Acrobat X, error message "cannot delete pages, pages are in use"

Recently updated to Acrobat X. After saving a pdf, if I try to delete a page or pages, I get an error message "cannot delete pages, pages are in use". I have to close acrobat and reopen my document to continue deleting pages. Is there a fix for this? So far, I think Acrobat 7 was better that X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What OS are you using? Ive read that preview pane in windows vista and 7 causes an issue with the delete page feature. The suggestion was generally to turn the preview feature off.

Can anyone help withe this error message which came about after I deleted a page but it was not deleted from the menu bar:
"Don't know supported attribute for menuitembox U18067 in menu widget U17955 without an associated page!"
Every time I try and launch Muse it crashes and gives this error message.

Error message "Cannot playback image" on Canon 7D using an SDHC card in a CF adapter

Just purchased a new 32GB 45MB/s Sandisk SDHC card and popped it in my CF card adapter for my Canon 7D camera. Started off doing a few trial shots and worked fine. Tried another day and worked fine at the time (or so I thought) Images all visible on the screen on replay.
I then went on a trip to London last night and was happily shooting and looking at the images regularly to check what they were loooking like and everything was initially fine. Half way trhougb the shooting I noiced that I suddenly had an error message appear "Cannot playback image". Just tried downloading onto my PC through Lightroom and nothing to be found. Says the images have not been recorded or maybe corrupted.
Does anyone know
1) How this could have happened please?
2) If there is anyway that I can retrieve the files with this message or are they all likely to be either not there or corrupted if they are there?
( The second test shoot appeared satisfactory at the time and all the images were visible fine but on loading 50% were corrupted)
Any help / advice warmly welcomed please
+ Any free Sandisc recovery programs that might help?

You can try here.
Do not use the card until you try the recovery. In the future stick with CF cards.

Download error message - "Cannot Create File"

Recently I developed a problem and am unable to download anything (files, software, etc) from any website. I begin a download, the download manager comes up and it shows an error message "Cannot Create File." I am using the default manager that is incorporated in OS X 10.3.9.
I never had a problem until a week or so ago when I downloaded a software demo. I decided to get the full software package and trashed the demo files per the company's instructions. I got the error message when I tried to download the full program and now get the message no matter what I attempt to download. Might I have trashed a file I wasn't supposed to trash?
I tried installing 10.3.9 again on my main drive but still have the problem. If I use an external hard drive with spare copy of 10.3.9 and make that my start up drive, I can download files successfully.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem ! Not being able to download a file from the Adobe site. I need Reader 7 to download some files from exact exams but can't do it. Just keep getting the Cannot Creat File message in the download window. Can anyone help?

Error message when deleting page from pdf

Each time I try to delete a page from my pdf, I get the error message "One or more pages are in use and cannot be deleted." What does this mean? The pdf is only open in Acrobat.

This error happens to me occasionally and I have never been able to determine why. Sometimes saving and reopening the file does help, but it doesn't seem to be related to email attachments. Sometimes switching from the Page navigation bar to the Page Toolbar or vice versa helps.

Cannot delete individual pages in Adobe Acrobat X PDF

So annoying. When I try to delete individual pages it gives me the error message "one or more pages are in use and cannot be deleted". I have tried closing the thumbnail page preview pane, selecting the pages and hitting backspace (delete), highlighting and choosing the 'delete page' icon at the top of the toolbar....nothing. I have seen a lot of threads about this issue that are dated 2011 with no solutions. Has anyone out there found the solution?

I have the ipad2 with the latest Os upgrade. On certain websites, I get the following error message: cannot open page. Safari cannot open the page because the network connection was lost. I have rebooted, turned off wifi and reset the password.

This is happening to only certain websites. Unfortunately, the work ones that I need to access. I appreciate any help.

Do you have any other browsers on your iPad? If you don't have one, why don't you try downloading one of these free browsers - they will all be "lite" versions (not full featured) - but if you can access these websites with one of those - then I assume that we can point to Safari as being the culprit. That will not solve the Safari problem, but it will give us another point from which to work.

I have Mercury, iCab Mobile, Opera, Dolphin and Atomic. iCab Mobile - the paid version is great.
BTW ... have you tried to access these sites from another WiFi connection - like a library, a friend's house - any other WiFi network?

Why do I get the error message "unable to load page (HTTP 502) when I try to open Mobile Web?

