Acrobat Standard 8.2.6 "fehlende PDF-Maker Dateien"

Hallo,
Fehlende PDF Maker Dateien - Reparatur.

David

  • Ever since I downloaded Acrobat Pro 11.0.09, the PDF Maker and Save As PDF have not worked, but instead cause MS Word 2013 to crash.

Ever since I downloaded the Acrobat Pro 11.0.09, the PDF Maker has not worked, but instead causes MS Word 2013 to crash. I cannot find the cause or the solution.

OK I will try to elaborate this time with pictures so it is clear what I am asking and what the issue I am facing is.
The specific option I want to be able to use from within the Adobe Acrobat Pro user interface is
    File\Create\Batch Create Multiple Files
When I select that menu item a floating tool bar thing pops up that I can drag and drop files onto.
If I drag excel or powerpoint documents onto it and press OK it converts them fine.  If I drag MS word documents into it the documents appear in the list but when I click OK it says no files processed.
In the process of troubleshooting I also tried using the Add Files button.  That is when I discovered that MS word documents (*.doc, *.docx) are not showing up in the list of supported file types.
The same thing happens when I try converting a single file using the File\Create\Create PDF From File menu item. Just like above the MS word documents do not show up in the list of supported file types.
Looking in my registry entries as suggested by the article linked to by one of the posters above I can see both *.doc and *.docx types registered in the correct place.
Unless I can use the batch convert command as intended by the time my trial period runs out in 13 days I cannot justify buying this software. If converting the documents one at a time was acceptable I would just use Save As PDF from within MS Word which works just fine. I need the batch convert function so I can convert my whole library of word documents to PDF at once.
    Any further assistance greatly appreciated!

    Gray

  • WIN 7/32-bit, Acrobat Standard 9, can't save pdf in "libraries" folders

I am running Windows 7/32-bit with Acrobat Standard 9.3.2, the operating system is fully patched and updated.
For some odd reason, when I try to convert an office document (working in Office 2003) via the "convert to PDF" button in the "acrobat PDF" toolbar I can't save the document in my "libraries" folder.  This folder of course contains "my documents" and is where I prefer to save most of my PDF files.  I click on "libraries" to select the place to save the PDF but all that comes up is "no items match your search."
Alternatively, if I try to print the office document to the Adobe PDF printer I get to the menu where it asks where I want to save the PDF file and again, I cannot access the libraries folder.  Other locations work fine, such as the desktop, network folders, accessing the C drive and doing down the tree to "my documents', but not the actual libraries folder.  Acrobat almost seems to think it is blank.
I'd appreciate any ideas, as I have several users under me in the same position.

    Hi Guys,
I have the solution to your problems and I will go ahead an explain it in detail so that no questions will be raised.
I have struggled to get WINDOWS 7 (32BIT) to run on the Touchsmart 300 PC now for three days (and nights) but I know how you can do it.
The problem lies within the VGA Adapter (Graphics Card) this little buddy has incompatible drivers with the inbuilt functions of the Touchsmart PC in its generic (Windows Preloaded) form. Therefore what you can do is the this.
Step 1: Insert Windows 7 (32Bit) disk and start the setup process and follow it until it hits the problem. (Millisecond of Bluescreen)
Step 2: Once the PC starts booting repeatedly press F8 (I mean it just keep on pressing that button until you can select "Safe Mode")
Step3: Once Windows Setup screen is back it will tell you an error! Which is good. INSTEAD of pressing "OK" (to restart) press SHIFT + F10 (opens the command prompt)
Step4: You should automatically be in \Windows\System32 now enter the following command: CompMgmtLauncher (This is the Device Manager).
(If the default directory is not System32 the navigate to it by entering "cd windows" and "cd system 32" (cd = change directory)
Step5: In the Device Manager (do not worry it will take some time to load) select navigate to "Display Adapters" - "ATI Radeon ..." RIGHT-CLICK on it and choose disable. (To be sure Windows will not have any other troubles you should do the same for all highlighted devices. the once with the yellow triangle)
Step6: Once this is done restart your system and let the install run into the normal mode and finish the install.
Step7: Once Windows starts for the first time. Use the provided ATI Radeon Driver from HP (NOT the original one) from the support download website to install the correct driver.
    Step8: Resart and enjoy!
Hope this helps and let me say to AMD/ATI yopu guys really suck at your one product drivers!
    Cheers and Out.

