Acrobat X Standard installation issues

I have installed and uninstalled my Adobe Acrobat X Standard version disc numerous times, but still have the same issue. The disc came with my Fujitsu ix500 Scansnap. I have windows 7 sp1. We have our own domain and my PC is on a network. If I log into my PC as the administrator the Acrobat is fully functional. If I log on to my PC as myself I do not have full functions with the program. We have checked my user profile in the control panel and I am set as an administrator with full rights to my PC. Has anyone had this issue?

Ok so If I am in a PDF document and I want to add a header or footer I access the tools and under Edit Page Design I choose Header & Footer, and then add header & footer from the drop down screen. the Add Header and Footer screen comes up. Doesn't matter what I type in the header and footer text boxes nothing moves to the document, and for that matter I don't have any header/footer preview boxes in the Preview section of that screen. There are no error messages that pop up.
If I log into my PC as the administrator I can add text and see that text in the preview boxes of that screen and it transfers to the document.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 standard installation issues

I have Adobe acrobat Standard 9 and I just reformatted my hard drive and tried to reinstall my product serial number 1016157926356497980XXXXX and it says that 2 of 2 licenses were already installed.  I don't know how that is possible given I have only installed it on this computer.  Please wipe the data clean so I can install again.
    Thanks.

    Hello dabigman52,
Adobe Forums are public so please don't post your product serial numbers. Currently I have edited that in your orginal post.
I would suggest to contact Adobe Customer Service regarding this# http://helpx.adobe.com/in/contact.html

  • Acrobat 8 standard installatio issue: can't access \startup

I attempted to install Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard (Italian) on
several Windows XP clients, but I get a message saying "Impossibile
accedere al percorso di rete \Startup" that sounds like "Impossible
to access the network path \Startup".
I made several tests and I can confirm that:
    - The Office installation path exists in the registry and is
    correct
    - The user attempting to install have administrator rights
    - The folder \Startup exists inside the Office installation
path and the user can access it
    - No roaming profiles are implemented
How can I troubleshoot and solve this issue?

John, thank you for your time. I did bring up the task manager, but acrobat does not appear under the applications tab. I have not had this problem in the past and feel that Acrobat may be corrupted. I would like to remove it completely and re-install. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove it? It is non-responsive using control panel/add-remove programs and I can not find an uninstaller in the Adobe folder C:/Program files/Adobe.
    Again, many thanks.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Installation Files

    Hello,
I bought me a new Laptop. At the pre installed configuration there is a license for Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard included.
But there was no installation files.
Can everyone give me a hint where I can find them
    seidi

    Hi,
the installation files are integrated in the recovery procedure and are not stand alone.
It is a Sony Vaio but I expect to get no answer from Sony.
Are there anywhere the installation available at the web because a product key is available

  • Acrobat 9 Standard Image Issues using Word 2007

    Hi,
I have just purchased and installed Acrobat 9 Standard on an XP Pro machine with Office 2007.
Using the Acrobat add in (PDFMaker?) I am having issues with images (specifically graphs), they are coming out with the text upside down and no graph data inside the axis.
I have tried using Distiller by saving to file as a PS and then opening and converting in Distiller which produces the graphs fine but doesnt add bookmarks - manually adding the bookmarks is not an option.
I would be happy with a solution using either of the adobe technologies.
    Thanks,
    Adrian

Unfortunately that isn't really possible, the data is sensitive. I can try and explain it better though....
Here is an example of the kind of graph (chromatogram) that we might put in a Word doc:
    http://www.wcaslab.com/gif/EPA556chromatogram.gif
When that is PDFd the graph content is gone:
    http://www.business-analysis-made-easy.com/image-files/xy-axis.gif
and the individual axis numbers are upside down, but still in the right order. So if the Y-Axis reads:
    1.0
    0.8
    0.6
    0.4
    then it would read:
    upside down 1.0
    upside down 0.8
    upside down 0.6
    etc etc
Hopefully that explains a little better.

  • Acrobat 8 Standard installation file?

    Hi,
Not sure if it's the right place, but is there a downloadable file to install Acrobat 8 standard (full) somewhere?
we set up a new PC we have to connect to the net and run through the updates.  Problem is sometimes we don't have net access easily available and if I had the actual install file on disk/USB it would save me a lot of issues.
Can someone point me in the right direction if it's avaiolable please.
    Thanks in advance.

The install file would be what you have on CD or downloaded from the Adobe Store with the program on it. The updates can be downloaded from Adobe.com>Downloads>updates.

  • Acrobat 8 standard installation program rejects my serial number, says it's "invalid"

I have a genuine product of Acrobat 8 Standard, and when I put the serial number in the installation program, I get rejected. The program says my s.n. is invalid.
    How do I solve this?

