Acrobat std. 9 & 10 conflicts with MS Office & SharePoint 2010

HELP!!!!
I have a user base that access PDFs stored in a Workspace on our SharePoint server and access them via our Intranet SharePoint site. These users have Acrobat Std 9 and 10. We have recently installed MS Office 2010. The users were given a short cut to the files on SharePoint but the short cut is a Windows Explorer window as allowed in SharePoint. The Problem: when the users attempt to open any file through the short cut, it can take up to 20 or 30 minutes for the file to open, somethings it times out. The user, thinking something is wrong, will attempt to close the window, ultimately making the machine unresponsive and requires a reboot. However, if the users copies and pastes the files to their local machine, it opens right away. If the users traverse the Intranet SharePoint site, down through the various folders of the SharePoint Workspace, they can open the files without issue. This issue only occurres when Office 2010 is installed with acrobat 9 or 10 and they access the files via the windows explore short cut. We have even tried uninstalling Office 2010 but once installed the issue remains. The order of the install does not affect the outcome. Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there a resolution?

Hmm... there have been other discussions of Acrobat X MS Office 2010 http://forums.adobe.com/thread/884628?tstart=0 but I don't remember seeing anything like your problem

It is my understanding that if you do not have a recent version MS Office 2007 or more recent then there are conflicts and Lion will not support the older version.

Create Document Sets with Javascript COM - Sharepoint 2010

I am trying to work out if it's possible to create Document Sets in a list using the Javascript COM.
If it is possible does anyone have an example of how to do it. I am using Sharepoint 2010.

Lightroom conflicting with Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010

Hal and Beat were very helpful at that time.
Quick background and current situtation (after some 5 plus weeks)
- Shortly after ver 3.6 was released, Lightroom 3.6 began crashing while in the DEVELOP module after 30 minutes plus or minus.
By ``Crashing``, I mean the computer shuts down, no blue screen, and reboots to screen recommending START WINDOWS NORMALLY
- Computer is 6 months old, Computer shop replaced, in sequence with my testing,
          Video Card
          Memory
          CPU
- crashing continued, so they installed a temporay new C drive to see what would happen.
- With LR only running, all was fine so Win 7 (home premium) was re-installed on my C drive and I stared re-installing the software.
With each installation LR was tested twice for 60-90 minutes, before proceeding to next software install
RESTORE POINT created after FIREFOX ``ìnstalled``
- Lightroom 3.0 installed
     tests run
- Lightroom 3.6 installed
     tests run
RESTORE POINT created
- Photoshop CS5 installed
     tests run
RESTORE POINT created
- MS Office installed, some issues with setting up OUTLOOK
- drive permissions fixed
     tests run and LR crashed
-Uninstalled Office
- crashes continued (much quicker)
- worked back through RESTORE POINTS and eventually ended up at inital RESTORE POINT
Then worked back through the installs again (and restore points)
- No crashes until I installed MS Office.
- I have backed up to the RESTORE POINT before Office install and still crashing.
At this point I am ready to set up Lightoom in a Virtual machine within the computer and run everything else normally. (not sure I said that correctly, but that was what I thought my technical assistant said)
But before doing that, has anyone else had this problem and solved it ???

Set up Speed fan (not sure I did it right as you will see below)
Ran Prime95, crashed within 3-4 seconds
Went to Speedfan log, the most recent one and imported the csv into Google Docs spread sheet. I thought it looked strange, so I doubel checked it ona another compouter runnign excel.

As far as features are concerned, what is the difference between Adobe Acrobat Standard 8 vs. Adobe Acrobat Standard 9. I do not use Adobe but I work in the IT dept (helpdesk) and one of our users asked me this question. I tried checking the website but could not find anything about it.
Also is there a way to e-mail a single page from a PDF document that contains multiple pages with Adobe Reader 8 or 9?

