Acrobat X and Yosemite Issues

I have been using acrobat 10 and OS Mavericks to manage my office documents using a Fujitsu scanner. After I upgraded to OS Yosemite, I have been unable to print any of the documents that I have scanned. The image of the doc will show up on the print window, but all I get is a blank page. My print drivers are up to date and I have even tried a different brand of printer with the same results. I had coworker scan a doc and email it to me (windows machine) and I can print with no problems. I can also scan an image as a jpeg and print. Troubleshooting with Apple did not solve the issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

Logic Pro X and Yosemite issues

It seems I have some very basic issues with Logic Pro X 10.0.7 after upgrading to Yosemite OS on my MacBook Air:
1. Zooming the main window by swiping two fingers apart or together on the mouse pad does not work anymore.
2. Adjusting the length of audio regions in the main window does not work anymore. It works as usual on midi tracks, but when I hover the end of an audio region the brackets just do not appear. I have now used automation to silence the bit that I wanted to shorten, but that is more of a hassle.
I have tried restarting Logic Pro X, restarting the MacBook and looked for any settings that may have been changed, but to no avail.
Do these issues sound familiar to anyone? Any thought on how to fix?

Acrobat 9 and Orbix2000 Issues (Crash on Acrobat API)

I build a plugin using Acrobat 9 SDK. The plugin starts a CORBA (Orbix2000) instance and a call back function in CORBA. The same plugin works fine with Acrobat 8. In Acrobat 9.x (9.1 and 9.2), after the call back function in CORBA, most of the Acrobat API's are not accessable; usually I got "unhandled exceptions". All the Acrobat menu items are fine even my plugin menu items can be used.

It looks like in Acrobat 9.x, the AVAlert's resource handle is gone or there is no AVAlert at the location that suppose to be.
Again, the same routine works in Acrobat 8.x.
Any suggestion from anyone or from Adobe's folks?

Acrobat 8 only had a single instance of the application running no matter how many documents. Acrobat 9 instantiates separate instances for each document. Could you be assuming (or could the CORBA stuff be assuming) single process model?

Bootcamp and Yosemite issue (Missing Operating System_)

I can no longer boot my windows 7 partition after Yosemite upgrade.
I got the "Missing Operating System_" message after using bootcamp. I can't see the windows disk in the finder on mac.
Hopefully anyone can help.

This is a working system with CS and Bootcamp, on the same physical drive. CS is a Logical Volume Manager on the OSX side and bears no relationship to the Bootcamp NTFS filesystem. The only benefit of reverting from CS to plain JHFS+ allows the BC HFS driver to see the OSX volumes from Windows.

Is the printer connected wirelessly or wired?
Go to Preferences and under categories go to > Convert to Pdf then select the Image Capture and then hit ok button.
Close Acrobat and then relaunch it and see if it helps you while you do scanning.

Touch-up tool causes font issue in Acrobat 9 and X

While I edit text using the Edit Document Text tool (formerly TouchUp Text) the font style are getting changed, for example If i select the Uppercase style text using Document Text Tool after exit the selection and trying to save as the doucment some characters with in the text changed into lower case. In Acrobat 7 and 8 the TouchUp Text tool works fine. Please suggest a solution to get rid of this issue in 9 pro and X pro.

I have attached the screenshots for your reference, How I selected the text and what the problem was occur in the pdf files. Actually this is pdf file which is exported from InDesign as per customer provided export settings. if I change 100% of subset fonts in that export settings(See the screenshots below) I can get rid of the font issues in Acrobat 9 and X pro but I am not supposed do any changes in that settings.
If you want check/analyze the problematic pdf file I can send it as an attachement to your mail ID? if so please let me know your mail ID.

Acrobat 9 and Canon iR-ADV C2030 issues

I have a user running 10.7.5 on a 2ghz MacBook Pro who constantly has issues printing PDFs to various printers. When she prints tabloid PDFs to our copier (Canon iR-ADV C2030), the prints come out fine. When she prints tabloid PDFs to any of our other printers (Xerox Phaser 7750 & 7800, HP LaserJet 5200) the prints come out the wrong size. It looks fine in the preview before she prints. I had reset her printing system, gone into the localhost settings and wiped her preferences. Only happens with PDFs, but it took a while to properly diagnose the issue (very busy user).
After much testing, this is what I've come up with: It ONLY happens with Adobe Acrobat 9, and only after printing to the Canon. The user can first print a tabloid PDF to our HP and Xerox machines with no issue. She can then print to the Canon with no ill effects. But once she prints there, it messes up the Acrobat preferences and she can no longer print tabloid correctly to any other printer but the Canon. The PDFs come out on letter at tabloid size (i.e., top corner oreinted with the rest of the image off the paper). Odd one. The problem does not occur with Acrobat X.

Based on what you have written the ADV C5035 does not have the optional Postscript (PS) kit installed. It has nothing to do with any Mavericks update.
So you will have to use the UFR2 driver you mention, which is a Canon proprietary printer language and the default printer kit in the Canon iR devices.
Note that when creating the network print queue you must use the HP Jetdirect-Socket protocol. IPP is not supported by the driver and some users have had issues with the LPD protocol.

