Acrobat X combines several images into one when exporting to HTML

I'm trying to export a PDF that contains a table of text and images to HTML. When I do, Acrobat correctly places the text in an HTML table. The individual images, however, are combined into a single image and appear outside the table. Here's a sample PDF.
The images in the PDF are simple sparklines. They're generated in Excel 2011 (Mac). Excel, bless it, can't export sparklines to HTML on its own. So I'm exporting to PDF instead. When I open the PDF in Acrobat, I can select and manipulate the images individually, so I don't think they're already combined before the PDF>HTML export. They are afterwards, though. Since the total number of rows that need to be exported to HTML is about 2,000, exporting the images from Acrobat individually isn't a working solution.
The image that Acrobat exports doesn't even look that great, but a working export would put me miles ahead of where I am now. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Generic advice, which has been true ever since Acrobat 1.0. The fact that you can convert X to PDF, and PDF to Y, does not mean that this is ever a good way to convert X to Y. Too much information is lost at each stage.

  • How Do I Combine Several Images Into One Image Which Contains Links To A Series Of Web Sites?

    How do I combine several images into one such that the combined image contains a series of web links? In particular, I’d like to create such an image and put it into my Outlook email signature. At present, as per the image below, I have at least six separate images in my email signature with each image containing a web link. Is Photoshop the best tool for this job? Or would it be easier to do this in some other package? I have three packages at my disposal: Photoshop, Ilustrator and Dreamweaver. Can someone please explain in detail how I would do this? Or perhaps someone could direct me to a link that explains how to do this. Thank you.

    Thank you for that correction, Hobotor. I admit I hadn't thought about an image map, in the context of someone who doesn't seem to know HTML very well...  My thinking was running along the use of the Photoshop Slice Tool to get most of the way there...
    To expand on the above, if you were to slice up your image using the Slice Tool, say like this:
    Save for Web & Devices will create the HTML and save all the sub-images.
    Then you edit the HTML and add a (hypertext link) elements surrounding the various images.  Only thing is you'll have to set the border-style of the images to none.
    For example:
    <!-- Save for Web Slices () -->
    <table id="Table_01" width="554" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <tr>
      <td colspan="10">
       <img id="Sig_01" style="border-style:none" src="images/Sig_01.jpg" width="554" height="56" alt="" /></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td colspan="10">
       <a href="http://www.GrahamsWebSite.com"><img id="Sig_02" style="border-style:none" src="images/Sig_02.jpg"
            width="554" height="43" alt="" /></a></td>
    </tr>
    etc.
    A full copy of the HTML and images can be found here...  View Source to see it as an example:

    I just switched to Yosemite, and now I cannot figure out how to combine several pdfs into one document. I rarely need to do this, so I looked at past tutorials, but nothing seems to work. Help!

  • I want to combine 9 images into one so I can get them printed on a card any help or do I need an inexpensive app?

    I would like to combine 9 images into one so that I can print them on a card. Can I do this in i-photo or do I need an inexpensive app?

    No, iPhoto can't do it.  If you have Pages it can be done there very easily.  Drag all of the photos into a Pages page, resize and arrange as necessary.
    Otherwise you'll need a 3rd party image editor that supports layers.
    Some Image Editors That Support layers:
    Photoshop Elements 11 for Mac - $79
    GraphicConverter - $40
    Rainbow Painter - $30
    Imagerie - $38
    Acorn - $50
    Pixelmator - $60
    Seashore - Free
    GIMP for Mac - Free
    Xee 2.1 - free

    How to combine several pdf files into one?

    Combine Files is a feature of Acrobat Pro.  Because Reader Touch does not support the feature (yet), this is not the right forum for the question.
    Here's the Acrobat forum for Creating, Editing & Exporting PDFs.

    You can ask questions and get help from Acrobat experts there.  Good luck!

