Acrobat X recognizes text in PDF while Acrobat XI does not

At my work I receive weekly bookmarked PDFs that are a mix of pages, some with renderable text and some just scans, which I run the "recognize text" feature of Acrobat Pro on to OCR and properly rotate the scanned pages so they can be marked up. I recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro XI from X. However, running "recognize text" on these PDFs no longer does anything, as Acrobat Pro XI says that all of the pages contain renderable text. I had a co-worker try Acrobat X on the same file, worked fine. I've also tried using a different installation of Acrobat Pro XI (not only on another computer but a different platform as well), and encountered the same problem as mine. Any suggestions? This has happened two weeks in a row now, am thinking of going back to Acrobat Pro X if I can't get this sorted out. Thanks in advance for any help.

Should be the same but it isn't. I have included a screenshot of my tools choices in both my Mac and PC versions - they are totally different.

Did you ever install Acrobat? It is not installed automatically with CS, but requires an extra installation step.

WCF returning "The content type text/html of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8)"

I have a WCF service I am trying to run on a new installation of 64-bit Windows Server 2008 IIS. Although it runs fine on Windows 2003 IIS, it is throwing the error in the thread title, which appears to be a server config issue, but I am not sure. Googling and searching the MSDN forums did not turn up a solution. I tried running WCF Logging, but that didn't help either.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this probelm?

I have the same service hosted on my local machine and when I point to the local service I can execute the operation with no issues. The message encoding is Soap11. I tried changing to Soap12 but I get exact same error. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
I do have windows Activation Features installed and I am using .Net Framework 4.

You should be able to Save as: iWork 08, but i don't know how it works on Mountain Lion. On my Snow Leopard the Save as window has a part looking like this

Per my knowledge,
it is by design that the data type multiple lines of text can only use “contains” and “begins with” operators.
You can also filter the list view using SharePoint Designer,
Open your list AllItem.aspx page in SPD ->click “Filter” > in “Field Name” select your multipe line of text field, in “Comparison” will displayed four choices.

AlsO sometimes I. Cannot hear anything in normal speaker even though the call Is going through and has been re ieved on the other end, I have to enable speaker and then disable it to route audio to normal speakers

I think that it is something wrong with kernel and graphic drivers but i'm not able to solve it from the beginning of using of Arch by me.
I'm not so sure this issue is software-related only because in my case it seems the laptop screen enters power-saving mode (10-min timeout) on its own without any events logged (as shown by dmesg) so my next thought was OK, I'm going to get rid of this issue disabling the screen power-saving timeout in the BIOS and set it to never power down or something like that and from then on managing power mode manually; ie: when I want to power down I will just use systemctl suspend/hibernate which work fine ... problem is: there are no related options in my BIOS for such timeout.
The only timeouts I have are in /etc/systemd/logind.conf set to 30min (#IdleActionSec) (commented) by default so these are not in effect because the screens goes blank after 10m which is less than the (default) 30m in logind. Maybe setting loggind to 9m (un-commented) to catch the event before the machine-default one ?

Bulk convert text to PDF with Acrobat

Hi. When I convert a text file to PDF with Acrobat X Pro the character spacing in the resulting file is incorrect. The columns of numbers which do correctly line up in the text file, do not line up correctly in the PDF file. I adjust the settings for the conversion in the CREATE PDF FROM WEB PAGE box and I choose a fixed-width font. If I use Adobe PDF Converter (the printer driver) the result is perfect. If I open the text file with Microsoft Word and then convert it to PDF with PDFMaker, it is also perfect. I want to use Acrobat so that I can bulk convert my 300 text files to PDF. Thank you for responding LoriAUC. I have 300 (*.txt) files that I only ever open with Notepad. I don't every open them in a web browser. I want to bulk convert them to PDF. The orientation of the resulting PDFs must be landscape. It appears that the only way to select LANDSCAPE in Acrobat is to adjust the settings in the CREATE PDF FROM WEB PAGE box. It seems that Acrobat uses its HTML Conversion Engine to convert text files to PDF. When I do this and then bulk convert them using Bulk Convert Files to PDF, the orientation is correct, that is, landscape instead of the default portrait setting, however the character spacing is imprecise and the columns of data are wavy.

Acrobat Pro "save as" function in the file menu does not show the current directory of the file

I have installed CC but Acrobat Pro gives me headaches.
The "save as" function in the file menu does not show the current directory of the file but something I have worked on in the past.
It forces me to navigates through my hard disk for this very straightforward thing in normal conditions. I precise: Acrobat is the only software reacting like that.
I use Windows7 professional 64bits.

I use what seems to be the latest version available on the Cloud:
To illustrate my point, I open a directory with explorer and double-click on the only PDF in there:

When I do a "Save as", it takes me to a totally different place on the disk!
Very annoying...
