  • Acrobat does not load "Edit\Preferences\Color Management\Color Setup" properly.

When you convert a CMYK document with DeviceCMYK color space to profile, Acrobat X/XI Pro does not take the Working Space selected in "Edit\Preferences\Color Management\Color Setup" as the source space of DeviceCMYK object properly. But, after you change the "Settings" to any other setting (Like Jappan General Purpose 2) and confirm, and then change back to your wanted setting, thus, Acrobat will take the Working Space to convert color correctly. I tryed this many times, it reapears every time. It looks like that Acrobat does not load the "Color Setup" properly. Is there any one knows the reason of the problem? Is this a bug of Acrobat?

Could this only be a problem with clean installs of CS3?

  • Acrobat X not installing in Word 2010 toolbar

    Using Windows 7, 64-bit, and Office 2010 64-bit version.
Just installed Acrobat X Pro and it is not installing Acrobat into the Word 2010 toolbar, can't locate any Acrobat items in the Word toolbar/com add-in/ribbon menus.
I have installed it successfully on a 64-bit Windows 7 / 32-bit Office 2010 system and it did install Acrobat in the 32-bit Word menus.
Is there a problem with Acrobat X not working with 64-bit Office 2010?

  • Acrobat X Pro converting some Access 2010 reports to black and white

Hi!  My workstation is running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit SP1, Office 2010 Professional 32-bit and Adobe Acrobat X Pro (10.1.13).
My problem is with MS Access 2010 -- I have a query that pumps out reports from a Oracle Database.
The result of this query is 5 Reports - A, B, C, D, and E.  All Five Reports, when viewed in Access are in color (also verified this with Print Preview).
When I convert these 5 reports to PDF with the Acrobat Toolbar "Convert Multiple Reports" button within Access, Reports D and E turn to monochrome/grayscale.
Reports A, B, and C are still in color.
If I use the Export function in Access "PDF or XPS" these reports save to color.
If I use the Create PDF button on the Acrobat Toolbar, these reports save to color.
I have a workaround but would like to utilize the Convert Multiple Reports button, rather than convert these reports one by one.
And unfortunately, Acrobat XI Pro isn't supported in Access 2010 -- the Acrobat Toolbar will not appear in Access.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Hi Meridith ,
If possible please share the file with us so that we can check at our end .

  • Acrobat will not load with acrobat_sl.exe running

I'm encountering an issue when I try to open a PDF with Acrobat XI Standard.  It appears that the process acrobat_sl.exe is preventing the PDF from opening.  If I stop the acrobat_sl.exe process the file opens successfully.
I've tried to disable acrobat_sl.exe from msconfig and the registry, but it continues to run after a restart.
Is there another location that acrobat_sl.exe could be starting from?  Has anyone else experienced a similar issue where Acrobat will not start until after acrobat_sl.exe is stopped?

This is not an exhaustive search, but enough to prove my point. Per your request, here is a random sampling of customers with issues that involve the inability to open Acrobat. Regardless of the reason, it shows how prevalent the failure is for this particular application to simply not start up properly, when compared to any other application on the market. That in itself is an issue worth delving into.
Deeper in these forum contents you will find all sorts of whacky suggestions by helpful users as they attempt to assist other frustrated users at their wits end. Many commenters make reference to this having been an issue they've struggled with for years. And many a thread is just left with no final solution.
I so wished I had bookmarked for you every site I actually visited during my months long journey to find a fix. There you get to read for hours about whether it's a licensing issue, registry edit, or a rogue file that needs to be deleted.

  • Can not activate my access 2010?

Everything else (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK...) is good. It's just Access. The activation is successful. But it's continue requesting product key every time Access is opened.
I tried to open is as administrator, also uninstall and re install it. But does not work.
    Any idea, guys?

Two factors I can consider to may cause the problem:
    1. You've installed the following version of Office 2010 which is not included the Access liscence. Access programs installed on your computer before.
    Office 2010 Home and Student
    Office 2010 Home and Business
    Office 2010 Standard
    Office 2010 Professional
    Office 2010 Professional Academic University
    2. That is an indication that the activation was not completely successful due to Windows does not give the user the appropriate access to the registry to complete the activation.
    Check this:http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/office-2010-instatllation-and-activation/34348d8f-5b9a-42df-94bd-cd96635ecd88
Although you've tried to open it as administrator, I prefer that you try to create a new user account with local administrator permission,
remove Office 2010 completely and then reintall to check the result.

