Acrobat X Std.: How to geht "Document JavaScripts" & "Edit All JavaScripts" Options

Hi,
I am trying to add a date stamp while opening the PDF-Document. For that reason I need to edit the "Document JavaScripts" and am missing that option.
My view of the Tools pannel:

The linked Video above give a well working description for adding a date stamp when an end user prints the form. The only difference, I want to add a date stamp while opening the PDF-Document. This can, refering to reply 2 of http://forums.adobe.com/message/4212629, only be done in "Document JavaScripts".

Hi All,
i am having an issue with Office web apps. i am using SharePoint 2013 and Office web apps 2013. all the configurations have been done successfully. but i have a different kind of issue.
i am able to open documents in browser
i am able to edit document using " edit with word/excel web" option
but i am unable to edit document using "edit with word/excel" option
i have Office 2010 installed on my local machine.
do we need to have MS office of 2013 version? or is there anything missing from configuration part.

According to your post, my understanding is that you could not use the "edit with word/excel" option.
I had tested the issue with the Office 2010, the option worked well.
You don’t need to install the Office 2013 to use this option.
What did you mean “but i am unable to edit document using "edit with word/excel" option
Did you mean the option gray out? Did the issue occur in other browsers?
You can use compatibility mode to check whether it works.
Open IE->Tools->Compatibility View Settings
You can also add the site into Trusted sites.
Open the IE->Internet Options->Security->Sites->add the site into the Websites, then check whether it works.
What's more, you can also use other browsers to check whether it works, such as Firefox, Chrome.

Acrobat 9 Std-how to append new pages to existed/opened pdf file

i am using Acrobat 9 standard version.
when i used the scanner to create a pdf, but the file had many pages so i could not finish it before lunch. Therefore, i had to append new pages to the opened file.
In past, 7 standard i could choose append to the opened file but 9 standard i don't have this function. Finally, i found the
DOCUMENT / SCAN TO PDF / CUSTOM SCAN / TICK THE APPEND TO .....
But, only 1 scan is allowed , what can i do now ????

You can scan to different files, the you should be able to insert the
second group of files into the first file using Documtent->Insert Pages.

Acrobat 9 Std - Comments- 'Enable for Commenting And Analysis In Reader' option Missing

Hi,
We've purchased a copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard, and need to enable comments in Reader for PDFs that we create in Acrobat. The option to "Enable For Commenting And Analysis In Reader" seems to be missing from the "comments" menu, even though all the videos/tutorials insist it's there.
I haven't found any threads about this yet, and searched google for the missing option + "missing" along with other things. Nothing related came up.
Any ideas on what we could try? Or why this is happening?

I don't think Standard has this option. Acrobat Pro does.

How can I share/view/edit all of my photos in iPhoto on iMac with iPhoto on MacBook Pro?

I have all my photos stored on iPhoto '11 on my iMac. I have a MacBook Pro Retnia with iPhoto that I would like to be able to view these same photos on. Is this possible? If so, please let me know how?
Also, if possible, can I edit and/or download photos to one computer's iPhoto and have them updated (sync) with the other computer?
Finally, how do all of these photos with edits, etc relate to what I see on my iPad 3rd generation and iPhone 5?

To view your library on another computer on the same network, you could use "Sharing". Set the iPhoto Preferences to share your entire library or selected albums:

iPhoto Libraries cannot be synched between computers. If you want to have the libraries on both computers identical, you need to use the same library on both machines. Store your iPhoto library on an external disk (formatted MacOS X Extended (Journaled) and plug the disk into the mac you are currently working with. Don't put the library onto a network drive - that will be a very sow access and may corrupt your photo library.
To add new photos/events to iPhoto your other mac you can use the Photo Stream.
Finally, how do all of these photos with edits, etc relate to what I see on my iPad 3rd generation and iPhone 5?
You can only sync one iPhoto library with each OS device. If you sync a device alternately with each computer using iTunes Photo sync, the albums synced from the other photo library will be replaced by the new sync.

First Try a Restore from Backup... But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup... Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

There are two "stages" in PS Touch. One is the project selection user interface (which is where you start when you launch PS Touch). The other is the editing user interface (where all the editing magic happens).
PS Touch projects are self-contained, i.e., they remain in PS Touch until you export them for whatever purpose you need them for in the project selection user interface.
Say you want to export an edited PS Touch project to your Camera Roll (in iOS) or Photos/Gallery (in Android). You'd go to the project selection user interface, tap the export icon (5th icon from the upper right) > Save to Camera Roll/Gallery > select a file format > select a project > OK. You should then have your exported PS Touch project in your device's photos folder. (Remember they're separate; the actual PS Touch project stays in PS Touch. You're free to move the exported JPEG or PNG image anywhere you want.)

Opening a document in editable format

Does anyone know of a way to set the default for Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 to open documents in edit able format? I am trying to simplify the process of opening and completing forms as easy as possible.

The form needs to have form fields added (like the IRS forms). This can be done in Acrobat with the tools>advanced editing, select the form field of interest. You can also create forms in Designer (no longer being able to edit the PDF in Acrobat) using the FORMS button under the button just to the right of tools (sorry, this machine only had AA5 and the menus are different). I would use the Acrobat forms myself, but there are many that use Designer, particularly since Adobe has placed a FORMS button under the menu I could not remember. Thus folks think that is the only way to create forms.
When the form is saved in Acrobat (if you have AA8 and want backward compatibility, use Reduce File Size or PDF Optimizer to save the file with backward compatibility). When the form is opened, you should simply have to locate the cursor over a form field and fill it in. If there are standard entries, you could also use list fields or just pre-fill a field. Bill

I have a real need to add text fields to Acrobat document pages from Applescript. I can't access the Headers and Footers from Applescript in Acrobat XI. I can set watermarks using the following script, but cannot for the life of me work out how to add text fields. Any advice please?

G'day
Unfortunately I don't have the API. My Adobe Reader installation updating to version XI failed, and subsequent attempts to fall back on the X version are blocked by the partial install of XI. Damn Adobe stuff.
Could someone please post the relevant part of the API to give me some pointers, please.
I ha mucked about with some information I found on the Web, and come up with the following, which fails because I can't work out how to address the current document with the variable myDoc.

It sounds like you've enabled the High-Contrast Color option under Edit > Preferences > Accessibility (Win) or Acrobat > Preferences > Accessibility (Mac). Uncheck the 'Replace Document Colors' checkbox, then hit 'OK' to turn this off.

Accessing Javascript console in Acrobat X Std

Good evening,
for some reason the "Ctrl + J" shortcut does not work on my Acrobat X Std. The shortcut does show up in the helpfile so I assume there is something wrong. Does anybody else have the same issue?

OK, I get it. Try the following:
Create a plain text file with the following code "console.show()", you can call it something like "open console.js".
If you are on a Mac:
Open up your Acrobat app by right clicking and picking "Show Package Contents", navigate to Contents/Resources/JavaScripts and put the script there.
If you are on a PC:
Place the above script in /Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat ?/Acrobat/JavaScripts
Then restart your Acrobat and hopefully after start-up your console will pop open.