I have an LG Octane 3 basic phone.   Does everything I need, phone and text, and I never was interested in web or e-mail capabilities until I recently upgraded our plan to the "More Everything" and was able to use data and check e-mail and access the internet.   Whenever I try to open Mobile Web, I get the error message "unable to load page (HTTP 502)".    As of March 31, 2015, all of us basic phone users lose the "Mobile Email" app on our phones, and will have to access web versions of our e-mail via the web. Which is currently unavailable and doesn't work.
Over a week ago, did a chat session with a tech support rep, and she indicated that either she or an engineer would contact me with how to fix the problem.   Have not heard anything from anybody, and the deadline is approaching quickly.   Have no need of all the excess features of a smart phone, nor do I wish to be forced to jettison a perfectly working phone for my needs and buy something I don't want to be able to do 2 simple things.............check e-mail to see if there's something that needs to be answered right away, and to check traffic reports when I'm on the road, or find something in an area with which I'm not familiar.     Not really too much to ask, you would think....   )
Has anyone else had this same problem, and if so, how do we fix it....??? My next move is a phone call, but those haven't always been very productive.
If any of you have any ideas why this error keeps coming up and the web can't load, and some on how to fix it, I would really appreciate some advice.

Since the chat session got no reply, I contacted Verizon by phone and a very nice level 2 tech created a trouble ticket and sent it up the food chain. Got a call back, maybe 2 days later, and had a nice, although very long session with a higher level tech. They had determined that the browser for the LG Octane is an old one and no longer supported by Verizon.    We tried everything we could to download the Opera browser, but since I was totally unable to get Mobile Web to work, couldn't do it.   The only other possible "fix" was to totally reset the phone to factory specs and try it again.   That would mean a lot of work on my part to move anything I didn't want to disappear off the phone, and find a place to forward texts that had to be saved.   Caught our tenants lying about why the rent was late (again), and need that for when I put them back on a lease....
Long story short is that unless we try this total reset, which isn't a sure fix, either, anyone who isn't able to access the Mobile Web with the LG Octane will have to change their plan to avoid paying for data that you can't access using any method.
I ran a test with an app that I knew was no longer valid.....that was sending photos to PixPlace.   Got the exact same error message as when trying to access Mobile Web to get the web version of my e-mail.   That just verified that the 502 error is, at least in the LG Octane, for an app that no longer works.   After today, we'll get the same thing when we try to access Mobile E-Mail.
Have to admit, it's a real ****-off, but this shouldn't surprise me, since Verizon won't repair older copper phone lines if you are in an area where FIOS is offered.
I am going to immediately change my husband's and my cell phone plan to one without data, and see what I can find that will still give unlimited calls and text. The way my luck runs, they won't offer one for a decent price. The other half has some very long-winded friends and he was always running over minutes, and some months are very text-heavy and I'd go over my limit.   Absolutely HATE touch screens, and am not looking forward to having to get a new phone.

For the Manager Self-Service application we’ve copied various workflows which were modified to meet business needs. Part of this exercise was creating custom PL\SQL Package Procedures that would gather details on the WF using them on custom notification sent by the WF.
What I’m looking for is if/when the PL\SQL procedure errors, how does one send an failure message back and display it on the SS Page?
Writing information into a log or table at the database level works for trouble-shooting, but we’re looking for something that will provide the end-user with an intelligent message that the workflow has failed.

We have implemented the same kind of requirement long back.
We have defined our PL/SQL procedures with two OUT parameters
1) Result Type (S:Success, E:Error)
2) Result Message
In the PL/SQL procedure we always use below construct when we want to raise any message

I have internet connection (status upper left) but get the message "Cannot open the page". This also applies for my email

I have checked all that is to be found on the internet and in the apple itunes to get the connectivity.
When I check the router, the iPod touch is listed. Also when I check the iPod, in the upper corner left is stated that I have connectivity.
However when I want to go to an internet site, I get the message "Cannot open the page" this is also shown when I start my email?

Try:
- Reset the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
-Power off and then back on yor router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

You haven't provided much information, such as what type of router you have? If you entered the encryption key as the password as opposed to the router name you have selected? If you have WEP or WPA? We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
What have you tried to fix it ? Have you tried closing the Videos app via the iPad's multitasking bar and seeing if it plays properly when you re-open then app ? Have you tried a soft-reset of your iPad ? If neither of those fix it then are you in a country where films can be redownloaded (assuming that it's not a rental) ? If you are then delete it from the Videos app and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app.
If you can't redownload it (e.g. if it's a rental) then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Error message "cannot open address book file" thunderbird freezes

If I try to write an e-mail i get an error message "cannot open address book file". Then the program freezes, and I can not close the page, and none of the features of thunderbird works.
