Acrobat X standard v 10.0.0  upgrades

Are updates for Adobe X Standard v 10.0.0 available?

Whenever you have problems with the updates from the help menu, you can also do them from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows (or MAC equivalent). With XI, Adobe has done things a bit differently and you can just apply 11.0.07 and skip the other updates. For previous versions, updates usually required installation of the whole string of updates, not just the last one.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Serial wrongly adivses to be an Upgrade Serial

    Hello.
I've got a few Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard CDs right here. I've installed some of them without problems, the 2 left though are giving me the same problem:
They are recognizing the serial as a serial for an "upgrade version". Meaning i've got to enter the serial from an earlier version (6, 7, 8), which I of course have not.
If I am in need of further information I am supposed to go to www.adobe.com. So here I am because I can't find a hint of a number to call.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    thanks.

    Hi enruaji,
The systems on which it installed fine, did they have any earlier versions of Acrobat installed?
Please send a private message to me the serial number and I will check if it's an upgrade serial number or retail.
If it's an upgrade serial number then it needs to be unlocked to be able to install.

    Rave

  • Does a volume license for Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard entitle me to make an upgrade to Adobe Acrobat VI Standard?

Does a volume license for Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard entitle me to make an upgrade to Adobe Acrobat VI Standard?

It's XI not VI (roman numerals for eleven).
Probably not. It does depend to an extent on the volume licensing program that is in use. Some programs include update rights - that doesn't mean you can buy an upgrade, it means the program manager can get upgrades.
If you are one of those people who have a volume license "cut off" from your program manager e.g. after leaving a company, I think that is the end of the line.

  • I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Serial No. and would like to upgrade to the Microsoft Windows 8 and the Office Professional Edition 2013.

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard [serial number removed by moderator] and would like to upgrade to the Microsoft Windows 8 and the Office Professional Edition 2013.

    Hi w james,
As you mentioned that you are upgrading your Operating System to Windows 8 and MS Office to MS Office Professional 2013, please note that Adobe Acrobat 9 is not compatible with Windows 8 and MS Office 2013. You need to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat XI as it is fully compatible with Windows 8 and MS Office 2013.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI Standard for Windows upgrade to Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for OS X

I have changed the platforms, from win to mac, and Adobe Acrobat is required for my work. I own Adobe Acrobat XI Standard for Windows and I was interested if I could change the platform to OS X, but unfortuantelly XI Standard is not available for mac. Also, I could not find a way on Adobe.com site to upgrade XI Standard to XI Pro and then change the platform.
    Please advise.

I believe Adobe have been known to deal with "crossgrades" before, but you would need to contact sales in person to deal with this.

  • Have Acrobat 9 Standard License, but cannot re-install to upgrade to XI

    Hello.
I have Acrobat 9 Standard, but have switched hardware to a device that does not have a CD/DVD drive.  I want to reinstall so I can update to Acrobat XI.
The problem is that when I looked at the purchase flow to do that, the file is an "upgrade" file, not the full version of Acrobat XI.  The old Acrobat download page here: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html only has the Pro versions which my license key is not valid.
All other avenues I tried to get a 9 Standard download have failed, so I'm hoping there is a work around to be able to use my license key from 9 Standard and get whatever I need from there. I've searched through these forums but am not finding anything definitive.  Anyone?
    Thanks.

It's an absurd thing to sell computers without CD/DVD drives, don't you think? It's a weird idea that comes from the US where many people have fabulous broadband, and moving gigabytes to the web to back it up is no issue at all. In my part of the world it's a sick joke. I believe a plug-in CD/DVD drive is an absolute must.
Not least because you'll want to back up Acrobat XI download on to a CD/DVD. If you don't, and in a couple of years Adobe don't offer it any longer, then that's the money down the drain - many times the cost of a drive.
Happily to solve this problem you don't meed to get Acrobat 9 Standard installed. You can indeed put in the license key when asked for it (it will ask for "qualifying product"). You can choose to upgrade to Acrobat XI Standard or Acrobat XI Pro, I think but be very sure to choose Acrobat Standard as your qualifying software.

  • UPGRADE REQUEST ACROBAT X1 standard 10.1.6 to 11.x

A week ago I just bought a new laptop with Acrobat X1 Standard 10.1.6 installed (OEM). I'd like to upgrade to 11.x. How can this be done? The laptop came with the 10.1.6 version pre-installed and the install CD was not included, just the "certificate" with the serial number. Where can I download the installation file to be used with ythis serial #?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Can you upgrade Acrobat 9 Standard from a "bundle" license?

