Acrobat Toolbar in Lotus Notes 8.5

Does anyone know how i can get the acrobat toolbar to show up in Lotus Notes 8.5.
I know this has been an issue in the past and I have already tried the steps of manually adding the add-ons into the configuration files for Notes but that doesn't seem to work any longer.
I'm using Lotus Notes 8.5 fp2 and Adobe 9 Pro
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

Having the same issue in our shop.  So I'm curious if you figured it out.
Same specs, same futzing with the notes.ini file with the add-in line.
Spent 2 hours with Adobe technical support (why is ever interaction with them so uninspiring?) only to be told to unistall Acrobat, unstall Notes, reinstall Acrobat, reinstall notes.
To spare anyone the headache, this doesn't work either.
Becoming more and more disenchanted with the Acrobat product as it relates to Lotus Notes. (suppose they'd just rather have the Microsoft Outlook gorilla sit on them)
I'm the decision maker in our shop and plan to look for ways put the X on and upgrade to Acrobat X.  Surely there is another way to store our emails by subject matter for records retention purposes.

  • Acrobat Toolbar STILL missing in Word 2013 64bit

    Hi
I use Acrobat X and Word 2010 extensively to convert word documents into PDF with clickable TOC and links.
I recently upgraded to Office 2013 (64bit) and found Acrobat was not compatible, and so upgraded to Acrobat XI professional. However after the acrobat install, the Acrobat toolbar was still not there in Word 2013. I re-installed Acrobat, then updated acrobat, then re-ran word. Nothing. I looked in Com Addins - no acrobat add Office add in.
There is an Acrobat menu in in Outlook 2013, Excel 2013, Powerpoint 2013 - just not WORD (just my luck).
I tried to manually add into word COM add-ins the file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\PDFMaker\Office\x64\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll - Word did not generate an error when I tried to do this, but neither did it add the add-in. I re-started Word to be sure, but it's still not there.
I tried manually adding the COM add-in at C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\PDFMaker\Office\x64\PDFMWord.dll - but word gave me an error "... is not a valid Office Add-In."
I would really NOT like to have to go back to Word 2010 and Acrobat X - can you assist? I've searched the forums and the web to get to where I am now, without success.
Also : I have tried an Repair within Acrobat without success.
    Regards, Ken

Ok, in case someone has the same problem I fixed it this way:
The fact that the PDFMaker was running in Excel and in Outlook made me think it was a Word problem. Also because I was able to almost add in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\PDFMaker\Office\x64\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll without an error (even through it didn't work) - I decided to try as the Administrator.
By running Word as the Administrator (my username is an Administrator, but I do not log in as the Administrator) - done by right clicking on Word 2013 in the start menu, choosing Run As Administrator - then going through the process of adding the add-in from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\PDFMaker\Office\x64\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll - this worked and now the Acrobat Menu is in Word 2013.

  • After installing Adobe Acrobat XI, PDMaker does not appear in Lotus Notes 9

    Hi
We have installed Lotus Notes 9 onto our PC (Multi User Installed) followed by Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.
We are unable to get the PDFMaker on the Lotus Notes toolbar anymore.
We are running Windows 7 Pro 64 bits
Our system have got 8GB of Ram.
    Onboard Graphic etc
Did anyone have got this similar experienced? If you got a solution, may I know how you go about resolving it?
    Cheers.
    Simon

First off, you posted in the wrong forum. This is the Adobe Reader forum, not the Acrobat forum...
Anyway: It seems that Lotus Notes 9 is not compatible with any version of the PDFMaker plugin. At least that's what I gather from this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html

  • Acrobat not Appearing in Lotus Notes

According to the doco I have found an Acrobat toolbar should appear in Lotus notes. Ive tried everything (?) without success to get the toolbar to appear.
The Acrobat printer is installed. It will convert Lotus email to PDF files but it will not add an attachment, it produces a graphic image for the file attachment only.
I really need the option that allows you to convert mail folders to a PDF file.
    All help appreciated.

  • Acrobat X Pro does not install PDF toolbar in Firefox, but does in IE.  How to fix?

Also, I see that Acrobat X Pro does not install all plugins.  There are several that I want shown as not installed.  But how can I get these installed, as there is no button to say "install this"??

Got a partial fix - In Firefox, the Adobe PDF Toolbar gets installed in "Disabled" mode.  To enable, go to "Tools->Add-ons->Extensions", select "Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF" and enable it.
Now, as for the rest of the Acrobat plugins, I'm still trying to find a way to enable them.  Any ideas?

    Hi Christian,
Please set Outlook as default mail client and see if review can be initiated successfully or not.
Also note that, Lotus notes 9 is not officially supported with Acrobat 9.

  • Can't open lotus notes links with acrobat reader XI

We had acrobat reader 9 a few month ago. We did an upgrade to XI. Since the upgrade, we can't open lotus notes link in PDF. I receve a message : Could not open the file 'Notes://<server>/85256E990056A5F7/428FA5DA3ED9D82485256E6D005FA7AB/ED916EF56E1CC50B85257 545005AB67B'. (<server> is the name of my server)
The path is working. I can paste it in run and it's working. If I downgrade to reader 9, the link work with the same PDF.