  • New computer.  Acrobat 7 will not create the pdf maker

Got the file from the [email protected] site as directed by tech support. It loaded and can open pdf files but will not create.  When installing it said cannot create the pdf maker.
    How can I fix?

    Hi ronc638131,
What operating system are you using? I'm guessing that if you have a new computer, you most likely have an operating system that is much newer than Acrobat 7, and on which Acrobat 7 was never tested. Please see the Acrobat system requirements  here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-produ cts.html

  • Acrobat Standard 8 - can't save pdf forms

I made a .pdf from LiveCycle and the client has Acrobat Standard 8 and can't save the .pdf form?
Supposedly they have other .pdf forms that they can save?
Is that possible? Would there be something different from my LiveCycle created .pdf that would stop
them from being able to save it?

Ok, I tried to go Under the Advanced menu, choose "Extend Features in Adobe Reader".
I copied images of the errors that I receive.  After I close out of the file, the fil e seems to be saved,
but I need to get rid of those error messages.

  • Problem with recent Acrobat Standard subscription and opening up PDF's

After doing a 1-month trial for Adobe XI Pro, I completed online purchase yesterday (11/8/14) for annual subscription for Adobe Standard.
And now I can no longer open or read any PDFs on my computer. A prompt comes up that trial period has ended and I need to subscribe (which I have done). I did not expect this and am very frustrated. Is there a lag time for processing the subscription, or is this something related to updates of  older version Adobe? I have Windows Vista.

    Hi create shortcut,
Acrobat XI isn't supported on Windows Vista, so that could be what the problem is (see Tech specs | Adobe Acrobat XI Pro). Although, it sounds like you were using Acrobat Pro XI on Vista, is that correct?
Your subscription is indeed, active. So, you should be able to simply sign in and use Acrobat Standard (but know that Adobe can't support any technical issues that might arise when using it on an unsupported OS).

  • Adobe Acrobat 8. Receiving error "Missing PDF maker files"

I have had this software for several years and have had no problems.
I am receiving the error note above when trying to merge two files into a single PDF file.
I tried reloading the software and also looked on line for updates. There were no updates posted.
    Any ideas?

You have to have AA8.1 to use PDF Maker with OFFICE 2007. With AA7, you can only print to the Adobe PDF printer. If you are upgrading to Win7, then upgrade to AA9 to go with it.

  • Acrobat Standard XI - How to edit pdf created and signed with Adobe Standard 6.0 on another computer?

    Hi
Is this even possible? I cant edit PDF-documents because I cannot remove the signature. Can I transfer digital signature from Adobe Standard 6.0?
    Please help me out
    //Anders

Acrobat versions prior to 9 had a bug which allowed you to do what you did. In Acrobat 9 this bug was fixed. In order to do what you want you need to certify (apply special certification digital signature with your certificate -- it is "Certify (Visible/Invisible)" choice in the "Work with Certificates") your document first. In the process of certification you can specify which modification permissions you allow the users of your document to make after signing. Certification signature must be the first signature in the document.

  • Unable to associate PDF files to Acrobat Standard 7 after latest reader 9 patch

    I am unable to
make PDF files open as Acrobat standard 7 as my default PDF viewer. I have tried to right click open with, more, browse to acrobat standard 7 folder, coose acrobat program, then open. The acorbat standard 7 program never gets listed in the other programs list. I have also deleted the pdf file type extension and browsed over to Acrobat standard 7 folder and chose program and it still opens in Reader 9.  The one bright sopt in all this is I still have the right click open with Acrobat Standard 7 listed.
My users want to just open PDF attachments from outlook without having to save the PDF's first to thier hard drive, open with acrobat standard 7, then save them again, then reattach to to email and foward on with approval stamp. This is on at least 2 machines, an Xp and Vista machine.

