Acrobat Reader 4.0 for Mac I'm italian

I'm Italian and a write here because i have a problem with acrobat reader 4.0
i have a Apple Imac and the system Mac Os X 10.3.9, anytime when i receive a file pdf i visualize the picture but i don't visualize the text because the types are indecipherable, while often i haven't problem and visualize correctly the files pdf, i ask you if any person can to solve this problem; i hope that you understand but my english is not very good.
Thank You
Bye
Simo

Unfortunately, I don't know where to get the Italian version. Sorry.
I would go to the Italian Adobe website and look for the Reader download area there. If it works like the English site, you'll enter in your OS version and it will offer you the latest version of Reader that you can run.
Good luck.

downloaded acrobat reader 11 onto my Mac Book Pro, it can open the file but will not print. Get a message that says PDF cannot be printed, however, I forwarded it to someone else and they could print it, no problem. I called HP and spent an 1hour with them and then called Apple support and worked with them for 3 hours. No one can figure it out. Is there something wrong with this version? the pdf was created in 2004. Do I have to pay to get Acrobat?

Let me give you a slightly different perspective than everyone else here.  You are using an unsecured wireless network, which means that all your network traffic is easily available for viewing by anyone else using that network.  That's bad.  Very bad, for you, unless you absolutely trust everyone who lives within range of this network.  So stop doing it.
As to the Mac not connecting, wireless networking is simply too complex for any reasonable answer without more information.  There are many possible error points, and as often as not it's the Mac that can connect and the Windows PC that cannot.  Since you can't give us any information about the configuration of the neighbor's network, and can't make any changes to it, we can't do much to help you troubleshoot it.

  • Printing Problems with Acrobat Pro 9.5 for Mac

I have Acrobat pro 9.5 for Mac.  I'm using a Canon MG8150 multi-function printer.  Everytime I try to print from Arobat Pro I get an error message.  Any suggestions?  I can print my pdfs from Apple Preview; so it's not the document or the printer.

The first problem is probably a permissions issue. Run Repair Permissions from the Disk Utility. For the second see this
Announcement: Known Acrobat Issues under Snow Leopard

    (1) The Adobe PDF Printer module does not work under OS X.6. Please see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/509/cpsid_50981.html to find out how to create Adobe Quality PDFs under Snow Leopard.
    (2) Opening files from the finder, including files authored by Adobe applications, may not open them in the original authoring application. Omitting a file extension from the file name will increase the likelihood of this happening. See http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/511/cpsid_51110.html for more information.

  • Has anyone managed to deploy Acrobat Pro 9.0 for Mac through ARD?

Has anyone managed to get Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 for Mac to deploy with any level of reliability through tools such as Apple Remote Desktop?
The main CS3 apps are "better", if still kludgy to deploy somewhat silently, but every time I've tried to get Acrobat Pro 9.0 to deploy, it steadfastly refuses to do so without demanding admin access on at least the first launch, and insisting on running the Updater in the process, which is completely unacceptable.
I should say that I've looked at their Adobe Acrobat deployment site (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/solutions/it/), and it's entirely useless for the Mac version.
Why do Adobe make this so hard?

Okay, I think I've figured this out.
    * On a clean machine (ie: no Adobe software), install Adobe Acrobat Pro
    * Run Acrobat. Insert license code. Allow it to "selfheal". Quit.
    * Run Distiller. Allow it to "selfheal". Quit.
    * Edit AcroEFGPro90.plist and AcroEFGDist90.plist which can be found in Contents > MacOS within the Acrobat and Distiller apps respectively.
    * Change the "Requires" tags from "YES" to "NO" for all the file resources.
    * Copy these to plist files into /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/ and overwrite the ones that are already there.
    * Run Acrobat and Distiller again. Allow "selfheal" if prompted. Quit.
    * Run again. Quit.
    * Build a Mac OS X installer package of the following:
    /Applications/Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0
    /Applications/Utilites/Adobe Utilities
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/
    /Library/Application Support/FLEXnet*
    /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.*
    /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet*
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins/AdobePDFViewer.plugin
    /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/
    /Library/Printers/PPD Plugins/Adobe*
    /Library/Printers/PPDs/.../.../.../ADPDF9.PPD (one per language)
    /Users/Shared/Adobe
    /usr/libexec/cups/backend/pdf900
    * After you've built the package, go through the Acrobat application bundle and find cupshup.pl. Copy it into the Resources folder of the installer package, and rename it to "postflight" (this gets the installer to configure the PDF printer).
    * Distribute through ARD.
    * Grab com.adobe.* from ~/Library/Preferences
    * Distribute the com.adobe.* files to all users; the .plist files can be done through Workgroup Manager, however com.adobe.118.registration must be copied as-is into the user folder, rather than being injected via MCX or the defaults command or any other method, as it's not a plist.
    Dear Adobe,
    MAKE THIS SIMPLER.
    Your Friend,
    etc...

  • Do you have an installer for Acrobat 6.0 Standard for Mac???

Please help me!  Can you send me an installer for Acrobat 6.0 Standard for Mac???  The Acrobat Customer Service "help" says this is the only way I can get my Acrobat going again.  It won't bother YOUR installer to share it with me.....and I must use MY OWN SERIAL NUMBERS to connect with them, so they say there's no way it could hurt you......but it would really help me!
I reinstalled my system software, and my Acrobat got corrupted in some way which will not let it communicate properly with Adobe.  I cannot upgrade because this is the only version compatible with my other software.  Please help, and send me the installer so I can get working again.  I'm grateful for anyone who can help.  Thanks, Jane.

