using Windows 7. Uninstalled Google Chrome as someone suggested it affects the plug-ins (which also did not solve the problem!)

    It's working correctly.
The Help > About Adobe Plug-ins dialog shows the status of dynamic extensions which ship with Acrobat - not third-party plugins you may have installed yourself. These core extensions are loaded on demand, so if you don't have a document open, very few of them will be loaded. It's why the dialog bothers to tell you their status in the first place.
Third-party plugins need to be reinstalled if you upgrade to Acrobat X, as the installation folder is different. Some that were written for previous versions won't work with Acrobat X, especially if they're not designed to cope with the Tools Pane or Protected View in 10.1, but they will not appear on that dialog - they appear on the next menu item down, "About Third-Party Plug-ins".
The UI in Acrobat X is radically different from previous versions, but very few features are actually missing - what are you looking for that you can't find?

  • Need Help: Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Slow Performance on MacPro

We installed Adobe Acrobat pro as part of Design premium on MACPRO twelve Core 2.93 with 10GB Memory and 27inch Display running OS 10.8.4
We opened high resolution pdf file 170MB with 330pages with 300% Zoom, when we scrolled trough the pages, the respond is very slow and sluggish. We Zoom in to 100%, scrolling still sluggish.
We try to reseat the memory, repair permission,  reset PRAM and the problem still the same.
    Can you help me?

In all truth 170mb is pretty big for a PDF. Even with a rockin' setup like that, it's about the equivalent of 30 copies of Atlas Shrugged (891 pages). Being high res, and that size, it's not a "quick" file. My mini has 4Gb and a Core i5, I'm pretty sure it would drag on it.

  • Acrobat Pro 9.4 - Edit Preferences - Failed to Load Application Resource

I have tried all types of searches and can't seem to nail down an answer to this issue. I am currently running Acrobat Pro 9.4.2 in Windows 7 - 64bit.
I can't pinpoint exactly when this issue started, but I am unable to access the Preferences from the Edit menu ... It displays the error message - "Failed to load an application resource (internal error)."  The program does not crash, but I think that I am starting to recognize various functions that aren't working exactly as I expect .... although I am not certain they are related to this error.
This has just escalated to an Urgent issue for me to resolve ASAP. Any help/advice/solutions would be very much appreciated!!
    Thank You!
    -SMP

It may partly be a 64-bit issue since AA is apparently a 32-bit application that can run in the 64-bit environment (not that familiar with 64-bit systems, so I may not be stating it correctly. However, I would start by going to the Control Panel>Programs and Features and do a repair on your Acrobat installation. That will hopefully resolve the issue.

  • Acrobat Pro 9: PDF Optimizer module refuses to load...

Okay, I have a weird one...
Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.06 - The PDF Optimizer module just decided to stop loading yesterday. You poll the menu item and the window does not appear.
So I followed the usual protocols:
    I restarted - nothing.
    I ran a privilege fix - nothing.
I ran a deeper privilege fix and a drive diagnostic - nothing.
I logged in with a new account - Acrobat's PDF Optimizer module worked - so it must be preference corruption.
I reinstalled the application from the original media and updated it to 9.1 - still no PDF Optimizer.
So... the answer is preference corruption. But the question is, which preferences am I safe to delete?
I really don't fancy killing my suite and having to reinstall everything over again, so if I could pinpoint which prefs to kill to just affect Acrobat it would save me some time and stress...
    Does anyone know?

The generic Acrobat forum wasn't an option when I had to select which community I was allowed to publish the question to... That was my first option.

  • Editting PDF documents that were created by a MAC doesn't work because of font incompatability.  How can we get MAC fonts and load in our Adobe Acrobat Pro 9?

Editting PDF documents that were created by a MAC doesn't work because of font incompatability.  How can we get MAC fonts and load in our Adobe Acrobat Pro 9?

If it's a Mac font and you're on Windows, you can't. If you are also on a Mac, you'll need to purchase the fonts (fonts are generally non-transferable, like software. One of the reasons pdf exists), install them and try your edits.
But it's best to edit the original document and create a new pdf when finished.