    OK Here is my fix.
I reran the Acrobat Standard 7 install from control panel and chose to "Repair" the installation. After rebooting I could just double click on a PDF and it opens up in Acrobat Standard 7.

  • I need create a lof of files with the same password with Acrobat Standard 9

    Good Morning:
I need create a lot of pdf files with password. After I put all files in a directory and with the Acrobat Writer Version 4 selected this directory and the program Acrobat automaticly put the same password in all the files. After as well, I could select files with the same password and changed the password automaticly of this files.
Now with the Acrobat Standard 9, I don't know make this taskes. My cuestion is "Can I make this things with acrobat Standard 9 or I need other version?"
    Thank you

    Thank you for your help
Your solution is different from the other members' opinion. ¿Is This option  available in the Adobe Standard ? Because I have not found it in Adobe Standard.
Your option is with   Edit > Preferences > Batch Processing Security Method "Password Security" and the option of the other members is with Advance > Batch Process.
I have tried to change some pdf files that had password with Adobe Pro, so I tried to remove the security password from the pdf files, with Advance > Batch Process.
I created a new secuence with security through  the Option "Whithout Password" but when I executed the secuence, the program showed me a window with this message "OPERATION NO AVAILABLE".
¿Can you help me? I don't kown how I can remove the password of this pdfs, yet.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard Installation Manual

I am trying to do something very simple: Find an installation manual for Acobe Acrobat Standard.
When I go to the Adobe site, here is what I'm trying to do:
Go to Support & Learning -> I Need Help -> Products
    Choose Acrobat
    Click "Acrobat X Standard Help"
Click "Getting Started and Tutorials" (takes me to: http://www.adobe.com/support/acrobat/gettingstarted/)
Click "Downloading, installing, and setting up" (takes me to http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite.html)
Click Acrobat X Pro | Help (takes me to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/X/pro/using/index.html)
Click "Getting Started and Tutorials" (takes me to: http://www.adobe.com/support/acrobat/gettingstarted/)
At this point, Step 7 has taken me back to Step 4.
WHERE IN GODS NAME IS AN INSTALLATION MANUAL???
The Adobe site literally takes me around in circles.

This is for a large IT department, and for traceability we need to show that instructions were followed, as provided by the manufacturer/publisher. While I agree that it is "self evident" for the most part, we need to have documentation attesting to decisions such as making Acrobat Standard the default application for users -- what does this mean? Is this for the local user, or is it for all users on the machine? If Acrobat Standard is the default for ".pdf" files, are there any other files (as identified by extension) that it opens by default?  What about PDFMaker/Office integration -- what options are available through the installer for controlling who has access to that? E.g. If we purchase a single license of Acrobat Standard, but it is a shared computer (with independent logins), how do we ensure we are not in violation of licensing?
These are things that should be addressed during installation.
But the fact that this is a paid product, and it doesn't have an installation manual, is the bicker pain in my side right now.

  • PDF Maker

Is Acrobat 8.1.0 compatible with Windows 7?  I cannot get the PDF Maker to work nor can I print to Adobe.

Acrobat * is not longer supported and PDF Maker has to do with MS Office.
Did you check to see if Acrobat 8 was compatible with your version of MS Office?

  • Acrobat X Standard PDF Maker don't work on Outlook 2013

I upgrade to M.O. 2013 and the PDF Maker on Outlook stops working. I'm using the Acrobat X standard latest version on Win.8 Pro 64bit. Somebody knows how to enable this again? Thanks.

Acrobat X PDF Maker is not compatible with Microsoft Office 2013. Please refer to following link: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html
You need to upgrade to Acrobat 11.0.1 to get this feature.

  • Windows 8: Make PDFs open by default in Acrobat Standard or Pro instead of Reader

In a Windows 8 environment, how can you set set all PDFs to open in Acrobat Standard or Professional instead of Reader? I've tried right-clicking on a PDF in Windows Explorer, selecting Properties, then changing the default app from Reader to Professional. Although it seems to work (does not generate an error), PDFs continue to open in Reader. Surely there is a way to change this. I've spent about 15 minutes Googling this, but was surprised I could find no solution.

PDF Ownership when Reader X is Installed with Acrobat
The steps have not changed across versions.