Acrobat 9 - hyper link issue and print in larger font

I am using Acrobat 9 and have two issues :
When I try to convert a web page to pdf file i.e. through the print command in FF, the text links are there in the new file but without the underlying hyper links ?
How can I print the files with a larger font. It is okay for seeing it on monitor but too small for me when I print.

Do as AbhigyanModi suggests or use the Adobe Acrobat plugin that should be in your web browser if you're using Internet Explorer. This happened because you "printed" to convet to PDF. You have to use either AbhigyanModi method or use the Internet Explorer plugin to save active hyperlinks.
In terms of the font size -- You can set up the web capture preferences first. Explore the menu that AbhigyanModi suggests or use the built in help. It's there for a reason.

Issues betw. PDFs created in Acrobat 7 and reviewed in Reader 10

Due to constraints with our authoring system, we are limited to using Acrobat 7 to create PDFs and prepare them for review. Recently, our reviewers have not been able to add their comments into these PDFs. We don't know if this is a disconnect between the versions of Acrobat Pro and Reader or if there are other issues that we're not aware of.
Background:
Working OS = Win XP SP3
Reviewer OS = ? (various)
To prepare the PDF, we select Comments > Enable for Commenting and Analysis in Adobe Reader... and then save this version of the file over the original PDF.
Any thoughts out there?

The Acrobat SDK is nothing by itself. It is just information on how to automate Acrobat - just as the Office SDK doesn't include Office, but is for people who already have purchased Office but want to automate it.
These automation things are MARKETING TOOLS FOR ACROBAT. Consider this and the technical limitations make a lot more sense.
So, yes, you need to buy Acrobat. Standard is cheaper than Pro.

Are there any known issues with Adobe Edge Animate and Yosemite? Experiencing performance issues since upgrading OS. Animation I was working on that had been performing in browser fine suddenly stopped working, and was not related to any action I had done at that point. Also was working in it today and program stopped responding to key board short cut commands.

I am having a whole slew of odd interface problems with a fresh 2014.1.1 on a fresh macbook pro with latest Yosemite. Program locks up, cursor selections don't show, things disappear. I have a mac mini also and the program runs fine on it. Is there possibly something related to the solid state hard drive in new macs?

I can't hear iTunes music or internet radio but internal and external speakers are definitely working. Is there a key stroke I have set or some other, maybe Yosemite, issue?

I have checked my internal speakers on an iMac and also the external speakers - all working. When play music in iTunes the sound bar moves but no sound is heard. Same problem if I want to listen to the radio via internet. Has anyone a suggestion. Is it a Yosemite issue - I have had others involving printers. thanks

like davis says then even though I have connected headset and external speakers to my imac then at boot up the boot sound comes out of the imac speaker
but once booted into OS X all audio is played out of the headset and ext speakers and the imac speakers are silent as the grave

"Copy to clipboard" issue with Acrobat X and Skype extension in Firefox

This post is just to let you know that there is and issue with Acrobat X and the Skype extension in Firefox.
I don't know why but when both programs (Firefox and Acrobat) are opened and I try to copy something from a PDF I always get an error
message like "Impossible to copy into the clipboard. An internal error occurred".
If I close Firefox or I disable the Skype extension for Firefox everything runs smoothly.
It is really odd, I don't know if it is a problem of Acrobat, Firefox or of Skype....
Are anyone experiencing the same problem?

Just found your post after getting the same problem with Google Chrome and Adobe Reader 10. It doesn't happen all the time but is annoying. If I switch Chrome off the problem is cured. Switch it straight back on and the problem reappears. It has only started after Skype was installed. Thanks for posting - I'll just switch Chrome off for now when I want to copy and paste unless a fix appears.

Acrobat XI, hyphens and password issue

We've recently moved all our macs to Acrobat XI and other CC products.
We've got a *big* issue with Acrobat Pro XI. Several of PDF's made with earlier versions of Acrobat were protected by passwords. And sometimes, due to our naming regulations, the password contains Hyphens. We can still opens our PDF's with Preview ou any web browser with PDF reading capabilities, but, since we use a lot of Acrobat features, it's not a viable option.
So I came here for adivces our maybe a workaround for this painfull issue.

Sadly the PDF's are encrypted when they are created hence the issue…
For the moment the workaround is a pain in the a**, opening the documents with "Preview.app" export the document without any password, re-open it with Acrobat, and put a new password without hyphens…
Well Devs could have easily issued that bug by asking the user which version of Unicode he wants to use…

Acrobat X and OCR Accuracy Issues

Does anyone know if you can assign a custom dictionary to the OCR process?
I have thousands of scanned pages in PDF format that I need to OCR.
When I OCR the same PDFs using another product, I get much better results. Acrobat does not see the same word in the same way twice (swaping "er" endings for where there are "or" word endings). It also misses words that other engines have picked up.
Does it spell check?
I know it is possible to go back and edit, but I have thousands pages to do.
You might also ask -- so why not just use the other product? It does not compress the PDFs the way Acrobat can -- and a two step solution is not desirable (OCR for one part, then move to Acrobat to optimize).

When I attempt to OCR a document with the main language as Japanese, the resulting exported text file does not contain the appropriate unicode characters. There are just periods for the Japanese letter forms. Is there another option that needs to be selected?
