Acrobat X: Triple click doesn't select paragraph...

Acrobat X: Triple click doesn't select paragraph. It only select a line of text. Can this be fixed?

Another user posted about this for Firefox 31 (the ESR version, so could have been even earlier) ([https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1027748 Double click select all does not work in web site's search area after going back.]) (it really should reference triple-click, I think).
The corresponding new bug report is: [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1094041 1094041 – Double click select all does not work after form history shows up] (it really should reference triple-click, I think). That doesn't seem to have gone anywhere as the cause of the change was not obvious.
Have you tested in Firefox's Safe Mode to rule out one or more of your extensions as possible culprits? That's a standard diagnostic tool as you probably know. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Any difference?

• Triple click doesn't select all when autocomplete appears.

I recently updated to Firefox 34.0.5 (on Windows 7) and it seems like every time I get an issue sorted out, I discover another one. Today, I have realized that triple-clicking within a form or text field does not select all of the text if the autocomplete appears. This has never been an issue for me with previous Firefox versions. This is quickly become a nuisance for me and I would like to get it resolved ASAP. I have tried looking around for solutions, but all I've really been able to find is this bug report:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=307776
I've read through that and related reports, but I didn't see a resolution anywhere. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Note: "browser.triple_click_selects_paragraph" is set to true and it works as expected, but NOT if the autocomplete dropdown appears.
EDIT: I have also just discovered that I can no longer delete autocomplete entries by highlighting them and pressing Delete. Were these changes actually intentional or is there just a problem on my end?

• Ctrl + click doesn't select ALL non-transparent pixels

Hello. How can I select ALL non-transparent pixels from a layer?
- Ctrl + click doesn't work (it seems to have a 50% tolerance - my opacity 7% and 40% pixels don't get selected);
- The magic wand tool with 0% tolerance does work (when I click on a transparent pixel it selects ALL opacity 0% pixels around it and then I just have to inverse selection), BUT my image has a lot of holes with transparent areas and selecting them one by one would be tedious.
Thank you.

I think it should. if your only going by the selection outline, then the selection outline only shows the pixels that are 50% or more selected.
In other words the pixels have varying degrees of transparency. If the selected pixel is not at least 50% opaque then the selection outline doesn't show them, but they are selected when ctrl clicking on a layer thumbnail.
After making the selection by ctrl clicking make a new layer and fill the selection with black and then turn off the visibilty of all the other layers.
You should get a better idea of what is happening. If you were to lock the transparency of the layer and fill with black you should get the same result.
If you use the magic wand at 0% tolerance then your not getting a true selection of the layer transparency, but rather making the partially transparent pixels fully opaque (selected).

• Control-click doesn't select multiple thumbnails?

Two of our workstations have recently lost the ability to control-click to select multiple thumbnails. Control-click works in other applications, including Windows Explorer, but control-clicking in the thumbnails pane in Acrobat simply selects the next thumbnail - it doesn't add to the current selection as it used to.
These workstations are running Acrobat Pro 9.4.5. They are fully updated. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much. I did do a forum search but didn't find this. I appreciate you sending me in the right direction.

• Shift and left click doesn't select all files in a folder

When i want to select a group of consecutive files, shift & left click only selects the first & last file & not all in between. How do i change this to select ALL? Im using a 2014 MacBook Air running the latest version of Yosemite (as of 4th January 2015).

Switch to list or column view. If you must use icon view, instead of Shift-clicking items, click on an empty space near one of them and drag to enclose them.

• In IE, triple clicking will select an antire paragraph. In Firefox, double-clicking will select a word, but it stops there. Is there a way to get the IE behavior?

In IE and most Windows apps, double-click will select a word and triple click will select a paragraph. In Firefox on Windows WP, double-click selects a word, but triple click does nothing more.
Is there some way I can get Firefox to select the paragraph?