  • Combining several songs into one album

    I have numerous songs from different artists that I want to combine into one album, so that when I browse using either Cover Flow or Album View, all those songs will be listed under one album. After over two hours of searching on the Internet I found this very useful site:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304389
    The problem that I am encountering is the one illustrated under the heading "Albums with various artists." After following all the recommendations, I am still encountering the same problem - each song is listed under a separate album. Anyone have any idea what to do? For the record I have already tried these remedies:
    -Selected all the songs and changed the album name so that they all have the exact same album name
    -Selected all the songs and changed the album artist name so that they all have the exact same album artist name
    -Selected all the songs and set "compilation" to "yes"
    -In Preferences, under the General tab I checked "Group compilations when browsing"
    Thank you in advance.

    The albums will only show up under the same cover in Cover Flow if you are sorting by Album or Album by Artist.

  • Anyone have experience with combining several projects into one?

    I have four separate projects (they're actually four sections of one movie) I want to combine into one so I can burn them all together onto one DVD.
    The separate discs run approximately 29:00, 29:00, 24:00 and 13:00, for a combined total time of about 1 hour and 35 minutes.
    Now, on the blank DVDs I'm using, it says you can put up to 2 hours of video on them. But I've had people tell me that it's really not a good idea to put more than an hour of video on one disc. (The total size would be 12.4 GB (4GB/3GB/5 GB/0.4 GB), and the disc says that it holds 4.7 GB. But I was told by someone that the size doesn't matter, it's the amount of time that does.)
    I'm a bit nervous about combining everything, because when I was first working on this movie, I had it all together in one project, and right before I was finished with it, the Circling Pinwheel of Doom arose and never went away. I never figured out what happened, but I have a feeling it was because the project was so big. Nothing the people at the Apple Store did made it work, and they deduced the file was corrupted or something, and I had to start all over again.
    (That's why I separated it into four sections this time.)
    So I'm just wondering if anyone else out there has been down this road, and can give me some good words about what or what not to do. Thanks.

    I spoke with AppleCare and they gave me good advice on how to do this.

    I have a PC, and had an old version of photoshop where i was able to select file - automate - photomerge, and then choose the images.  They would appear in a box at the top of the page and then i could drag them into position in a larger box in the center.  as an example, if i had 4 plate images, i could merge them into one with 2 on a row, and then the other 2 below.
    i have been everywhere trying to find out how to do this in this new version without success.  can anyone help???

  • Combining multi photos into one?

    I have taken several shots of a rally car going through a corner with a wide angle and would like to show the different positions of the car in the corner in one photo. the max to combine is 4 into 1

    To combine several photos into one you need a program that can do compositioning. Aperture does not really support graphics compositioning. You will need to use an extertal editor that can layer images and supports alpha channels and transparency, like the the free GIMP, Pixelmator, Graphic Converter, Photoshop, or Photoshop elements.
    With these programs you would be able to extract the cars in the different photos as a mask, make the background trasparent and overlay these masks onto the first image. This will work, provided you kept the camera pointing into exactly the same direction while taking the four pictures. Otherwise you will have to do lens correction as well to make the images match.

  • How do I turn off automatic bookmark creation when combining multiple PDFs into one?

    When I combine multiple PDFs into one, I need Adobe to use the CUSTOM bookmarks I created in the original PDFs. I do NOT want the additional PDF name as a bookmark in this instance. Is there a way to turn this option OFF in Acrobat Professional? I have version 9.

    You can not automatically turn off this action nor can you remove the 'file_name.pdf' heading, but you could add a button or menuitem to remove the 'file_name.pdf' from the bookamarks. Yes, it is one more step to perform when combining PDFs, but is you want until you have all of the PDFs combined you only need do it once.
    Removing filename bookmarks created by Acrobat by Sean Stewart
    From the above article:
    "With the release of Acrobat 6 came the ability to create a composite (binder) document from multiple files, (i.e. File > Create PDF > From Multiple Files.) When this is done, Acrobat automatically inserts a new top level bookmark at the start of each new file. The bookmark title will correspond to the source filename of the source file. While this level of separation can be helpful, it is counterproductive when the user wants the bookmark tree in the merged document to be continuous.
    "Here's a sample JavaScript to remove the top level bookmarks from the bookmark tree. This script will look for a ".pdf" extension to decide whether to remove the bookmark."
    With some additional coding you can add menu item or toolbar button.
