Acrobat X Pro Drop-down Fields Do Not Appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Help!

Hello,
I am having a problem getting drop-down fields to appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Basically, I need to create a form that includes drop-down fields, with the end result being a form that can be viewed and completed on an iPad, using the Adobe Reader app. Above all else, the end result needs to be viewable on an iPad.
I created a form using Acrobat X Pro within which drop-down fields work flawlessly. However, when I try to open this form on an iPad, the drop-down fields do not even appear. I have done some investigating on the Web (including these forums) and come to understand that this has to do with javascript limitations on Apple products, but have yet to discover a solution to my problem.
To summarize: does anyone know how to make drop-down fields appear in Abobe Reader for iPad app? Or, does anyone know a workaround in which I could have a drop-down menu (or something similar) in my form and have it work on Adobe Reader for iPad?

Thanks for the reply. I experienced the issue running the most recent version of the Adobe Mobile Reader app. I'm not sure I can convince the client to use anything else, but its worth a shot.
All I need is a simple drop-down list (multiple fields in the document) with 4 options that the user can select and submit as a form. Is this something EZ Pdf reader can do? Also, is EZ Pdf Reader free? (the reason I ask is I am an Android user and do not readily have access to a iPad).

Regarding using an order form in adobe reader for iPad, I am able to check boxes, free form text, etc. but drop down fields are not retaining selection. I will click drop down, make selection, and field is still blank. If I select the same drop down my choice is checked. When I email form the field remains blank.
Any help would be appreciated!!

Thank you for the response. I am currently using Adobe 11.01. I believe I have found the problem. Our company utilizes an app names "Showpad" for our sales teams. Within Showpad you can open PDF's, however any interactive functionality is not available. To solve for this, you can open a PDF within Showpad and then "open with" a different app. In this case, I opened with Adobe Reader. It looks like all the functionality returns to the document minus that drop down issue I am experiencing.
I tried to open the same order form from my email using Adobe Reader and all functionality is available (including drop down).
It looks as though something is getting lost between the Showpad app and Adobe Reader app.

We're working on EP7 for CRM 5.0... from a particular user (let's say user :ab), while creating a <b>new</b> : Account, Lead, Activity etc. the <b>drop down menu under the button New does not appear</b>..instead it throws an explorer error (error in line 126...access denied etc.)
rest of the users with the same role (in the back-end & front-end) are working perfectly. we have tried re-assigning the role and also changing the buffer parameter but still the drop down list does not appear... kindly suggest me a solution.

i have found out the "solution" to the problem, i had changed the default value of the date from (DD.MM.YYYY to Islamic date ) field in SU01 for that user , now when i revert the changes back to the default value, it works fine...and he's able to see the values in the drop-down now.
the customer still needs the Islamic dates.... so half the prob. is solved, the other half remains unanswered ..... kindly advise
any idea why would the date change cause the menu not to populate?

Navigation Drop Down Menu Does Not Appear Correctly with Internet Explorer.

Website was designed with Dreamweaver CS5 on a Mac. The navigation drop down menu does not appear correctly with Internet Explorer. When you mouse over a navigation option that has a drop-down menu, the drop-down portion appears on top of the first level. Hope someone can help me out.Thanks!

Fillable Form will not print from Adobe Reader on iPad or iPhone - Works on a PC

I created a fillable form in Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I saved it giving it full Adobe Reader capabilities. I emailed it to myself and a friend so that we could open it up on our iPad and iPhone using Adobe Reader, fill in the information and then print the document. When we send to print, it only prints the form, but not anything we entered. When I opened the document in Adobe Reader on my Dell PC, it worked fine and I could print the document including everything that I entered. What could the glitch be with iPad and iPhone. We are running the latest IOS6 version with Adobe Reader installed. Why won't this work?

It should work with the update to Reader 10.4. "Enhaned compatibility with AirPrint means improved printing of completed forms as well as documents with comments."
I don't have AirPrint on my printer to test. Is your printer AirPrint compatible?

My excursion through the search engine has produced the idea of adding #page = requesting page to the URL but I have not had time to try it perhaps without the = sign.

