Acrobat x pro crashes (error 6) under domain user account

Acrobat X Pro (installed under CS6 Suite) crashes when run under a domain users account (receives error 6, uninstall/reinstall product). I've done this many times with the same result. My feeling is that the problem is related to permissions/rights issues as the product works fine when logged into the local administrator account. Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

  • Acrobat 8 Pro crashing on an OD/AD user account?

I'm doing some testing on a client mac (24", 2.16, 10.4.9). The user account is Active Directory who authenticates via Open Directory on a Mac OS X Server (10.4.9). The user account is set up as an Administrator
We recently installed Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, but it crashes constantly, within about a minute of launching. We tested it on Local user accounts and encountered no errors whatsoever. The end user called Adobe support and was told to call Apple. Clearly there is some issue here because the account authenticates against a server.
Any ideas? Web search didn't yield any solid answers. The only suggestion I've found so far was to do a permission fix, which I did, but that didn't have any effect and problem continues.
    Thanks

is the home directory a local or on the server?

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Reinstallation Errors

My hard drive crashed on my computer (replaced with new one) and I had to reinstall my Adobe CS5 and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. All of CS5 reinstalled fine. However, everytime I reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, it errors every time. It will install, but whenever you open the program, it immediately stops working and errors out saying Adobe Acrobat 9.3 stopped working. Windows cannot find a solution and then closes.
It never gives me the chance to enter my product key or register the product. I went to the Adobe Product page and tried downloading and installing all the updates, but nothing works. No matter what I do it closes right away. Any ideas?
My PC is on Windows 7 - I had to initially install Acrobat on this PC when I got it a year or so ago and it worked fine. Not sure what's changed.
    Thanks.

I just tried reinstalling it - again, it wasnt giving me the option to register it or anything. Would close the minute I opened Acrobat.
So I opened the Acrobat Distiller that installed with Acrobat and that asked me to accept the agreement and register the product. Once I did that - Acrobat started working again!

  • Acrobat XI Pro crashes when saving as a reduced size PDF in version 11.0.07

Since upgrading to the v 11.0.7 update, Acrobat XI Pro crashes every time I try to "save as" a reduced size PDF.  I have tried several different settings, but still crashes.

You might try to setup the page size in the Adobe PDF printer and then print to the printer. I assume you are using PDF Maker (create PDF) and that may be the problem. You might also open the preferences in PDF Maker and turn off most of the options - none should be needed for a single page since you would likely not be using transitions, bookmarks, etc.
Just as a test, you may want to just start with printing ot the Adobe PDF printer, but you will likely get the default paper size with the PPT shrunk to fit.

My Acrobat 9 pro crashed on my PC using XP.  I deleted it and tried to reinstall.  It asked for my license for 9, 7 and 6.  I put in the 9 & 7 license which I have.  How do I get the version 6 license.  Is there a live person at Adobe & how do I reach them??

You have the upgrade serial number for Acrobat 9that is why it is asking the previous qualifying serial number, I am sending you the serial number of Acrobat 6 & 7 by private messaging, you can your self find them by using Find your serial number quickly

acrobat x pro crashes when I try to flatten a pdf after using typewriter to insert a date.
Has anybody else seen this problem? Is there a fix?
I wanted to download the demo of acrobat XI but it says the previous version will be removed and deactivate the license. That sucks!

Yes it is up to date.
I can use the stamp tool and flatten it after with no problems, but the typewriter tool crashes it upon attempting to flatten.

    Hi Kennith ,
Does it crashes when you try to print any of the PDF or happens with any specific PDF?
Are you trying to print with a conventional printer or the Adobe Printer ?

  • "Unable to check revocation" error while checking CDP from non-domain user account

    Hi!
    I use 3-tier PKI infrastructure:
    Stand-alone offline Root CA: RootCA;
    Stand-alone offline Intermediate subordinate CA: SubCA;
    Enterprise CA: EntSubCA.
In certificate we have three CDP point for CRL check:
    ldap:///, http:// and file://
I have Windows 2008 R2 server joined to domain.
I use command certutil –verify –urlfetch <filename.cer> >check.txt for revocation checking of certificate.
When I use domain user account for revocation checking, all OK.
I have access to any CDP and all fine.
But when i use local server user account, I haven't access to ldap:/// and process failed although all other links is OK.
My question is "why check fail with non-domain user accout while other CDP point succesfully verifed"?
Here is the logfile from local user:

What you have discovered is the reason to *not* use LDAP URLs for CDP and AIA extensions in your PKI. To access those URLs, the account must access to the URLs. In your output, it is quite clear that the local account does not have necessary permissions
(you also use FILE URLs for publication, which again is not recommended).
The best practice is to use a single URL for the CDP extension. It should be an HTTP URL that is hosted on a highly available (internally and externally accessible) Web cluster.
For the AIA extension, it should contain two URLs: one for the CA certificate - again to an internally and externally accessible, highly available Web cluster and one for the OCSP service - also
an internally and externally accessible, highly available Web cluster.
the other issue is that the root CA is *not* trusted when run by a non-domain account. How are you adding the trusted root CA. It is recommended to do this by running
    certutil -dspublish -f RootCA.crt.
This will ensure that the computer account trusts the root CA. In your output, the root CA certificate is not trusted.

    Hi,
As you may know, in versions 10gR1 and higher, Oracle recommends the use of dbms_scheduler instead of dbms_job.
You can easily create jobs in other user's schemas using dbms_scheduler, but this is not supported in dbms_job.
dbms_ijob is an Oracle internal package which should never be called directly (it is neither supported or recommended by Oracle and doing any updates may break this usage). What you should be doing is connecting as that user and then using dbms_job.submit (or better yet using dbms_scheduler.create_job).
The error message you are getting is because you are not calling the internal procedure correctly. This procedure is not officially documented by Oracle and your use of it will not be supported by Oracle.
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 Won't Work Under One User Account in Windows Vista 32-bit

My Logitech HD Webcam C920 seems to work fine online on Flash Player under all user accounts except one.  How do I fix this without having to delete that user account?

Thing is (and this is just basic troubleshooting principles):
If it works (under any account at all), - it ISN'T the camera, or it wouldn't work at all. Likewise, if it DIDN'T work under any account, it COULD be the camera.
If it works (under any account at all), - it ISN'T flash player, or it wouldn't work at all. Likewise, if it DIDN'T work under any account, it COULD be Flash Player.
So the problem HAS to be specific to this one account, and some setting(s) for the account, since the plug-in and hardware have already been proven to be working.
Unless you can pinpoint what setting for this one accoiunt is preventing it from working, you'll most likely have to create a new account to use it.
