Acrobat Reader a necessity, but not available?

As a paying member of Creative Cloud, I expected to have a full version of Acrobat Reader available to me. Because I run Vista, Acrobat XI (and no other version for that matter) is listed on my AAM. Following the advice of another thread, I installed the trial version (it runs fine on Vista, it's just not supported) and now discover the trial version is not able to be converted and the only way to get a full version of Acrobat is by downloading through AAM, which again--is not available to me. I purchased this membership in order to grow my business, not stall it and I have wasted too much time on this issue already. How can I get a licensed version of Acrobat on my computer? Thank you.

LazyJane, first of all, Adobe Reader and Acrobat are two different applications and Adobe Reader is not a part of Creative Cloud(its a freeware) while Acrobat XI Pro is.
Yes, if you have a Creative Cloud Membership, its always recommended to get Acrobat XI Pro using Adobe Application Manager(AAM).
When you say Acrobat is not available to you via AAM, what exactly you mean? Could you just scroll down and check if you see Acrobat XI Pro on AAM. Attach the screensho, if possible.
Else, you might not have the updated version of AAM. Try the below steps and check:

I faced a really strange thing today. I created a report PDF through Xcelsius. In this PDF, I have a Flash button which, when clicked, would link to an Excel (.xls) file within our LAN. The link works within Acrobat Standard 8.0 but not within Acrobat Reader 9.0. I have examined the preferences on both and they are identical (as far as I can see).
Details:
Software used: Xcelsius 2008 SP1
                       Acrobat Standard 8.0.0
                       Acrobat Reader 9.0
                       Acrobat Reader 8.2 (later)

I later uninstalled Reader 9.0 and reinstalled Reader 8.2 and the link worked in Reader 8.2. The link is a direct address and not a script. The file is opened in IE 7 as a spreadsheet with Macros attached. It is important for me that it works in both versions of Reader as there are several versions of Acrobat Reader deployed among our hospital -- Reader 7, 8, and 9.
Can someone help shed some light on this, please?

Adobe seems unresponsive. We started seeing it this week in conjunction with Excelsius 4.5. I have both Acrobat Pro 9.3 and Acrobat Reader 8 on my PC. Pro blows up when I open the .pdf created by Excelsius, but Reader does fine.

I have installed adobe flash player. I can not open the file. In plugins under tools it is not showing. It shows acrobat reader being there but not flash player. Any ideas?

Flasher Player should be listed as a plugin in tools for it to work?

When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

PDX index works in adobe reader 9.4 but not in adobe X !!

Hello I have some commercial genealogy DVD's, bought a few years ago, with PDX files on them that work fine with adobe reader 9.4 but not in adobe reader X. Adobe reader X says they are invalid PDX index files. Ofcourse adobe says that version X is Backward compatible and I must contact the vendor of my dvd's !!!.
Does anybody else has this problem ?
I do not have the pro version so I cannot rebuild the indexes myself.

I actually contacted my vendor and he is sending me a new disk free of charge . He told me he had to destroy his whole stock of cd's that contains old pdx files.

I purchased full Acrobat XI Standard, downloaded and installed. Now an upgrade with serial number is requested but not available. How can I resolve?

We implemented UNDO management on our servers and started getting these errors for few of our programs.:
ORA-08176: consistent read failure; rollback data not available
These errors were not coming when we were using the old rollback segments and we have not changed any code on our server.
1. What is possibly causing these errors?
2. Why did they not surface with rollback segments but started appearing when we implemented AUM and Temporary TS (instead of fixed TS used as temporary TS).
Our environment:
RDBMS Version: 9.2.0.5
Operating System and Version: Windows 2000 AS SP5

It is observed that some schedule line records are uploaded to BW with recordmode R causing deletion from ODS, though they are present on R/3 side (in EKET). We use 2lis_02_scl to upload schedule line data system BI 7.0. Anyone faced such problem?

here he talks about what is the real motive for changing R mode to X mode .
So but this notes does an undo operation for the same .
We need to re do the same again in start routine if we want to maintain the deleted records . Also search the OSS by giving the data source name & record mode R , then you will also get the original problem in extractors with R mode .

Hi all,
I get the following error when Running a Proxy to mail Scenario.
This happens in the Call adapter pipeline Step of the receiver mail adapter.
error message "com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.ConfigException: SLDAccess set to true, but not available"
I did the Following:
1. tried SLDCHECK -
works fine
2. XIAFUSER/PIAFUSER is not locked.
3. The SLD is reachable
4. XI business system has correct "Pipeline URL" parameter defined
What could have gone wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.

MPPE required but not available

Seems like this issue is recurring on the discussion board.
I am running pptp-vpn on an osx server 10.5.7, which is also an OD master.
EDIT: Should add that I was using my OD accounts to VPN, not local accounts.
Until yesterday, the pptp-vpn worked. But today I get this error (I did some changes to the DNS server yesterday, and shutdown the OD replica, probably what caused it):
"MPPE required but not available."

Tyghe got it right, HOWEVER, if your OD is munged for any reason OR there are more than one user, you many need to be more 'invasive' about cleaning up and then fixing this issue
If you run the command `vpnaddkeyagentuser /LDAPv3/<od servername>` and it just keeps prompting me like it isn't authenticating, you OD is probably either unstable or non functional. Probably needs an archive and demote-promote.
If you run the command and it runs without prompting me for any username or password and adds an entry into the system keychain but does not create a user on the OD server, it is probably similar to issue as above.
The way I would deal with this is to clear the keychain of EVERY entry, then open WGM, delete all the VPN MPPE users, and try the command again. There will only be one user that contain the 'secret' password for MPPE use, attached to VPN and the password is placed in to the keychain, all others are now dead.

There could be many things that could be checked.
1. Perform SLDCHECK and look for inconsistencies.
2. Check if service user XIAFUSER is locked or not.
3. Perform a full CPACache refresh.