My Drop down list won't work in Adobe Reader 9

I have a form that I created in Adobe Designer 7 but have opened and saved in Adobe Designer 9 (also redid the connection string, because it didn't like 7's). Now I can open and use the form normally in Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 and 9 and in the PDF previews of both Designers. But Adobe Reader 9 won't let the drop down list function the way it is supposed to. Also my form has fields that are binded to a SQL Server 2K5 database.
Now if Adobe Reader does not allow database connections or fields binded to them, is there a way to get similar functionality in any way?

Reader Extended? Is that when you open the PDF in Acrobat Pro, go to Advanced, and click "Extend Features in Adobe Reader"? I did that and it still didn't work. Matter of fact it locked up the PDF when I tried to open it in Acrobat Pro 7 or 9.

Adobe Reader for iPad mini IOS 8.0 will not load???

Loaded, deleted, multiple times. Restarted iPad multiple times. Will not load. Opens with blank screen, stays blank forever.

Here are a couple of things that you could try.
If you have iCloud backup before the iOS 8.0.2, you can restore the content of your iPad. See iCloud - Backup - Apple Support
You can completely uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader for iOS. Before you uninstall Reader, please be sure to make the backup of your PDF documents on your iPad. How to backup and restore PDF documents on your iPad/iPhone using iTunes
As a last resort, you could completely reset your iPad to factory settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset, and tap Erase All Content and Settings. Please note that you will lose all of your application data (including preferences) stored on your iPad if you do this. But you can download and install all of your free & paid apps again.
If none of the above works, it could be a hardware problem with your iPad. You may want to visit the Genius Bar at your nearby Apple Store.

The bookmarks in my drop-down menu do not appear when I try to "organize bookmarks". When I try to bookmark a page, the folders in the drop-down menu do not appear as choices.

The trouble started when I transferred applications from my old computer. When I click "bookmarks", all my bookmarks are there. When I try to "Organize Bookmarks", it acts like I have no bookmarks. When I try to "Bookmark this page", it does not show all the folders that are in the drop-down menu. There are a number of bookmark files in the appdata\mozilla\firefox\profiles area, none of which are complete. I tried a backup and restore in the organize menu and a backup was created, but I don't know what was backed up. I suspect nothing was backed up. When I clicked a restore, nothing happened.

I'm not familiar with Windows 7, but... is it possible there is a permissions problem with your profile folder, or read-only set on any database files?

File format drop down menu does not appear in the export dialogue box

I am trying to export a book project as individual jpeg files and I can't see the drop down menu to choose what file format I want to export the file as. All I can do is export it as a .pdf which does not help me.

What program are you using? This is the main Creative Cloud Application forum. This needs to be in the forum that matches the program you are using.

How do I tab over to a new text field in adobe reader for iPad?

Currently I have to touch each field to select it but it so much easier to be able to tab from field to field while typing. If I press the tab key currently it unselects the field I was typing in and then if I press a second time the whole app closes. How can I change this?

It looks like you are using a bluetooth keyboard. This is supposed to work, but I just confirmed that our current release does indeed exhibit the behavior you described. I'll file a bug and hopefully we can get this into our next release. My apologies for the issue!

Menu does not appear in adobe reader XI

I am using Adobe Reader XI in windows XP. Menus dont appear when i click an item on the menu bar or right click in the open space. This thing occurs in my system for Adobe reader only. In rest of the applications in my system menus appear and it works fine.

I was going to suggest a "repair" of the Reader... but that's done from the Help menu, which doesn't appear.
Plan B
Download the Adobe Cleaner tool to completely remove Reader from your system, and then download the offline installer to replace it.
If it doesn't work after that, get back to us here and we'll look at some registry settings to fix it.

Photos not appearing in adobe reader

I've created a pdf from a Pages document using the print dialog and and the photos contained in the pdf won't appear using Adobe Reader (I'm running Snow Leopard), but they do display using Quick Look and Preview. My neighbor has a Mac (running Lion) and the photos appear in Adobe Reader (same version as mine 9.4.6 - latest available). Any clues what might be the problem?

For future reference... if you have the trial version installed and plan to buy it after trying it out, there is no need to uninstall it. It can be activted to full use with the serial number from your purchase.
You should still be able to download and install the trial version and use your serial number to activate it.