I'm sorry you distrust me and the person from Acrobat.   He does not
usually work on the Forum, and was trying to help me as Adobe thinks this is my
only solution.   One of the other Acrobat customer service people had
suggested it, and someone had replied that perhaps he could help.   I guess you
misunderstood his posting because he was not trying to say my software had been
"trial" , he was using that as an example.   I bought, own, and have been
using my copy of Acrobat 6.0.4 since I bought it directly from Adobe in
2004........I had something happen with my operating system, and now I need to
reinstall it, but Adobe erases the installers from people's systems after 3
years.   It was the Adobe Customer Service Techie help line that suggested this
"solution".   I have my own serial number etc.......it just won't connect
to Adobe without some teensy missing part of something from the installer
software.   The only "standard" versions I see out there for sale, are for PC,
not Mac.   If you know of something else, I'd be grateful for the info.
    Thanks for your interest.   Jane.

Nice try, but I'm not stupid seeing how that was your first post, and I
would expect an employee working the forum to have a lot more posts than
that.  Also, the Acrobat 6 installer was never done as trial software.  That
option only came about with later software as is done currently.  You do
need a serial number to install it or it will not install anything.  If you
need the installer so badly, you can get it at Amazon: http
    ://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Acrobat-6-0-Standard-VERSION/dp/B00008ZGRY
There are used copies being sold starting at $19.99, just follow the link

I downloaded the Adobe Acrobat Pro XI Trial for Mac on my MacBook Air.  I decided it was not worth the money to purchase.  How do I get rid of it?  It has expired, but now I cannot open my regular Adobe Reader?

  • Adobe Acrobat 10.1.10 for MAC, gray pages

I am using Adobe Acrobat 10.1.10 for Mac. When I open a PDF, I see nothing but gray on each page of the PDF. In the Quick Look the pages are there. Please advise.

This is usually because the pages contain image only data that is at a lower resolution than Adobe Acrobat will display.  Open the PDF file in Mac OS X Preview, which should also display the PDF content and then go to File>Export as PDF.  Name the file as a different name and then open it in Acrobat.  The graphic content should now display.

It's a 3rd party app.  You really should contact Adobe Support and/or post in the Adobe Forums
    Mac OS X (10.6.6)
Use Software Update or the OS 10.6.8 combo update to update your OS.  Also, update everything SU has to offer for your computer.  When done, repair permissions and restart your computer.

I have had to erase my disk since then with trouble with Apple Store not recognising my machine and the reload from Time Machine has given complications . Can you please cancel my trial and return my Trial money.

If you paid for what you used then it was not a trial.

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.05 for Palm OS

I'm attempting to install Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.05 for Palm OS on Microsoft Vista. I have already installed Palm Desktop for Windows 6.2. However, I consistently receive an error dialog box that says I must install Palm Desktop 4.0 or later; after which the install terminates. I'm using a Palm T|X device. I've updated all other software as is available on the Palm support site. Does anyone have a solution for me. Is there a way to extract the .prc from the Adobe installation file? Do to my running Vista, I cannot install an older version of Palm Desktop. Any ideas?

If anyone ever figures out to maximize the screen on the T/X, please email me.  I don't have a lot of time to keep checking back to this forum.  I will send a check for $20 to your favorite charity to anyone who figures this out and sends me an email to me at [email protected]
    THANKS!!!

  • Acrobat Pro 9 Updates for Mac

    Hello,
where can i download the updates from Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac? I purchased the software a few years ago and ha dot reinstall it. It was possible for me to download the main program, but i can not find the updates up to version 9.5.5. I would need all updates.
Since the updates are not available from your site anymore, is it possible to give me a download link for that?
    Thank you
    Kai

I am happy to find this posting as I too am reinstalling and the installer came without Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - which was originally included with the CS5 Web Design suite. I found the FTP site and tried downloading a few but they all seem to be patch installer and not Acrobat 9. Can anyone specify the exact URL for the right file?
NEED THE MAC VERSION. This ongoing thread has a lot of people suggesting how to get a windows version.

  • Adobe Reader Silent Install for Mac OS X

Is there a silent install package available for Mac OS X? The "enterprise" site seems to provide the same installer file as the normal site. We need to distribute Adobe Reader across ~600 machines, but the first time you open Reader it prompts users with a license agreement and then asks for administrative privileges. Even worse, it doesn't seem to install the Adobe Reader plugin until after that occurs.
Also, is it possible to get an installer package that leaves out AIR, Acrobat.com and Adobe Updater?

I know nothing about Mac OS, but perhaps you can find some information in
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/deploying_reader9.pdf

  • Where is the Acrobat Pro X trial for Mac OSX?

    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro
On the page to choose the trial I only get the option for windows, in 4 languages, but no mac option at all.
Furthermore there is no option to try and download the trial for Acrobat 9.

I see this in the small print:
*Acrobat X Pro is available as a software trial for Windows® users only. A trial version of Acrobat X Pro for Mac OS is currently not available. However, the full version of Acrobat X Pro for Mac OS is available for purchase.
So how do we get a trial version of an old version?

IE uses a different version of Flash (ActiveX) than other browsers use (Plugin version), you need to install the correct version of Flash for Firefox.
