Acrobat Reader X Pro

In output preview the separations are only showing as RGB - how do I turn this to CMYK and default there in future?

There isn't such a thing as Acrobat Reader X Pro. If you are talking about Adobe Acrobat X, the proper forum is here:

This is the Reader one.

    Hi
I've a big problem with adobe acrobat reader XI pro and I hope you can help me.
The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.
    What can I do?
    thank you a lot.

There is no product called Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro. There is
    - Adobe Acrobat Pro ($$)
    - Adobe Reader (free)
Which do you have? And are you a programmer?

  • Acrobat reader 9 pro

    Hello,
who knows where I can find on Acrobat Reader 9 Pro exemplary prensentation (work sheet) for brochuers etc.?
I am looking for something like from MAC pages or iWork  also for the PC.
    Thanks for information
    Werner

There is no product called Acrobat Reader 9 Pro. The is Adobe Reader (which only views and prints pdf files) and Adobe Acrobat Pro (which also creates, and can alter pdf files). You cannot really compare Mac pages or iWork for a Mac with Acrobat. The closest thing to the iWork for the Mac is either Microsoft Office (commercial) or Open Office (open source).

My printer is the HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One

Error:  pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err number 13
I uninstalled the driver, installed it (from the HP website latest driver), I'm able to get the printer to work on everything else, I'm able to print a test page, but... I can't print anything with Adobe Acrobat...........
Any suggestions?  I do use Adobe Acrobat Reader a lot

OK, let's try more thoroughly uninstalling the hp software for 10.5 using the 'scrubber' option.  First, install the wrong software from the CD (for 10.5) so we can more thoroughly uninstall it.  Next:
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard/ click on HP Uninstaller
    Click on Continue
Highlight your device on the left pane
Hold the Ctrl, Opt and Cmd keys and click on Uninstall << This is the scrubber option
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall ALL hp software. (At this point, if you continue, any HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click Continue and let it finish
    Restart your Mac
    Now, run a Software Update.
Finally, download and install the "Full Featured" Driver and Software from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Cannot get Acrobat Reader or Pro to open PDF IN FF browser

    I have a Win7, 64 bit laptop. I have Acrobat Pro X, and Acrobat Reader 11.
I cannot get FF to open a pdf using either of these readers INSIDE the browser. I do not like the internal PDF viewer and I was trying to get Acrobat to render the PDF in the browser. However, whenever I choose acrobat (either one) in options, it will merely download it and open it the application. However, what I want it to do is to open it IN the browser, not in the application.
There is no option for Portable Document Format that includes Acrobat in browser. I had configured it to work properly, but I had to reformat my computer and I can't get it to work again. I have disabled and re-enabled the add-ins for Acrobat, and I still can't get it to work.

Which version(s) of Adobe Reader/Adobe Acrobat do you have? Do you know whether they are up-to-date? I recommend using the product's Help menu to Check for Updates to make sure they are up-to-date.
Then open the Firefox Add-ons page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * 3-bar menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins.
Look in the lower section (gray background) for "Adobe Acrobat" and change it from "Never Activate" to "Always Activate".
Then it should become available in the Options dialog.
    Does it work?
Also, I noticed you have a NitroPDF plugin listed in your More System Details. In case that one is conflicting, if you don't plan to use it, consider switching it to "Never Activate" when you are on the Add-ons page.

  • Can I upgrade from the free version of Acrobat Reader to Pro XI?

Can I upgrade from the free version of Acrobat Reader to Pro

Installing Acrobat is not an "upgrade" from Reader; it's a different product.

  • Typo in Adobe Acrobat Reader 9/Pro 7

Didn't know how best to get Adobe's attention to suggest a fix; figured if nothing else at least forum users could get a laugh out of it. I apologize if this has previously been discussed.
You can access the typo by retrieving the rich text menu (Cntrl + E) and choosing "More." Under the "Paragraph" tab, check out what should say "Indents." It's missing an N.

You can report that here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
I bet it wasn't corrected for Acrobat 10.

  • Acrobat Reader or Pro

How to print anything with Acrobat?

Both programs keep insisting nothings been selected. They say select the thumbnails and then tell it to print. After I do that both programs say nothings been selected. I've  tried select all and still nothings been selected. I use Chrome for a browser. Chrome has no problem printing pdf's, but acrobat refuses to print. I'm at a loss.

  • I have a problem while iam installing acrobat reader 9 pro

this error appear (error 1335: the cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for installation is corrupted and cant be used)

You can try solution 6 and 7 in Error 1311, 1335, or 2350 "Source file not found...data1.cab" when installing Adobe products | Windows.  Those solutions are aimed at the Windows Installer Service as being a possible cause.  I do think it is more likely that the data1.cab file is corrupted but they are still worthwhile steps to try.