Quicktime 7.1.6 conflict with Microsoft Office

I installed QT 7.1.6 on both my laptop and desktop. It caused Outlook, Word, and QT to hang on both machines. I completely uninstalled QT and Itunes from both machines, no problem since the uninstall. I may go back to an earlier version later.
Anyone else have this problem?

Don't think that's it since it worked with 7.1.3, but with 7.1.6 it not only fails to beep but occasionally *crashes the browser*.
Downgrading to 7.1.3 makes it work again.
The about:plugins page shows the same thing with both quicktime versions as far as which file is registered to play MIDI. (Well, the version number on the quicktime plugin changes from 7.1.3 to 7.1.6, but other than that the about:plugins page stays the same)
No, I really do mean that QT 7.1.6 on Windows is broken with regard to being controlled with Javascript. That the Mac version works is nice for Mac users, but irrelevant to my situation. I have yet to test stuff with both QuickTime versions in Internet Explorer.

If i understood you correctly, you have SP list and there are some records. Now you want to open your infopath form when clicks on add new item in the same list. I am still confuse about "from table 'Account'" this line. Are you saying that you are fetching
records from SQL table to PS list?
Anyway, you can modify the existing list form infopath so you could be able to open the infopath form instead of default newform.aspx page. Later you can create a new data connection in that customize form to display data in table format from same list.

SharePoint Custom New Form with DataForm Webpart SharePoint 2010

Hi Guys,
i have a Problem with my Custom NewForm.ASPX. I Created a CustomForm like this Guide:

Problem
Now i set the DataFormWebpart for the Webpartzone on visible=False and add my custom DataformWebpart in this NewForm.aspx (see Code).
After my deployment and click on "New item" i can see my custom DataForm Webpart.
The Problems are:
1. The Ribbon is Greyed out
This post was not my solution. The Ribbons is not greyed out but the Ribbon has no function ("save Button" is broken)
2. The Fields are not loaded and looks like a Displayform
I Don't know why the Dataform does not load these fields. I can see the title but not the text Columns or lookups
3. Save Button and the Ribbon does not work
Only the Cancel button work on this Newform.aspx

SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS) supports expression-based connection strings. This will help us to achieve the goal you mentioned in this case:
Create a new report
Create a Data Source in the report with the connection string like this:
http://server/_vti_bin/lists.asmx (We use static connection string instead of expression-based connection string now, as it is not supported to get fields based on expression-based connection string in design time. We will change it to be expression-based
connection string later)
Create the data set(as you have done using XML query language). Please use list name instead of GUID in the listName parameter.
Design the report(e.g. Add controls to the report)
Now, let's change the connection string to be expression-based. First, please add a parameter to the report, move this parameter to top. This parameter is used to store the sub site name.
Open the Data Source editor, set the connection string to be: ="http://server/" & Parameters!parameterCreatedInStep5.value & "_vti_bin/lists.asmx"
In the main report, pass the sub site name to the report we created above via the parameter created in step5
That is all.

Satellite p845t-s4310 incompatible with Microsoft Office Plus 2010

I just bought this laptop at best buy but when downloading Microsoft Office Pro or Plus the Desk top assist stops working properly . After downloading Office the Desktop assist only shows "programs" and "links" .The rest of files like "media and entertainment" , tools and utilities", "support and recovery" disappear ...and the files cannot be found...
Very frustrating.
Is there any solution to this problem ??

I can't understand what you're looking at from your description. Maybe you can explain better what you mean and attach some pictures.
Exactly what "assistant" are you talking about?
Are you downloading from Microsoft's site - like here? Exactly where?
Or are you trying to activate the trial version that came on your computer?
Note that you must uninstall the trial version before installing a new version.

Conflict with Hyperion Smartview vs. Microstrategy Office, Version 8.1.1 HF

We have Smartview version 9.1.3.6 installed. Some users are reporting conflicts with Microstrategy Office, Version 8.1.1 HF. Has any one heard of this?