    Hi benlebvb,
Are you running a 32- or 64-bit OS? Please see this thread: Acrobat 8 and Windows 7 Don't Work
While that is not a supported configuration (Acrobat 7 on Windows 8), some customers have been able to make it work. The thread I've referenced should give you some good pointers.

  • Acrobat via Lotus Notes

My account has changed all users to use "local replicates"
for email retrival (Lotus Notes) instead of direct from server.
Problem is that when in Acrobat (version 7) if I select email it
produces an error message saying it can't find the files (ex
mail\joeblow.nsf) This only occurs in "local replicate" mode, not
in "server: mode. Any ideas or has anyone else experianced
    this

Could you provide more detail? What part is Authorware
    playing in this
    process?

  • Using Lotus Notes with Acrobat Pro 9

We need some help on trying to achieve somthing that may or may not be possible.  Our goal is for employess to use an Adobe pdf form (purchase requistion), fill it out on line, click "Submit", and have that action open up our Lotus Notes e-mail system permititng the employee to send the req to appropiate approvers found in the company Notes email system.  Is this doable, and if so, how?  Right now, the button ony permits sending the pdf form back tot he person who created it.  I am also interested in learning how we can allow our approvers to have the ability to forward a message with the attached pdf form and send it to other recipients.

You are better off putting the form on the web and having script to process the informaiton and send it to the people who need the information on the form. The form need not be resent or emailed.

  • Lotus Notes - email no longer converting

I am no longer able to successfully create pdfs (from either individual emails or folders) using the Acrobat toolbar button or the Acrobat choices added to the dropdown menu. All I receive now is "failed to convert" messages with no real information.
IT assures me that there have been no changes in Lotus Notes at our organization and I do not see anything from Adobe updates that could cause the problem.
I can still print choosing Adobe PDF as my printer, but this does not preserve attachments, a critical requirement for me.
Please help. This was an excellent way for me to archive and search my email.
    Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.latest
    Windows XP
    Lotus Notes 6.5

There are no possible triggers that I know of. I was archiving my email once a month, give or take a week, so the timeframe for potential unwanted changes is long.
During that time I know there were Adobe product updates for my CS3 which I allowed. Also, our IT group can push out software updates remotely for Lotus Notes and other software, so all I have is their assurance that nothing changed.
This issue is happening for all mail items, for both the inbox and my user created folders.
Our Lotus Notes administrators will not support non-Notes software and our on-site IT was essentially out of ideas after the reinstallation did not solve anything.
I did find a non-Adobe workaround to export my email to Thunderbird (portable version) so I can at least have a way to archive and get my email off the system and server, but the Acrobat archive was much more efficient.

  • I didn't get the PDFMaker options in Lotus Notes

    Hello,
I am working on Windows XP, with Lotus Notes 7.
I want to convert Lotus Directories and Mails to pdf.
I have instaled the evaluation version of Acrobat XI pro, to test if I can have this functionality before buying the licence,
...but I didn't get the PDFMaker options in Lotus.
    I have try:
    - restart the computer,
    - restart Notes,
    - read the link: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdfmaker-unavailable-lotus-notes-acrobat.html
=> Solution 1: Make sure that the Notes PDFMaker files are installed ==> was already OK
=> Solution 2: Modify the Notes.ini file to include path to the PDFMaker dll file ==> Was not ok, I have made the change
(my NOTES.ini file is in C:\Program Files\lotus\notes\_xxxx\Standard      directory in my case.
    - read the link: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3526901#3526901
         => in regedit, I find Software/Lotus/Notes/ 7.0 under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER
              and without NotesIniPath.
I Try to add NotesIniPath with the path, restart Notes, but I still haven't the PDFMaker buttons or menu or toolbar.
    - I search a lot in the forum, but I only found unresolved topics.
could someone please help me to get the PDFMaker in Lotus Notes?
thank You in advance for your Help,

  • Acrobat toolbars in word 2007

I am currently using CS4 (with Acrobat 9).
Yesterday, I upgraded from Microsoft Office 2003 to Office 2007.
Two Acrobat toolbars (Convert and Select) are no longer with any of Office 2007 files. How can I retrieve these two toolbars for Office 07? James

    Try these...
If you are missing the PDF option in MS Office 2007, you may
download a plug-in from MS to create a PDF without Acrobat, go
to the MS article search page and do a search, or go to the MS
Office update page and search for the file to download
    Search http://search.microsoft.com/search.aspx?mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US
    Office http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/default.aspx
    General Acrobat Problem Steps
If you are having problems creating a PDF, there are two steps you should do FIRST
Go to the appropriate vendor web site and apply all updates to the program you are using (several recent messages have concerned problems with MS Office conversion, with the response that different versions of Office have different BUGS that must be fixed by a download from Microsoft - and MS Office products are not the only ones which may, from time to time, need to be updated to work properly)
Apply all updates IN NUMBER ORDER
