Acrobat Reader for Pocket PC 2 and Win Mobile 5?

I have a UTStarCom using Windows Mobile 5. Is the Pocket PC version 2 of the Acrobat Reader compatible with it? I have downloaded the FAQ but it only says that v2 is compatible with Pocket PC 2002 and 2003. I don't actually know which of these I have, only that it uses Windows mobile 5.
I have also downloaded the User's Guide but it didn't tell you how to install it. Can someone point me to the information?
Thanks.

Welcome to the club... it was formed almost a decade ago, and volumes of frustration and bile have been spilled on the subject over the years ...you are not alone.
The fundamental problem is DRM protection implementation and every reader which supports encrypted ebooks has user issues.
The responsibility for the format used lies with the publisher... who is likely much more interested in content protection than even acknowledging user issues, so, that's where you need to direct your (justifiable) feelings.
Personally, I made a decision in the late 90's based, on principal, to _never_ purchase DRM protected ebooks or audio... ultimately, that's the only user comment the decision makers will even acknowledge, much less listen to.
Your adobe ebook issue is probably addressable on a single device... search here for posts which cover several years of ebook problem solving. I can't help, as I won't go there.

  • Acrobat reader for x86

I have seen some old posts concerning Acrobat reader for Solaris 10, x86. Has anyone been successful in installing a PDF reader on x86 platform ?
    Thanks
    Jim

    Hello.
you will be unpleasantly surprisedThat's right. But after installing some libraries and modifying the configuration files the tool worked correctly (with more or less good and clear fonts) on my computer.
I'm sick about the fact that Adobe neither releases an Acrobat Reader for Solaris/x86 nor says that they will not release one soon.
I'm thinking about a tool similar to WINE that is able to load dynamically linked Linux executables in Solaris without the need of the entire Linux .so files (which are needed by "lxrun" for example). In many cases the tool could simply map Solaris functions into the program (e.g. Solaris "open" equals Linux "open") so only a small subset of libraries would have to be re-written.

  • Find Pocket PC download and win a prize

A prize to someone who directs me to where I can download Reader for PPC at adobe.com! All searches direct me to Acrobat X pages with lots of offers to buy smth or learn about 'new mobile features', but not a single link to download mobile version..
Google search much faster directed me to 3rd party websites to download Adobre Reader 2.0 PPC which speaks about poor adobe.com organization.

Adobe Reader for Pocket PC is a discontinued line, and therefore not available from the Adobe.com website. There is an official download of Adobe Reader 2.0 for Pocket PC (PPC 2000 and Windows Mobile 2003 to 6.5) at CNET. Never download Adobe software from any unofficial site, and the unauthorized online sharing of Adobe software, even free Adobe software, is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
The current mobile apps within the Adobe Acrobat X Family support Windows Phone 7, Android and Symbian devices only, and are distributed either via this website or the platform marketplaces, depending on the platform requirements for installation and code signing. Adobe Reader LE2.5, which runs on Windows Mobile 2003 to 6.5, is an OEM-flashed application and not available to the general public as a download.

  • How can I activate the text reflow feature in Acrobat Reader For Ipad

I have used Acrobat Reader for reading ebooks for a long time. Now in my Ipad I cannot find a way to use the text reflow feature. Can any doy help me?

Sorry, no text reflow on an iPad. Most PDF files don't reflow. I read tons of PDFs on Macs and never reflow them.

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader for Chrome OS

Will Adobe release a version of their Adobe Acrobat Reader for Chrome OS?
We are currently experiencing problems with our clients that are unable to open certificate encrypted and signed PDFs with their built-in Chrome OS PDF viewer (certificate to decrypt the PDF is provided separately to the client).
If anybody has a workaround or the solution for this problem, then please respond.

