Acrobat Pro XI trial destroyed Acrobat Pro X

I downloaded the trail Acrobat Pro XI and it deleted by Acrobat Pro X. Due to company restrictions, I cannot purchase XI yet but need by X back after the trial ends. How do I get Acrobat X back when it's no longer available for download?

  • Acrobat XI trial destroys Acrobat X ~~ Delhi cannot help

    Working with Delhi is frustrating.
They do not make good notes about a case.
They have a few "procedures" which do not work.
    I own CS6 Master.
    Windows 7 professional
CS6, all apps were fine until ....
Acrobat XI installed itself without my permission.
    How is this possible?
Then found that X was destroyed.
    Needed a call to Delhi.
I believe they may have used the wrong (standalone) tool to uninstall.
Now, Acrobat X cannot be uninstalled.
    Also cannot be reinstalled.
X thinks it is a trial version.
Asks me over and over to give my serial number - which it says is invalid.
Delhi says oh it's easy just reinstall the whole of CS6.
During six unsatisfactory calls the "support person" is always different.
Each man has no previous knowledge of the problem.
The notes about the case are poor so he thinks it is a simple issue.
Then he expresses a varition of Let's start at the very beginning (Sound of Music), wants to take control of my computer but gets nowhere.
How I hope that there's someone in this community who has more knowledge that Delhi.

It may be that you have to follow some of the crazy procedures often stated for CS to install Acrobat. As I recall, it is suggested that you open one of the other parts of CS and then activate Acrobat. I suspect more information may be available on the CS forum. It puzzles me that you had the trial version install without your request (there are a lot of steps to try to install AA XI and it is hard to imagine). As far as getting rid of it, you can run the cleaner (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html), be sure the Acrobat folder is deleted, and reboot. However, you still will need to deal with the AA X installation and that is a bit different for the CS systems. There are several topics here about Acrobat and CS, and probably in the CS forum also. Good luck.

  • I can no longer open any PDF after my trial of Acrobat XI Pro finished...Help

I can no longer open any PDF after my trial of Acrobat XI Pro finished...Help

I would try using this tool to first remove all traces of Acrobat from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

  • Why can't I download trial for Acrobat Pro on my Mac?

Why can't I download trial for Acrobat Pro on my Mac?  I get an error message.  I click the download:  "Install Adobe Download Assistant", then click on it, see Adobe AIR application instaler, then get "Sorry, and error has occurred.  This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."   If I knew who the application author was, I'd contact him!  Thanks, Pete

    Hey PetaPete,
There are some known issues when downloading Adobe Download Assistant which you can find at:
    Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant
So, you might alternatively need to try downloading Acrobat from the link given below:
    http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-xi-pro-standard-reader-direct-download-links.html
    Note:
    1) You need to stay on the Adobe trial page for the respective product that you're downloading. You should be signed in.
    2) Copy/ Paste trial link for the files that you're downloading from Prodesigntools on to the address bar of Adobe trial page and hit enter.

  • Issue during installation of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended trial version

    Hello,
I have a problem during the installation of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended trial version. I downloaded the version from the Adobe website (so I have donwloaded APEX9_Win_WEB_WWEFG.exe and APEX9_Win_WEB_WWEFG.7z files).
After that I copied the files to another computer (a virtual machine to be more precise). I launched the exe file and all seems ok. At the end of the extraction I have this message : "An error occurs during the extraction of some files. Check the disk space and the access rigths of the folders". It is a translation of the french message because I tried with the english and the french trial version (both not working).
Does somebody already has this problem during the installation of a trial version?
    Thanks in advance,

I cannot speak for the trial or Vista, but Pro 9 Extended works well
    with XP SP3 under Parallels.

  • I just installed the free trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it is not allowing me to freely convert a pdf to a word document????!!!!

I just installed the free trial Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and it is not allowing me to freely convert a pdf to a word document????!!!! Why is this? Does anyone have this problem?

When you report a problem you should always try to include as much relevant information as possible. Saying "it doesn't work, help me!" is not very helpful to us, because there could be a million reasons for it not working... What exactly happens when you try to convert a PDF to Word? Are there any error messages? How exactly are you trying to do it? Also, what operating system do you use? What version of Word? What exactly version of Acrobat? etc.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI Pro free trial won't launch, claiming no Internet connection

    Hi,
I wondered if anyone could help me solve this mystery: I am trying to launch the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro free trial. Sign In is required to use the trial. But when I click on "Sign in now", I get the message "Please connect to the Internet and retry". Which is strange, because  my Internet connection is active and stable. The same panel hints that my clock might be at fault (but it is correct). I am running Windows 7, no earlier version of Adobe Acrobat installed. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have on how I can resolve this riddle.
    Thanks in advance,
    Andreas