Can you upgrade Acrobat 9 Standard to Acrobat XI Standard if you have a "bundle" license?  The Acrobat 9 Standard CD envelope has a serial number that must be used to install the software.

    Hi cloudnavigator,
I am not sure what 'bundled' license means here but since you have the serial number with the CD envelope, it's a retail license you have bought.
You are eligible to purchase an upgrade to acrobat 11 Std./ Pro.

  • Will an Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Upgrade license work to upgrade an Adobe Acrobat XI Standard installation?

The buying guide for the XI Pro Upgrade (here - Buying guide | Adobe Acrobat XI Pro) does not list Adobe XI Standard in the left hand column... but I currently have XI Standard and want to to go XI Pro, will this work?

    Hi Mike ,
There is no such policy to upgrade license from Acrobat XI Standard to Acrobat XI Pro.
If you have the subscription for the Standard version ,you need to get that cancelled and get a new subscription for Acrobat Pro.
If you have the retail version or if you have purchased the software ,you can return that and get a new retail version for Acrobat XI Pro.
For more information ,please contact the technical support.

  • Can't install upgrade from Acrobat XI Standard to Acrobat XI Pro

I have Acrobat XI Standard installed on a new Dell Windows 7 PC. I just purchased an upgrade to Acobat XI Pro. I paid $199 and successfully downloaded the installation file from www.adobe.com.
When I try to install the package, the installation proceeds through a few standard screens (e.g., the Welcome screen), and then I receive a setup error:
"Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate."
Clearly, Acrobat XI Standard is not a more functional product than Acrobat XI Pro. How do I get around this error so that I can install the upgrade?

    Hey habilock,
The reason why you are getting this error is that you are attempting to install Acrobat XI pro over XI standard, but you cannot install the same version of Pro over Standard.
If they are different versions (like Acrobat Pro XI over Acrobat X), then it would work.
You can also check the following link that clearly specifies that there is no such upgrade option of Acrobat XI over Standard:
Buying guide | Adobe Acrobat XI Pro
For more details on the same, you can refer another forum link discussing the same issue:
setup has detected you already have a more functional product installed....
    Hope that helps.

  • In 2014, Since I upgraded my OS to Win 7, everytime I update Acrobat X Standard I get and error.  The problem seems to be with permissions for folders is there a permanent fix??

In 2014, Since I upgraded my OS to Win 7, every time I update Acrobat X Standard I get and error.  The problem seems to be with permissions for folders is there a permanent fix??

Is there any indication of the specific folder you are having problems with. Are you logged in as the administrator (or the same as when you installed) and have anti-virus disabled during the update? You might also try the updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows.

  • Upgrade Acrobat X standard to X pro get error 1334 "convertxf.exe" not found on install

Have operational Acrobate X Standard software already on my PC using Windows XP
upgraded to Acrobate X Pro, dowloaded with no problems, During install encountered the following error:
    Error 1334. The file
    "convertxf.exe, 715C03BA_A57B_4264_80D9_38D98029F5A7"
cannot be installed because the files cannot be found in cabinet file
'Data 1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading
from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
The Data 1. Cab file look to me to be orignally down loaded with the Acrobate X standard. I have re-downloaded Acrobate X standard and re-installed I still have the same problem. I have also re-down loaded and re-installed Acrobate X Pro, same problem.
    Any suggenstions?

Are you able to remove Acrobat 10 Standard using the Programs & Features control panel?

  • Reinstalling Adobe Acrobat 7 Standard [PL] + upgrade to Adobe Acrobat X Standard

    Hi,
after migrating one of my users to his new PC it turned out we lost the necessary Upgrade packet with the installation files. I called Adobe tech support, but the lovelly consultant informed me, that they won't send a copy of any older versions of this software. The only Adobe Acrobat X installer I could find on the net was Pro, not standard. The Pro edition [in ENG, no PL version available for trial use] does not accept the "Adobe Acrobat X Standard upgrade" licence key.  Could anyone provide me with a matching installation packet? Finding Adobe Acrobat 7 standard in PL wasn't a breeze, but still happened.
    Thanks

How did you originally purchase your license of Acrobat X Standard?  If you purchased an ESD, you should be able to log into the Adobe site with the Adobe ID that made the purchase and download your software again.  If you purchased a boxed copy, I'm afraid we can't help you with the media.
Let me know how you originally purchased your upgrade.
