Acrobat XI Install error
Just recieved Acrobat XI disk in the mail. Installation failed due to a datacab error. Now when I try to reinstall I get an invalid serial number error. How can I get rid of the partially installed files and start over? Program can't be uninstalled through Control Panel because it doesn't show in the list of installed programs.
Hi,
Provide your system information and try link given below to uninstall acrobat XI:

How to recover from Acrobat X install error?
Yesterday I tried twice to install Acrobat X Pro under Windows 7 after having successfully installed five of the other cloud applications. Both the first and the 'Try Again' attempts failed with the identical 1310 error that is described in various posts in the forums. I hibernated the computer overnight and this morning opened the Application Manager for Creative Cloud to again work on the problem. However, now the App Mgr nows shows Acrobat as "Installed" even though it is not shown in the list of All Programs with the other five successfully installed apps (e.g., InDesign). There is no visible way to uninstall Acrobat and then do a successful install. Now what do I do to get Acrobat from Creative Cloud working on this computer?
Is Acrobat X listed in Control Panel > Programs and Features?
Is it possible to uninstall it there?
I'm moving this thread over to our download/installation forum.

Acrobat XI Pro install errors 1935 &1603
Hi,
I have just upgraded from CS3 and run the Creative Cloud installer app but am having problems with Acrobat (whereas Indesign and Photoshop installed fine) on my workstation that is running Win 7 64-bit.
I have therefore uninstalled all Adobe products, run the Adobe CC Cleaner, checked .Net (currenly 4.5.1) is up to date and restarted but no luck as the attached screen grab where the 'more information' link states:

Can not open Acrobat Pro 9 out of my adobe creative suite 4 web premium. Keeps giving an error message. Adobe Acrobat was installed as part of a suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat start another component of this suite. I am running Windows 7 64 and already have the CS6 Premium Production Suite loaded on my computer. I really don't need to load all of the Web Premium since I have upgraded to CS6 programs but still need the Acrobat. My hard drive crashed and I've had to start all over again. This is the only glitch and it's becoming very frustrating.
Can't find a link to actually speak to someone at Adobe.you'll need to install and open some other 32 bit cs4 app.

Cannot embed pdfs in Word doc which are PDF Version 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x) [This is associated with Adobe Reader 9]. Getting 'program not installed' error.
Pdfs with other versions are okay:
Tested successfully with Adobe Pro 9 (Version 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x)), Reader X (Version 1.4 (Acrobat 5.x)) and XI (Version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x))
Also cannot open embedded pdfs which have been embedded with this version (getting a similar error).
Importantly I have removed/disabled all security options in Adobe Reader, following numerous internet suggestions from Adobe and elsewhere. This does not fix the problem.
Currently the work around is to re-save the pdf with something other than Adobe Reader 9 (so the version updates), but we would prefer not to do this for all the old pdfs we have.
Thank you,
Louise.Could you please email me the document on which you are seeing this issue at [email protected] ?
Please mention the forum thread link as well in the mail for the reference.
Thanks,

Acrobat Pro won't install: Error 1402: Could not open key on install attempt
I've been stuck in install hell for the past week. Here's my issue: I have Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium and want to install it on a PC running MS Vista, but when I attempt an install, I cannot install Adobe Acrobat 8.
Reading the event viewer, I get the following type error:
Product: Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional -- Error 1402. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\{8AD0743E-113B-4E26-BA21-1E9A71098F41}\InprocSe rver32. System error 5. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
Here's the problem: I'm basically playing whack-a-mole. Each time I go into regedit to change the registry permission for the named folder and attempt to install again, I get a new error saying that the Adobe install software could not open some other key. Each install attempt takes 15-20 min, and I must have done this 20+ times over the past week.
I've done all the obvious things like uninstalling everything Adobe (including my browsers Flash plug-in), running the CS3Clean software, running Vista in selective start-up, running setup as an administrator, barking at the moon, ect.
All the affected permission issues some to reside in the CLSID folder, but there is no way for me to set the permissions there and have them apply to all the subfolders without getting some sort of "whatever, we do what we want" error.
I'm at my wits end here. I've posted this to the Adobe customer support page, and four days after the supposed 25 hour turn-around, I still have yet to hear from Adobe. Any help would certainly be appreciated.i suggest a best way to solve this maan,
follow this,
create a new administrator user on your xp,
log off current user n log on to new admin user,
install yr program,
and
log off this admin user n log on to previous user,
n continue to use yr installed program
tahts it

CS6 Acrobat install error - Mac OSX 10.8.2

When I went to run Acrobat it loaded fine even though the install errored out. When I went to perform an upgrade it also threw an error stating that the install had been altered and therefor it couldn't install the upgrade. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall and it continues to do the same thing. Any ideas? Very frustrating...Hi All
First of all I have to say that for the amount of money spent on a software product Adobe's level of support is simple unacceptable. After spending many hr's on the phone and over 6 calls I gavce up. Each call the technician started from scratch in trouble shooting and did not even read the ticket info to see what was previously tried. The last couple of calls after 3 hrs on the phone each time, I was informed that this would be escalated to second and then thrid level support. Each time I was called back a week later where they left a msg to call back. When I called back the first person I talked to was the person again who attempted to trouble shoot the issue and the problem was never escalated So in the end after about more then 20hrs on the phone, 6 or 7 repeated occasions on the phone with tech support not including the ones where I called and sat on hold for over an hr and gave up, I simply gave up on their support. Unfortunately this left me with the only option of completely reinstalling OSX. -

[email protected]Dear,
If you posted your question here, the probability you can get the correct answer will be so small since the issue you encountered can only be found in Hong Kong area. If in the future you meet such a problem, it's better to contact Adobe customer service in your region and they will solve your issue accurately, since it is a common Acrobat installation issue in Hongkong.
If in the error message you find
"ERROR: Error 1324.The path R嶰up廨er un document num廨is?sur un multifonction.sequ or the volume is invalid. ",
hence you need to change your computer system language.
To do this in Win7, please go to your control panel> region and language> administrative> change system locale> and then change it to English (UK).
After that the system will ask you to restart the system, and then you can try to install your Acrobat smoothly. It is the only way to solve the issue.
After Acrobat is installed properly, you can change your system locale back into the previous one.
Hope this information could be helpful.
Yours sincerely,
Budy