Triple-click still works for me in Firefox 6.0.2.
Try the Firefox SafeMode.
''A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.''
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)''
# You can open the Firefox 4/5/6/7 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
# Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.''
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.
• Clicking the Stamp tool doesn't select the most recently used stamp - Acrobat X

My issue is pretty much what the title says. Clicking the Stamp tool doesn't select the most recently used stamp. According to the Help screens and training videos, it should. I've checked Edit > Prefernces and could not find a setting that adjusted this behavior of the Stamp tool. Does anyone know what can be done to fix this? BTW - It's not just my installation of Acrobat X. Other users at my firm are having the same issue. The OS is Windows 7. Users have administrator rights. Thanks in advance.

Hello Abhilasha,
So, what your saying is that this function, the ability to select the most recently used stamp by clicking the stamp tool, has been removed, in spite of the fact that Acrobat's Help pages says it can be done (Using Acrobat X Standard > Collaboration > Commenting > Apply a Stamp > Step 1 > Second bullet). I wish they would put it back. It was quite handy.
Perhaps I should adjust my request. Do you (or anyone else) know of a way to use the same stamp several times in a row without having to choose the stamp from the stamps list? For example, if you needed to put a check-mark stamp in several places in a document, it would be a pain to have to go back to the list each time. Is there perhaps an undocumented feature (maybe holding down a particular key while using the stamp) that would allow for multiple stamping?
Thank you,
Phillip

• InDesign CS5 triple click to select text doesn't work

Hey guys
I'm really frustrated because I've just upgraded to CS5 and I have really run out of ideas. When I was using CS4, when I triple click on a text frame with any tool, it will activate the text tool and select the whole word I triple clicked.
What has happened to this feature in CS5? I have checked the preference and the triple click option is checked. So I cannot see why isn't it working for me. I'm really frustrated because it just means I have to change my way of doing things which it has developed into a habit after 4 years of using InDesign.
I really appreciate some help here. I want that feature back. I don't wanna go looking for another solution and learn another habit. Don't have the time.
Thanks guys.
PS. If I sound really rude that;'s because I really have no time... thanks.

I'm not sure what you're meaning by the background image highlighting. But you could put it on its own layer and hide the layer. Or you could lock the object (Object > Lock).
But I would first try a couple ways of dealing with problems. Restore your InDesign preferences: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990
You could also have a corrupted file. You could try this: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526991

• I am no longer able to triple-click to select a line separated by dash or spaces. Not all situations, but some. This is a new behavior.

At some point in the last few months, some update has changed the behavior of triple-clicking in web forms. I have been using this method to copy data from one screen to another for years. It doesn't happen in every field, but it consistently fails in many different scenarios.

I think that by default triple-clicking should select:
* the entire contents of a single-line control
* the current paragraph in a multi-line control
If you discover a pattern, could you post a sample text that causes the problem? We then can paste it into this compose box for testing. Or if this occurs in particular forms, you could post directions to that problem field on the form so we could investigate it (assuming no login is required).
Also, if you want everything in a one-line or multi-line form control, you can use Select All. Either:
* left-click in the text, then Ctrl+a
* right-click in the text > Select All

• Click on object to select - doesn't select?

I'm new to Fireworks - trying it for more or less the first
time.
When I click on something, it doesn't select it. Only seems
to select it if that object's layer is selected first. Is that
normal? Is there some way to get it so that when I click on
something it's selected?

It is if you have single layer editing selected.

Open the layers menu and click on Single Layer Editing to
deselect it.

• Right-click doesn't work on select boxes, checkboxes & radio buttons. On other elements, there's no"Inspect Element" option

After installing FF 6.0, right-click doesn't work on select boxes, checkboxes & radio buttons, i.e. nothing happens on right-clicking.
The context-menu is available on other elements, but there's no"Inspect Element" option in the context-menu

Regarding the two-button click: just go to the "Sytem Preferences --> Mouse" pop-op and under "One Finger", check the "Secondary Click" box. Problem solved. I don't know how I missed this the first 3 times I went to there. Oh well.
And as for why I had to change the Trackpad settings to get the Magic Mouse zoom feature to work (see original question): I'm still stumped. Your guess is as good as mine.
Hope this helps!
