Acrobat X closes immediately when PDF is double clicked

I run CS6 (English) on Windows 8 (German). If I double click a PDF Acrobat opens and immediately closes again. I can drag the PDF document on window head and the document opens fine. I can also click to a PDF that is pinned to the task bar and it opens. But if I double click a PDF document it closes immediately. I'm aware of the EULA bug and also applied the AcrobatFix. Since I'm able to open the documents and no EULA shows up when I open Acrobat it seems to be somethibgn different. It is really annoying.

Partly solution:
I saw that the PDF files where associated with Acrobat Reader which has been updated to version 11. I changed the association to Acrobat X and now I can open the files with a double click again.

I saw that this issue: "3rd party apps close immediately when opened" was happening often on older iPAD posts, however, was not able to find a solution. I cannot open any 3rd party apps, but email, photos, etc work fine. thanks for the help!

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

Just noticed that when I close my mail app by double clicking the home button and swiping up it dies something weird. After doing this when I open my mail, instead of showing all my mailboxes it automatically opens one of them instead. Anyone know why?

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. It's located just below the outside rim of the screen and the bottom of the iPad.
It's the button above with the little square in it.

It sounds like you're seeing some unexpected behavior in Mail.
Before troubleshooting on your computer, I'd strongly recommend backing up your data to an external hard drive with Time Machine, if you haven't already. This article can help with setting up Time Machine:

Next, try creating a new user account on your computer. You can add your email account to Mail in the new user account. If Mail is more responsive in the new user account, then Mavericks is working fine and the behavior is caused by conflicts in your own Mail or user account.

Can you make an exe with labview 6.1 that will open a file when it's double clicked in explorer.
I want to be able to save images with my own extension, and when they are double clicked in explorer my own exe will open and process the image.

It's easier in 7.0 or higher but you can do it with 6.1. Download the file at http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=B123AE0CBBD5111EE034080020E74861&p_... and add this to your VI. Then you can associate a specific file extension with your app in the Windows Folder Options>File Types so that double clicking the file will start your app and pass the file name as a parameter.

Notes app wont work. It closes immediately when I try to open it.

Close JInternalFrame on system menu double click

By default, a JInternalFrame will not close when its system menu (upper-left menu in Windows) is double clicked. I have tried adding a InternalFrameListener, but it is not invoked when I double-click on the system menu. How can I do this?

you mean the icon in the top-left corner? This isn't, as far as I know, actually a system menu thing like a JFrame has. I would suspect you'd have to override the InternalFrameUI classes to add support for that.

Automatic Play of Song When Importing Using Double Click

In previous versions of iTunes, I was able to double click a mp3 file on my desktop, have it copied into my iTunes library, and play automatically. Now, in iTunes 8, the file copies but does not play automatically. Is there a way to re-enable this feature? It is really frustrating because sometimes when I copy the file into the library, it doesn't get selected and I have to look around for it in order to play it. Thanks!

Your tracks have track numbers I hope? If so clicking on header of the Album column until it reads *Album by Artist* should sort you out...

How to capture the field name on a form when it's double-clicked?

I plan to create a two field Help table that uses the thirty or so unique field names on the user form in field one. The second field is a Memo type field that contains the Help information for each field.
Once I know the field name clicked, I will probably use a query to retrieve the help information. I'm planning to use the Double-Click event so the users can double-click any field on the form to be presented the specific field related information
from the Help table.
How can I capture the name of the field that was double-clicked, so I can proceed with this project? Thank you.

Go to Settings>General>Accessability>Assistive touch(in the bottom)
and switch the toggle on. You'll find now a smaal square around your screen.
Touch it aand perform the double click gesture with the virtual home button on the screen.
I think your Home button has been damaged.

Itunes won't appear on the screen when icon is double-clicked

After down-loading some music, I noticed my itunes window was closed. I double-clicked the icon in the dock and nothing opened except I could see the itunes menus at the top of the screen. I can hear songs by double-clicking the track in the hard drive, but no itunes appears on the screen.

once you have the iTunes menu up, go to the Window menu. choose iTunes. do that whenever the window has disappeared. that should solve the problem