  • I cannot open this PDF file in Acrobat 8 Pro or in Acrobat Reader on Windows 7 64-bit

I have a PDF file that I could open on my Windows XP 32-bit laptop in Acrobat 8 Pro or in Acrobat Reader.  I then upgraded to a Windows 7 64-bit laptop.  But now in Win7-64, I cannot open this same file using the same apps (Acrobat 8 Pro & Acrobat Reader XI).
When I try to open it in Acrobat 8, it does not load and instead a popup windows appears saying -
    Adobe Updater
Some components needed to complete this operation are missing but information about them may be available on the Adobe website. Would you like to search the Adobe website for the missing components?
And I can choose either the OK or Quit buttons.  When I click OK, a web browser starts and goes to this website -
    http://www.adobe.com/special/adobe_update_manager/?type=Filter&name=FOPN_foweb&version=0.0 .0.0&lang=en_US&os=Windows&osver=6.1.7601&appid=acrobat8pro-en_US&cpu=intel
    This webpage says -
    Adobe Update Manager
Adobe cannot locate the requested plugin. New plugins will be listed on this page. Currently there are no plugins.
So now I am stuck, no direction to go.  I am left without any solution from Adobe for Acrobat on this file.
When I try to open this PDF file in Reader, it does not load and instead a web browser is spawned loading the webpage -
    http://plugin.fileopen.com/Default.aspx?bhcp=1
This is the FileOpen Plug-in for Adobe Acrobat/Reader, which prompts to -
Please click OK to download the FileOpen Plug-in Installer for Adobe Acrobat/Reader
I click on OK, download and run the Installer file, accept the terms, and installed the FileOpen Client (x64) B928.  Upon completion, it prompts to Finish.  But it does not automatically bring Reader up or try to load the file.  So I try again to load the PDF file into Reader.  But once again, the file does not load and the web browser is spawned loading the same FileOpen Plug-in Installer link.  I click OK again, and start the same FileOpen Client process.  This time, it recognizes that I have FileOpen Client installed, and the window gives me two choices, Repair or Remove.  So since I apparently need this Plug-in, I choose Repair.  The process seems to complete the Repair.  But when I try to load the file, it still brings me back to the FileOpen Plug-in webpage.  So now I am stuck again, and left without any solution from Adobe for Reader on this file.
I tried Adobe support.  But apparently Adobe does not support past releases of their products (Acrobat 8), and also does not give free support for the current version of their free products (Reader XI).
    Can this be fixed?

How is Acrobat 8 not fully Windows 7 compatible?  I see discussions on this Adobe Community saying how Acrobat 8 does work on Windows 7 and with 64-bit.  It appears that if Acrobat 8 is updated to the latest version, then this should fix AA8-Win7 issues.  And I am at the latest AA8 version, 8.3.1.
And how are Acrobat 8 and Reader XI are not compatible?  I have always had Acrobat and Reader installed on the same PC, without ever having any issues.  And Adobe allows the installation of one after the other.  So apparently Adobe allows them both to exist together.  If they are incompatible, then why would Adobe allow them to exist together?
Anyway, I did uninstall the FileOpen Plug-in and the Reader XI, then reinstalled the FileOpen Plug-in.  So now Reader is not installed and only Acrobat 8 is installed.  I then tried to load the PDF file, but I still get the Acrobat 8 error described above.

  • Can you please put me in touch with the support  for the trial copy of adobe acrobat XI pro which I had tried out on March 15 for 30 days. I have  been trying to cancel since the cost is too much and Acrobat Reader is OK for me. I can't find uninstaller.

I have had to erase my disk since then with trouble with Apple Store not recognising my machine and the reload from Time Machine has given complications . Can you please cancel my trial and return my Trial money.

If you paid for what you used then it was not a trial.

  • Acrobat Pro 8.1.12 and Acrobat Reader 9.0 crashing when trying to print

The subject line says it all, but I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Leopard 10.5.5 and now when I select File | Print I get the spinning beach ball than Acrobat crashes. Now oddly, if I use Acrobat Reader 7.0.9, it prints perfectly. But have Acrobat Pro 8.1.12 crash every time the File | Print is selected is a major problem. And no, not even the dialog box comes up first, Acrobat just goes down.
Has anyone else seen this? I saw in the forum others were have problems creating PDF's, something I haven't done yet.

Try the following: (I have no idea if it will help but might be worth a shot.
Its possible That you need to update the driver shown in Printer Utility.
Locate Adobe PDF 8.0 (what evr the latest version is.
Now delete from Printer Utilities List, and quit Printer Utility.
Now open Acrobat 8.1.2 and go to help menu.
    Now choose reapir or Replace.
uncheck PDFViewer and check Adobe PDF
    Now click okay to repair.
If you have acrobat 9. all previous acrobat versions will work with the Adobe PDF 9.0 Driver just fine. It just will not try to use new features added since 9.0.
Also, It possible that your Print Driver for your printer has been updated with the new Sysytem Upgrade.
If so remove the printer listed from the Printer Utility List.
the click on add printer. look for the driver for your printer listed choose make default then quit.
Try Acrobat 8 again and then go to set up menu see if you can find your printer listed. is so choose and save as default.

  • Disable or Hide Online Support menu option from: Reader, Acrobat Standard and Pro XI 11.0.2

    Hi,
I'm trying to make a custom installation for 3 applications: Adobe Reader XI 11.0.2, Acrobat Std. and Pro XI 11.0.2  and most of the options that I wanted to hide are done with the Customization Wizard but I can't hide Online Support. I didn't found yet any FeatureLockDown for this option so far. So our users can still use the Online Support options.
Notice that I tried to drop a script into: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\Javascripts   but when you 1st open the application it has a delay and somehow you still can access it. But if you try to open it again the menu is hidden.
    //HideMenu.js
    //Help - Online Support
    app.hideMenuItem("OnlineSupport");
But a FeatureLockDown on HKLM hive will be the best way to disable this option as users don't have access to this registry hive and some advanced users with more rights could be able to delete the .js file if they know where it is saved.
I will appreaciate your help to get this FeatureLockDown option if it exists or an alternative way.
Thanks as usual and Kind regards everyone.
    Derspinne.
