Acrobat XI failed installation even after downloading program as well as trying to install from disc (Mac OS 10.10)

Im trying to install acrobat XI on a macbook pro (OS 10.10) education edition
I received the verification code registered with a serial number etc.
However the installation keeps failing 'the installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
are there issues installing this with Mac OS 10.10?

This issue is now resolved. The program told me that it failed on installation repeatedly - but in fact it did eventually work when I opened the document from the app folder. I guess that is the elaborate rigormorle that adobe wants its customers to undergo but am happy it now works.

i have resolved the issue.
I had to close down the App Store, re-open it, and in the purchases tab the error disappeared and the option to resume the download was there again. However, I have spent the last 3 days opening and closing the program, restarting my computer. There is obviously a problem with this because there are other users who've had the same issue. Have you run the iPhoto Library Upgrader? You need to direct it to the location of your old iPhoto Library by clicking the "Choose Library" button in the lower right corner of the panel you are seeing when the upgrade starts. -

Problem solved.
In iTunes, I selected Backup from my iPod's contextual menu under Devices. I then did a restore and all the music is back. It only took a few minutes.
These choices are only available via the device contextual menu, not the main iTunes pull-down menus. -
"Java Update" continually pops up on my computer saying I need to download the latest version (8.25). Even after downloading this latest version, this notice still pops up. I am worried it is a potential virus?

Well I'm not at all technical so all I can tell you is the docking station is plugged into a wall socket - and the cable is the original one that came with the docking station, and my other iPod, which is about 5 years old charges fine on the unit, it's driving me bonkers!!!! Thanks

If you're only getting the authorisation alert on one track on the album, that suggests the track is damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Locked-up at "Uploading file to Adobe ExportPDF online...", even after closing, exiting, clearing browser cache, clearing all documents from online library. Ctrl-Alt-Del EndTask also had no effect. Upon opening, searches for current status and then locks up... Any help?

After downloading Maverick I cannot save or email scans from my HP L7780. I receive error message "An error has occurred saving the file because it could not be written to. Check the properties for the file to make sure it is not read-only.
