Acrobat XI configure presets for page size??

Configure presets will not allow you to change the page size from automatic.  I get legal size documents instead of letter size.

Hey Gregory,
Please refer the KB doc links mentioned below:

Let me know if this helps.

  • I can't configure the custom page Size Dimensions!!!

    We want to print form with special dimensions.
    We did the following steps:
    1. Select print (adobe pdf), properties, presentations, advanced options, PostScript Custom Page Size Definition.
    2. The range to define don't appear in the unit Milimeter.
    I am using Acrobat Standar XI. (11.0.03) and there aren't more updates.
    Thanks for your help.

    Gracias,

  • How can I export from Excel to pdf using Acrobat Std to achieve uniform page size throughout the whole pdf document?

    After exporting the whole workbook to a single pdf file, page sizes are inconsistent. When viewing the document in full screen, some pages show up as 25% zoomed, others as 34%.  I could re-print the exported pdf file to pdf in Acrobat Std, and that way I could get the same page size throughout the document, but then I loose my bookmarks, which I don't want.
    I have already set the page size to A4 in Excel, but that's not where my problem lies. any help, hint is appreciated.

    A good place to start is Karl Heinz Kremer's blog, where he has a few examples:

  • More presets for canvas sizes(dimensions)

    Example:Android wallpaper,Windows Wallpaper,Facebook Timeline...etc.It would be alot easier than searching the internet and hoping you got it right.

    Maybe I have mad it too quickly after each other.
    But when I choose one of the presets I have made. Then you see 19, bij 12,7 by each of them. Just like the second screenshot.

  • Small Problem in Compute for Page Size when using inline overflow

    Hi Everyone:
    It appears to me that in 11g when I am using:
    1) A table-form layout
    2) Inline Overflow
    3) Compute as the Table Width
    The Compute does not seem to take into account the width of the "twistie" as I call it, which is a small triangular arrow that points right when there is something in the inline overflow and points down when you are viewing what is in the inline overflow.
    The pages that have these 3 characteristics have a scroll bar along the bottom, that needs just a little more room. I am assuming that this is the "twistie" width not being taken into account.
    I looked on this forum as well as the Release Notes to see if this was a known issue but didn't find it, and I can send you a testcase with the HRSchema, if you want.
    I realize that I can use "pixels" instead of compute for the Table Width, but I thought I should report this to you if you didn't already know.

    Mary,
    Are you using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4?
    I so, that explains it. This JDev release has some annoying layout changes. The good news is that JHeadstart 11.1.1.3 which has just been released should solve these layout issues.

  • 9 Pro Extended: Paper Size: Automatic in Configure Presets but get 8.5 x 14 on scan

    Using 9 Pro Extended on Win 7 with Epson Workforce 645 Printer.
    When I scan a letter size document into Acrobat the page size ends up legal.
    In File/Create PDF from Scanner/Configure Presets the Paper Size is set to Automatic.
    Is there something else that needs to get set to allow Acrobat to get the paper size automatically from the scanner?
    Thanks.

    OK, I see.
    The scanner needs to be sending the page size info so that Acrobat can use it
    for the Auto setting.
    I did a scan with the size set to Letter. Now it seems to be sticking with that size.
    Thanks.

  • Presets for size on PSE 12

    On the old Photoshop Elements 2.0, when I opened New, there were several presets for the size, like A4, A3 etcetera. On Elements 12 I can't find these options. Do I simply have to type in 21 cm and 29,7 cm for A4 or is there anothe solution? Thanks in advance for your reaction!

    Thanks, 99jon!

  • Introduce left/top margin: Change Page Size ignored

    I have a vector drawing of a technical schematic in PDF.  The drawing is an extract of a much larger schematic, so it is very small: 2.2" by 1.648".  However, when I print it out, it is resized to fill up a Letter size paper (8.5" by 11") and the size is then perfect for viewing.  Also, the PDF has no white space around the edges, so the same PDF is perfect for importing into documentation packages.
    However, for hard copy printing, depending on the exact aspect ratio of the drawing, I will sometimes want to introduce white space along one edge for hole-punching purposes.  I am opening the PDF and printing it from Acrobat 8 Professional.  I cannot use Document->Cropping because I am trying to introduce a margin rather reduce an existing margin.  I tried using the Change Page Size controls in the cropping dialog panel.  Originally, it was set to Fixed Sizes and Page Sizes was set to None.  I selected Custom instead of Fixed Sizes, then I entered in the Width and Height in inches, with the Height being about 0.5" more than the original 1.648" (it's landscape, so the holes will be at the top).  However, the illustrative diagram does not change, and neither do the dimensions shown on it.  I click OK and the PDF as viewed did not change -- no white space.  When I go back into the Change Paper Size dialog, all the size data that I entered is gone and the control have reverted back to Fixed Size with a Page Size of None.  I explored the dropdown list for Page Sizes, and none of them are appropriate for such a small diagram.
    What I'm trying to achieve is a pretty simple effect, and I thought it would be straightforward.  It has to be *very* simple as I expect to do this regularly.  Is there actually a way?  Ideally, it doesn't involve calculating all sorts of bounding boxes and offsets.  Who knows what the assumed reference points for those are.  In fact, the most direct way would be to enter a negative Margin Controls in the Crop Margins region of the dialog.  That is not possible, of course.