  • Recordset is not updateable in Access 2010 but works in previous versions

I have a database that writes data from SQL tables to unbound controls on an unbound form. This database has been in place for years and has worked great. We recently just upgraded to 2010 and now I' m receiving an error message saying that the recordset
is not updateable. This is the same exact code and settings and everything else that has worked in 2007.
I know there are other posts on here that addressed this but none of the recommendations have solved my problem. I've tried changing the forms to dynaset(inconsistent updates), etc. and nothing.
The actual SQL is all in VBA where it's running the SQL commands against SQL Server and writing the data to the unbound fields and then also writing it back to the tables. As I said, this has been in place for a number of years and has always worked great
but I just can't put any rhyme to reason why it's not working in 2010.

    Hi,
Based on my research, here’s the information about this error message:
A recordset is never updateable when:
It is based on a Crosstab query.
It is based on a Union Query.
It is an Aggregate Query that calculates a sum, average, count or other type of total on the values in a field.
It is an Update Query that references a field in the Update To row from either a crosstab query, select query, or subquery that contains totals or aggregate functions
Note: By using a domain aggregate function in the Update To row of an update query, you can reference fields from either a crosstab query, select query, or subquery that contains totals or aggregate functions.
It is based on a Query that includes a linked ODBC table with no unique index.
The database was opened as read-only or is located on a read-only drive.
It is a SQL pass-through query.
It is a query whose UniqueValues property is set to Yes. (That is, it is a query with a DISTINCT predicate.)
Cartesian Joins(that is, a query that includes more than one table or query, and the tables or queries aren't joined by a join line in Design view.)
Query based on three or more tables in which there is a many-to-one-to-many relationship.
Note: Though you can't update the data in the query directly, you can update the data in a form or data access page based on the query if the form's RecordsetType property is set to Dynaset (Inconsistent Updates).
Calculated fields. Even if the query itself is updateable, if a column in a query is based on a formula, the field cannot be updated. However, if the other fields in the formula are updated, the calculated field
    will automatically update.
Recordsets Are Updateable Under Certain Conditions
    1. Query based on a Join of tables with no Relationship.
Problem: If a query is based on two or more tables that DO NOT have a relationship established (with Referential Integrity enabled), the query will be non-updateable.
Solution: Create a Primary Key or Unique Index on ALL of the fields used in the Join on the "one-side" table. To be clear, this means ONE primary key or unique index based on all of the fields, not separate indexes
    on each field.
In a query based on a Join of tables with a one-to-many relationship (1:M), you might not be able to edit the data in one or more fields. As the following examples show :
    2. Join field from the "one" side.
Problem: If you have a 1:M relationship created between two tables, you cannot change the primary key field (used in the Join) of the table on the "one" side of the relationship.
Solution: Enable cascading updates between the two tables.
    3. New records, if the "many" side join field doesn't appear in the datasheet
Problem: In a query based on a 1:M relationship, you can create a new record and fill in the fields that come from the "one" side table, but if the join field from the "many" side table is not visible in the
query (that is, the foreign key), you cannot add data to the "many" side fields.
Solution: Add the join field from the "many" side table (ie, foreign key) to your query to allow adding new records.
    4. New records on the "one" side that are duplicates of other "one" side records.
Problem: When adding a new record, if you try to type into the "one" side fields, you will be attempting to create a new record. Even if you use the same primary key values, it will give you an error.
Solution: Add a value to the "many" side join field (foreign key) that matches the "one" side join field (primary      key) of an already existing record. The "one" side values will simply
    appear.
    5. Join field from the "many" side, after you've updated data on the "one" side
Problem: If you are currently editing fields from the  "one" side of the relationship, you cannot change the "many" side join field (foreign key).
Solution: Save the record; then you'll be able to make changes to the "many" side join field.
    6. New records, if entire unique key of ODBC table isn't output
Problem: This is different than #5 under Never Updateable. In this case, the primary key of the linked ODBC table exists, but is not added to the query.
Solution: Select all primary key fields of ODBC tables to allow inserts into them.
    7. Query does not have Update Data permissions
Problem: Query (or underlying table) for which Update Data permission isn't granted.
Solution: To modify data, permissions must be assigned.
    8. Query does not have Delete Data Permissions
Problem: Query (or underlying table) for which Delete Data permission isn't granted
Solution: To delete data, permissions must be assigned.

  • Images not loading while accessing portal from internet

    Hi all
we are trying to publish the portal on internet. We have used  apache as reverse proxy  and it is in dmz .
When we access the portal from internet we are getting the  login page  but it is with out images (e.g branding imag etc).
we also could login  in the portal but we only see  the links for  Help  Personalize  Log off  , Histrory Back  and Forward  remaining page is blank.
Is this reverse proxy configuration issue?
Can any body help us in resolving this issue.
    Regards
    Rajendra.