    Hi SumitV,
Thank you for answering and suggesting ways to remedy my problem. I tried all the four actions you made me aware of, but although everything seems to be all right, I still cannot launch Acrobat XI in the trial version. The only little hickup came when accessing Adobe's secure site, which prompted this message:
But when I later checked the certificate, it seemed to be installed and enabled. I am no expert, but it looked like it should according to step 4 under http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-i ssues.html

  • I have Adobe Acrobat XI standard, but would like to trial the "compare documents" feature on Pro. I tried to download a trial version of Pro, but the installer indicated that "it detected a more fully featured version of the product" - presumably my stand

Okay - just realised that the last screen was just asking for a "title" for my question!
I have Adobe Acrobat XI standard, but would like to trial the "compare documents" feature on Pro. I tried to download a trial version of Pro, but the installer indicated that "it detected a more fully featured version of the product" - presumably my standard version? - and stopped installation. It is not clear to me what my options are for either upgrading to Pro, or selectively purchasing the "compare documents" plugin (if possible). I am using what is presumably an Enterprise version of acrobat (i.e. my employer owns it, not me) - so not sure what limitations that results in. I think this is a simple question, but would be grateful for advice.

    - You can't install Acrobat Pro alongside Acrobat Standard. You will need to remove Standard to be able to install Pro.
    - You (probably) can't upgrade your license if it's a part of an enterprise license. The entire license will need to be upgraded.
    - It's not possible to install just the "Compare Documents" function as a sort of add-on to Acrobat Standard.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro XI trial install failure

I have tried several times to install the trial of Acrobat Pro XI. Each time, after the Download Assistant downloads the Installer, I run the installer, and receive two error messages.
First: "The installation cannot proceed, because some of the processes are running."
After clicking "OK", the window beneath reveals this error message:
So, as advised, I am contacting the software manufacturer for assistance. Odd that Adobe is not even aware that the "software manufacturer" is Adobe, don't you think?
Also, I can't read the entire first line of the last error message. "There were errors in the installation. You may want to try i…" is all that's there.
    My details:
    Mac OS X 10.9.5
    MacBookPro 13" 2014
I just wanted to see if the latest version of Acrobat improves on the resolution problems associated with reading PDFs with the high-resolution Retina display. Acrobat Pro X displays all text quite choppy, even if I set the preferences to use System Settings.
Any ideas how I can complete the installation?
    CP

No. This is interesting, but not helpful.
The link seems to discuss problems with the Download Assistant itself. Strange, too, that all the links to "helpful" information are concerned with the Creative Suite. This is confusing.
My problem is with the installation of Acrobat Pro XI. All the steps complete, except for the final moments of the installation. There is no information regarding the error message I am seeing.
Adobe's "Help" website is legendary for its poor navigability. I just end up going in circles.

  • Error 1061 when downloading free trial of Acrobat XI Pro

I am attempting to download a free trial of Acrobat XI Pro on a PC running Windows 8.  While downloading, I receive an error message of "Windows Search Error 1061:  The service cannot accept control messages at this time."  I have tried stopping the Windows Search service through the admin services in my Control Panel but receive a similar message (or one indicating that other services dependant upon Windows Search are running).  Can I "ignore" this error and continue to succesfully download the trial version?  Or, is there a way to stop this service until the download is completed?  I am not an IT professional, so any advice is appreciated.

Don't know, but I would suggest to just try ignoring it and seeing if you get a successful download. Of course, when you install you need to be logged in as the administrator and disable anti-virus. An online search for the error suggests the problem is a WIndows configuration issue. The one site I found had a fix tool, but I do not generally recommend downloading such fix files. Another site suggests a corrupt registry.
You might try the CCleaner tool to see if that can help with the registry. However, I would just continue with the download if you can and see if it works.

  • Having install issue: acrobat pro xi (trial)

I keep having problems installing acrobat pro xi trial version. Initially the error code I got was Error 16...after numerous re-install attempts the installation is interrupted and I am forced to hit "Finished" to exit from the install window.  If I try to re-install the same thing will happen.
I have gone through the folder setting options and rebooted only to encounter the same issue over and over. Working on windows xp.
I want to try the acrobat cleaner: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
but I'm nervous that it will delete other Adobe software installs(CS4) on my computer.
    Is there any hope?

    Hi Monica,
    I'd like to assist!
Error 16 ususally comes up due to insufficient user permissions.
Please follow the steps mentioned in the KB : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error- cs5.html
Let me know if this helped!
    Kind regards, Stacy