Isn't Chrome OS just another Android?  Can you try to install the Android version of Adobe Reader: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.reader

  • PDF quality issues on Adobe Reader for Pocket PC 2.0

The quality of PDF's rendered by Adobe Reader 2.0 PPC is awful when compared to Adobe Reader LE. We are running it on HTC X7500's with a nice 5" display, but you have to zoom in +5x to read the text on our parts manuals, where as LE renders the same manual crisply and sharply and you don't have to zoom in at all to read the text. Unfortunately we use a lot of hyperlinks, forms and annotations in our documents which are only available with AR2.0PPC and not LE or indeed any of the other 3rd party readers (FoxitReader, PocketXPDF or Clearvue).
I'm assuming that this is down to anti-aliasing methods used, and that AR2.0PPC has not been updated for four years!
Are we likely to see a version of Adobe Reader for Pocket PC with the quality of LE? or have Adobe given up on developing this platform?

    >>> Our techs have been using the HTC Blueangel (Same as the I-Mate pictured on your site), and although the image rendered by Adobe Reader was quite sharp, the size of the screen meant you were continually zooming in and out of pages to find the appropriate parts. So weve chosen the HTC X7500 as a replacement because of its 5 screen (amongst other reasons). <<
Ho Kay... have looked at the file and, based on the general layout (drawings with part# references) don't think you can get there from here.
Back to the basic goal, a couple of thoughts based on the assumption that your company is generating these pdf's and needs pda access to them.
Perhaps the part# references can be hyperlinked so the tech could tap the part# on the image and go to a table entry with all of the info on that specific part.
In that case, html would be a better format for navigation since, afaik, there does not seem to be a <back> button in reader.

  • Acrobat reader for ios 5.1

How do I get an acrobat reader for my iOS 5.1?

    B_Louck,
Would you tell us the exact version number of iOS on your 1st gen iPad?  See Settings > General > About > Version.  Is it 5.0, 5.1, or 5.1.1?
I have a 1st gen iPad running iOS 5.1.1.  I was able to install Adobe Reader version 11.0.1 a few minutes ago.
Have you ever installed Adobe Reader for iOS on your iPad using the same Apple ID (that is shown in Settings > Store)?  If this is the first time installing Adobe Reader for iOS using the Apple ID, you need to use iTunes to download and associate the app with the Apple ID first.
Please see Reply #6 in the following post.
Re: How do I get a version of Adobe Reader for an IPod touch with IOS 6.1.6
If you have installed Adobe Reader for iOS before, the app should appear in App Store's Purchased section.  You can tap the cloud icon to download and install it.
Please try downloading again if you do not see the 2-button dialog for the first time.

  • Acrobat Reader for BB Curve 8350i

Hi, i find Acrobat Reader for my BB Curve 8350i, if any body know were i can download this please say me.

If you are viewing a PDF file attached to an email you don't need to do anything, the native BlackBerry Attachment Service should suffice to open and view the file.
If you are viewing from the Media Card, you'll need a third party PDF viewer, like BeamReader, PDFtoGo, or Repligo.
Or, email the PDF file to yourself, and read it from the email.

  • Acrobat Reader for Macs

I just downloaded Acrobat Reader for Safari on my mac. It shows up as an application, but when I try and use it by a training program I am using it still does not recognize it. What am I doing wrong? I really need quick help with this as I have a deadline to meet.
Update, I have checked the function of adobe reader on my mac by opening a pdf file and it appears to work just fine, but the application I am trying to run which requires it still apparently does not see it as installed on my computer. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I suspect that you'd have to ask in a forum for that other program, or their designers if they don't have one.

  • What do I need to sign into my Adobe account on every* Acrobat Reader for iOS update?

    Hello,
Every time I update Acrobat Reader for iOS on iPad with iOS 6.1.x from the AppStore, I need to sign into Adobe account every single time! It's getting annoying.

In the past, you have had to re-authenticate your Acrobat.com account on update if you are using the Acrobat.com features. This is something we are working on and hope to improve in future updates. Thank you for the feedback.

  • Acrobat Reader for Blackberry OS 10, Z10, Q10 etc.

What is the status of a full featured Acrobat reader for the new Blackberry OS 10 devices?  These things are selling in the 10s of Millions this year so they are back in the game.  I hope Adobe supports it. The one that Blackberry provided is very limited and seems like it probably came from the Playbook version.  Also seems that the reader on the leaked 10.1 OS versions is backleveled from the one that Blackberry was supplying originally with the Z10.
    Any clarification is appreciated.