    Hi Rajendra/Experts,
We are currently working on custom webdynpro application which needs to be exposed to Internet using Apache HTTP Server.
We can able to access URL, but no images are getting displayed and also the application not functioning when we click any button/links.
    Below is HTTPD file configuration
    ProxyPass /esampleApp http://hostname:port/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/esampUI/ESamplingApp
    ProxyPassReverse /esampleApp  http://hostname:port/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/esampUI/ESamplingApp
when we look in to images URL which is being called from Apache we  found out "webdynpro" is missing in the URL.
Actual URL in Portal Server: (working)
    http://portalhostname:port/webdynpro/resources/local/esampUI/Components/esampling.ui.ESamplingComp/logo.gif
    Apache URL:
    http://Apachehostname:port/resources/local/esampUI/Components/esampling.ui.ESamplingComp/logo.gif
    Please suggest.

  • Add-in for Access 2010/2013 with Visual Studio 2012 (2013 Preview)

    Hello!
Am i right: Microsoft wants to kill Access in favor of Azure/SQL stuff?
I was unable to find any Projects in Visual Studio 2012/2013 to create an Addon for Access 2010 or 2013 (only Word, Excel, Outlook).
    There is even no Microsoft.Office.Tools.Access.ApplicationFactory
to install add-in to Access App.
    Any solutions for VS 2012?
Or i should use outdated Shared Add-in with VS 2010?
    Thank you!

    Sorry Donald M from Microsoft,
You need to rethink that response.  IDTExtensibility2 is an outdated Office 2003 technology.
Everything EXCEPT the ThisAddIn.designer.cs reference to ApplicationFactory _factory compiles when you switch references in another Office application's VSTO project template to msaccess and dao libraries.  Even the Access icon shows up in Visual
Studio 2013.  The only reason a Ribbon.xml project will not load into Access is that Microsoft hasn't provided the Microsoft.Office.Tools.Access DLL for it.  If you leave the Factory reference pointing to global::Microsoft.Office.Tools.Factory,
the add-in compiles but will not load.
MICROSOFT: Please provide us the missing Factories for MSAccess and OneNote.

  • MS Access 2010 and Oracle SQL Developer Version 4.0.3.16 Error

    OS: Windows 7 Enterprise
    System Type: 64-bit Operating System
I can not get MS Access 2010 to work/open with SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16.
ERROR when testing connection to MS Access 2010
"Status : Failure -Test failed: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"
I added the 32-bit ODBC data source for the MS Access I am trying to use with SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16 with the "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe" application, but I still get the same error.
I appears that SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16.is looking at the 64-bit driver (ODBC Data Source) and I have no idea to direct SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16 to use the 32-bit driver (ODBC Data Source) when opening MS Access 2010.
Thank you in advance for your advice.

I downloaded the SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16 "sqldeveloper-4.0.3.16.84-x64.zip" that included the jre.
How do I check which Java JDK I am running (32-bit versuns 64-bit)?
In the command prompt I use "java -version" and I get this message "java is not recognized as an internal or external command"

  • Embedded asset will not load from aliased domain

I have a flash movie with an embedded flash movie that uses the get_URL to load an externally linked movie. The file works fine if coming from the root domain, but we also have three different domains virtually hosted to the same web root and the embedded movies will not load if accessed from those other domains. Current external URLs are absolute and not relative, still no loading:
    www.topconpa.com
    www.topconprecisionag.com
    please advise
    Steve

Ok, since I am stuck I did a complete DE-install/Re-Install of all Flash Players and Flash Builder. Clean slate. Thats not it.
As I have multiple web sites and bounce between Mac and Windows, it can be challenging to keep track. I had been using the Firefox FireFTP Addon to move files around as it was convenient. This was the problem.  Simple answer is FireFTP was doing something wacky (?)  to the SWF files when going from Windows to the Linux hosts.  Using the builtin Microsoft Network Places FTP client or the excellent Transmit 4 on Mac OS X both resulted in working SWF files from my web sites.
Final Answer: the FTP client messed up the SWF file. Gotta watch that!

  • Scrolling issue with Sharepoint 2010 in brower IE9 and Chrome sp.ribbon.js is not loading at first time

The scroll bar does not appear on the loading of the sharepoint site. It appears only after refreshing 2 or 3 refreshes. We have found that SP.Ribbon.js does not load on page load it gets delayed as it appears after the refreshing.
We have tried various CSS work around but could manage to get the scroller in browsers but the ribbon will not still appear. from CSS we are able to bring scroller but its a Page scroller but ribbon wont work, somehow we need to load sp.ribbon.js after
all webpart loads at one server request by the browser.
if any more information  required please get back to me.
