Acrobat X crashes upon closing.

Question

I have Acrobat X 10.1.6, and just installed updates using the download option on the Adobe site, so I'm currently at version 10.1.7. Whenever I try to close Acrobat, it crashes. I thought the security update was supposed to fix this issue. I've seen a lot of traffic regarding this issue, so I was wondering is there a real solution for the problem? A real response or fix is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, I am running the same specs (except Windows 7 32-bit instead of 64-bit) and am experiencing the same problem. Here is the crash data in case it helps someone answer both of us:

In addition, when  tried to run a 'repair installation' I got this message, not sure if it's related:
"Error 1310: Error writing to file: C:\Config.Msi\690e40.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory."
I'm using a private laptop with full administration access.