    Actually, I found a way.  The reason why the page size was being ignored is because the numbers were too small.  If I enter a big enough number, it sticks.  It would be nice to get a message to that effect though.......sigh.
    I can then adjust the cropping margins to get the gutter.
    Thanks.

  • Defining Page sizes.

    I'm using a Epson LX-300 (matrix), using Reports 6i. How can I personalize the page size vertically. I have configured and reconfigured all the parameters to define sizing, but it seams that the driver overrides these. There are also no options in configuring a personalized page size on the driver.
    Is there a way around this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Paul,
    You can set the Epsom LX-300 paper size on the printer itself. This allows paper sizes of 8.5, 11, 12, 70/6, 5.5, 7, 17, 14, 8, 6, 4, 3.5 or 3 inches. This is for continuous paper only. Once set the printer overrides the print driver settings.
    To get help/menus on setting the internal settings you need to switch the printer off, hold down the font button and switch the printer back on.
    I did get a custom paper size option when using the LX-100 printer driver (I did not have a LX-300 driver).
    Something I did discover was that if I used a custom paper size and this printer was not my default printer, when ever I used this printer in my reports it pulled through the paper size from my default printer, which was not the paper size I wanted. This is a 'feature' of windows !
    hope this is of some help

  • Defining page size in XML Publisher

    Can we define page size using XML Publisher APIs.
    We have a problem where a single RTF template will be used for different countries and depending upon the country, the report needs to be printed on Letter or A4 or anything.
    I could find a parameter for Orientation but none for page size.
    Is there something we can do for defining page size or we need to rely on the printer setup.

  • How do I change the page size of a pdf?

    I'm trying to send a manuscript to a printing service in another city. It was produced using Microsoft Publisher. In Acrobat Pro I changed the page size from the default (8 1/2" x 11") to the size of my finished document --- 7.8" x 10". Yet when I send the manuscript to the printer it's still the larger size. I've tried right-clicking on the pdf printer and changing to a close approximation (7.5" by 10"), which is listed as one of the available alternatives, but it won't let me change it. What am I doing wrong?

    There's no real need to do that. A PDF can have pages of different sizes.

  • Adjusting the page size in numbers on the ipad

    I need to be able to adjust/set the page size for numbers documents on the ipad. Every time I export the numbers document from icloud as a pdf to a pc the spreadsheets are all over the place with page breaks in the wrong places. If i export as an excel I lose all formatting. I can't download as a numbers doc as the pc will not support it. Is there a way of setting and locking the document/page size with out going through the print option as i do not have an airprint printer and am not going to get one either!

    I don't see a setting for page size.  Everything else related to that (sans setting the page size) appears to be found here:
    Click the wrench
    Share & Print
    Print
    Select portrait/landscape, content size, page numbering, headers
    Done (don't actually print it)
    I wonder if you set the page size when you actually go to print it.  I don't have a printer to try it on. Otherwise it looks like 8.5x11 is all you get.

  • Word 2010 Ribbon toggle button page size feedback

    For a Word template I am developing a custom ribbon for end-user ease of use and to protect the structure of the document. There is one issue I am currently running into for which I cannot find a solution.
    It started with a footer image which needs to be rescaled with the page width (page size and orientation) while retaining its aspect ratio. Apparently this is not possible without VBA (tried fill image for shape and set relative width, but that leaves
    the height fixed), so now the idea is to get a pull-down menu with toggle buttons for page size and orientation and change the image size using a macro. The options are A4 portrait, A4 landscape, A3 portrait and A3 landscape. The problem now is how
    to get the run-time feedback of page size and orientation to highlight the page setup of the active section, like the built-in size and orientation buttons.
    Hopefully this can be done.

    Hi AlexFolmer,
    Sorry for the delay.
    >> Create a custom ribbon menu with buttons to select the paper size, this can be done without too much effort. However, if this is to be implemented I would like the button representing the current paper size/layout to be highlighted in the same way
    as the Word native paper size/orientation buttons do
    Do you mean that you want to create a custom ribbon menu for user to select the Page size, and when you click the ribbon button, the current page size could be highlight. In my option, you could do as below:
    1.  Add a Combobox into the custom ribbon, set the items with “Item1”, “Item2”
    2. Add event to comboBox1_TextChanged, key code like below:
    private void comboBox1_TextChanged(object sender, RibbonControlEventArgs e)
    if (comboBox1.Text == "Item1")
    Globals.ThisDocument.PageSetup.PaperSize = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.WdPaperSize.wdPaperA3;
    else if (comboBox1.Text == "Item2")
    Globals.ThisDocument.PageSetup.PaperSize = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.WdPaperSize.wdPaperA5;
    For combobox, it has the function to highlist the selected item. At this time, we need to solve the issue for opening the document, the combobox would show the current pagesize. You could refer the code below:
    private void Ribbon1_Load(object sender, RibbonUIEventArgs e)
    if (Globals.ThisDocument.PageSetup.PaperSize == Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.WdPaperSize.wdPaperA5)
    comboBox1.Text = "Item2";
    You could refer the link below for more information about Globals.ThisDocument.PageSetup.PaperSize
    Reference:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.office.interop.word.pagesetup.papersize(v=office.11).aspx
    In addition, if you have issues about PageSetup.PaperSize, I will recommend you post a new thread.
    The reason why I suggested is:
    #1 There would be more community members to discuss the question.
    #2 For people who have the similar question, it would be easier for them to find the answer from a specific thread.