Was your AA8 an upgrade? If so, the S/N requested may have been for the prior version, not 8. You have to provide both the old and new S/Ns for an upgrade. For Win7 you will need to do the updates. For Win8, you may have to purchase the new version.

  • Acrobat XI Standard Installer Needed

Unfortunately I do no longer find the installer file and could not find a download option on the adobe website. How can I get access to the installer? This is somewaht urgent, as I do work with acrobat on a daily basis.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Kazibo,
Yes you can download the product if you have the serial no.#.
    Please visit the below mentioned link, you will be able to download the product as a trial and after 30 days it will prompt you to put in the serial no#;

  • Acrobat XI Standard installation fails Error 1714?

I cannot get Acrobat XI Standard to install completely.  I have tried many things, without success.  It will run to a point but then hit a wall.  I have version 8 and others still on the computer; I have tried to completely uninstall them, but could not do that either.
    It stops at this point:  Removing applications {AC76BA86-1033-F400-BA7E-000000000003}
And I get this message:  Error 1714.  The older version of Adove Acrobat XI STandard cannot be removed.  Contact your technical support group.
Setup Interrupted.  Your system has not been modified.  To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.

I ran the cleaner, hoping to remove Acrobat 8.  Although it says it is for Acrobat 9, it did finish and gave a "completed" message.  But the log shows many tasks could not be completed.
Then I ran the Acrobat 11.0 setup disk, and it does appear to have loaded completely.  Thanks!!
Can you help me delete the artifacts?
When I go to C:\Program Files\Adobe, there are folders for Acrobat 11.0, Acrobat 8.0, Adobe Help Viewer, Flash Player, Reader 11.0, and Acrobat 7.0.
The Acrobat 8.0 folder contains 8 subfolders and occupies 293 MB.
The Acrobat 7.0 folder contains a Setup Files subfolder and occupies 34.3 MB.
I need disk space and also hope to avoid future conflicts; is there a way to remove Acrobat 8.0 and Acrobat 7.0 entirely?  Neither Acrobat 8 nor Acrobat 7 appears in the Add or Remove Programs list.
Can I delete any of the others?

  • SharePoint 2010 - Acrobat X Standard integration issue

I don't see the "File > SharePoint Server" option on one computer and would like to know what settings to change.
I go to the SharePoint library, click the drop-down arrow, Check Out.  I get prompted to "Open, Save, or Cancel" and no option for "Checkout & Open".  The pdf opens in Adobe Acrobat.  When I click the File tab, I do not see the "SharePoint Server" option.  The issue is isolated on this computer.
I've checked the registry setting to make sure that SharePoint integration is not disabled.  This computer runs Windows 7 Enterprise SP1, Acrobat X Standard, IE 8.  The other computer where the integration works also has the same versions.
    Please advise.

Granted that my post is many months after the original, but I am surprised by lack of troubleshooting document available for SharePoint integration.  Similar posts on this forum are answer-less.  My scenario:  From the same client machine, the SharePoint Server menu will appear for one SharePoint farm/address and not for another.  My assumption at this point is that this rules out client and/or browser settings or dependencies.  Here's hoping that a more current "me too" post on this forum may generate some response from Adobe, or a kind soul that has travelled this road before.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard License Issue

Adobe 9 Standard software was bought pre-installed on my Dell workstation (Windows XP).  Now when trying to open the program fresh from the start bar, it tries to install the program.  Yet if I open a saved PDF, the program opens fine but displays an error message relating to a problem with my serial number, allowing me 30 days to resolve. Also the s/n which appears on the error message is not complete and looks different from the original disk I found.  Problem there is ou company bought several computers during that time and the CD disks may have become mixed.  What to do?  Thanks.

Thank you for your reply, and confirming that you never owned an earlier version. $139 is the price for an upgrade. On Adobe's web site, if you say "I want to buy: upgrade" you have to choose from another box where you pick "I own" and must choose between "Acrobat X Standard" and "Acrobat 9 Standard". Since you don't own either of them that is not a valid purchase. You should have chosen "I want to buy: Full" at a price of $299.
[Did something different happen on Adobe's web site; if so it would be interesting to hear, but the solution is still the same...]
Since what you have purchased isn't something you can run, you'll need to contact Adobe for a refund.

  • Will an Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Upgrade license work to upgrade an Adobe Acrobat XI Standard installation?

The buying guide for the XI Pro Upgrade (here - Buying guide | Adobe Acrobat XI Pro) does not list Adobe XI Standard in the left hand column... but I currently have XI Standard and want to to go XI Pro, will this work?

    Hi Mike ,
There is no such policy to upgrade license from Acrobat XI Standard to Acrobat XI Pro.
If you have the subscription for the Standard version ,you need to get that cancelled and get a new subscription for Acrobat Pro.
If you have the retail version or if you have purchased the software ,you can return that and get a new retail version for Acrobat XI Pro.
For more information ,please contact the technical support.
